I personally really dislike blush/highlight duos because brands seem to have a difficult time pairing complimentary blushes and highlights. What appears to be the lightest highlight in this collection is paired with the deepest blush. A midtone gold highlight is paired with a lighter peach blush. This problem isn’t unique to this launch, I’ve noticed a lot of brands have this issue and I realize this is just one promo image so I guess I’ll see how they look swatched/worn.

I thought the same thing about the combos; however when I listened to the ways he suggests you use them, especially the blush over the highlighter and buffed in (as he likes), I think the effect works better with colors that won’t take away from the blush, which is why Vivid Azalea (for example) has a very light and neutral highlighter. also since his test group includes (perhaps even focuses on) over 40, I think we’ll not have crazy highlighters that over power the blushes (unless the person is heavy handed and only wears them over the blush.)

The color pairings remind me of the Colored Raine Power Collection bush highlight duos. Which are 50% off right now. They also had a super deep red blush paired with an icy highlight. Pink with gold, etc.

Will have to check out. I did think that his combos seem very “dark to deep tone” wearable, so perhaps if he had persons of various colors in his test group they arrived at similar color scheme conclusions as Coloured Raine, who also seems to focus towards women with dark and deep skin tones.

Even though the pairing doesn’t completely make sense in my head, I am really drawn to that berry duo and am looking forward to seeing swatches of that pair.

That said, I will not be jumping on any of them as I have purchased more blush in the last six months than two cheeks need (I think 12, 20 if you want to get technical since six of them were duos, plus a bunch of highlighters from OFRA). Not sure where I thought I would be putting all that blush. But if that berry pairing swatches well it’s definitely going on my wishlist.

Oops – my math was off there – 18 from the 12 because six were duos, but it really was 20 total because I remembered I bought two of the Instain blushes from The Balm when I bought their TheBalmFire duos. I’ve been on a real blush kick for some reason (for, you know, the approximate one square inch of my cheek not covered by a mask).

These look interesting and I hope they are better than the eyeshadow palettes that he released. I do wish the blushes were released separately from the highlighters, as sometimes the highlighter match up doesn’t always suit. The peachy/coral one is probably my favourite.

No joke, I saw this promo photo, and the Mario one, and thought these collections were from Jouer Cosmetics.

I almost love these color combos. Maybe I’m in a minority, but I’d like to see the peach blush from the bottom paired with the icy highlight from the top. That would be a perfect pair for my skintone and preferences.

Really zero interest in this. I like the peachy blush but hate gold highlighters for the most part. Yellow gold doesn’t flatter me. I might do the pink but lavender highlight is a non interest. I bought a lavender highlight from Becca years ago and never reach for it. So 50% of it I won’t use
.

But enjoy those who love it!

This is the launch from Wayne Goss that I am the most interested in (apart from his brushes) but even then I’m not rushing out to get them. Like his eyeshadow palette I wish he had made these with smaller pans and less product (for a lesser price). When you have as much makeup as I do having tons of product (even or a good price) stops being a selling point.

These look great at first glance. The sizes are generous compared to other blush duos and the price is reasonable. I’m not leaning toward getting this considering I’m trying to start buying talc free but I am looking forward to reviews.

I think Wayne Goss is awesome and really like his brushes, but I’ve been underwhelmed my his makeup releases. The blush colors are okay, but I’m not terribly interested in a blush/highlighter duo, especially for $45. These are a pass for me.

I ordered the Vivid Azelea. It looks the most unique out of the other shades (I am saturated with blush.). I am curious to see how the highlighters are. Wayne said in his video that he had 40+ skin in mind when he tested and formulated these. I prefer a very smooth kind of highlighters, that are forgiving on the skin texture. So, I have high hopes for it.

I’m interested in the Vivid Azalea blush more than the others too. I wonder how unique it will be compared to other blush shades…. it looks like it’s made of a higher quality formula for sure
