Love the swatches of that Transforming Liner, but Iām not sure I understand the two-step process it involves. Canāt wait to see more. Those 24/7 liners could be fun, too.
Yikes, I just realized those TL swatches are backward on one arm. Seems like UD shouldāve caught that because itās confusing!
I just figured they did that because it adds visual interest and movement, having the middle one be opposite to the two bookends.
We all asked fo a new Electric and now we are getting it! I like it! However, I will likely just stick with my OG since I don’t use that one very often as it is. The liners are another story, though. Shock and High Voltage are 2 I’m looking forward to the most. Gravity Vice Lip Chemistry could be fun for summer!
I might try to snap up one of the neon eyeliners. I still regret not getting the pale beige one that sold out like THAT during their game of thrones collection. I really like the 24/7 formula.
UD has been gradually adopting a more gender inclusive/queer coded aesthetic and I really wish their Pride launch last year hadnāt been such a blantant ploy so that it all came off a little more sincere. The images are cute and the less polished but still really bright look of the makeup and styling feels refreshing and needed. Actually the look on the blonde model looks dead on like makeupbyslaterās work, I would be surprised if they didnāt use him as inspo for this. It would be cool if they hired him tbh.
I really miss being able to zoom in on the photos. Iād love to be able to look at certain swatches up close – even if theyāre just the Instagram versions.
I’m not sure what you mean? You just click any thumbnail to see the full size! You can still enlarge the mobile site if that’s what you want to do through your settings/zoom in.
I canāt do either since you changed the format slightly. Now when you try to click on a photo to enlarge it it automatically skips to the next photo. And you can enlarge every bit of the page except for the photos.
I zoomed in just outside the slideshow but was able to enlarge the photos fine!
Thatās so weird. I donāt know whatās wrong with my phone then.
I have an iPhone, so if you have Android, it might be different but I don’t have any Android devices to test on myself!
Yeah, I can’t zoom in anymore either. I tried different browsers, and device versus desktop.
I’m so happy to see this return to old UD. I wish the palette were permanent, though. I’ll happily get the palette and pencil liners. The transforming liners are pretty, but I have enough indie duochrome shadows that I can layer over my own black eyeliner.
How fun! The lavender liner and orange gloss are calling to me. I appreciate that they marked the non-eye-safe pigments, instead of burying that in the fine print.
Nope, nothing here really suits me, but I hope that all of the offerings are good for those who missed out on the Electric palette years ago.
The first UD Collection I have been intrigued about in months. Smart of them to clearly label the not-eye-safe colors. That plum gloss might be nice.
Hmm, I’m always up for some colourful things to play with. i just might have to take a closer look at a few of these beauties. I know I’ve said before that eyeliners are my downfall, I just can’t seem to resist them.
The palette: what I don’t already have in the Electric palette, I likely have dupes of from Sugarpill or otherwise.
The transforming liners: any layering, “color-shifting” product like this has seemed ridiculously overpriced since I bought sample baggies of duochrome micas from TKB Trading years ago that I will never, ever use up.
The pencils: I am always interested in more pencil eyeliners, which I don’t need, but want in every color!
The lip stains: Not my kinda formula I think, but I’m not mad at them.
Now that I think about it, this collection reminds me of the “neon” Baby Lips that Maybelline had…back when Baby Lips still existed and were popular.
Not sure I’ll buy anything from this release, but I do like what I see. Fun makeup, playful looks, gender inclusive, at least a lot more than I can remember seeing in a long time from the brands I follow, I have probably missed some.
I will make a more informed decision regarding buying something after having seen reviews, and I hope Christine will review this release. Last word on this FUN!
I hate to see them putting so much effort in to the lip chemistries. Cool concept, cool colors, but goddamn are they drying on the lips. Doesn’t seem possible since they have such a juicy look on application, but man…my lips are raw after a few hours. But the same goes for their sheer bullet lipsticks – feel creamy at first, but ultimately very drying. They’re just not my go-to for lip products.
well, they have my attention. iām interested in the pencil liners and possibly the palette. havenāt been into their releases for a while.
The liners look really nice, but it is a huge shame they aren’t permanent. UD could use a little spice in their perm range. I am glad that color is back, and neon colors in particular are welcome in my opinion.
I never wear bold colors anymore, but damn this collection is calling to me.
I hope Jolt performs better than Post Punk from the Basquiat collection. It’s a neat color in both collections’ promo shots and I still have a weird mix of disappointment in Post Punk’s color quality, and regret over not grabbing it when it went to clearance.
I already have and love the Electric palette. Wired is tempting, but 3 shades were carried over from Electric and Jolt looks similar to Thrash. Still, those purples are calling me…
This looks fun and like the UD I remember from the good old days. I’m excited to see how these products perform and will likely pick up a few liners and glosses. The palette isn’t very wearable for me, but I like how they took in consumer critiques to make it easier to know what is eye safe and what isn’t.
Eahgg…
Iām happy Electric 2.0 is here, but a full HALF of these shades could be considered identical dupes from the original. And the presentation is rough.
Despite my love of my Electric Palette I’m going to wait until reviews come out – I’m still feeling burned from Full Spectrum 2.0
My favorite shadows from electric were Savage, Chaos, and Urban. It’s kind of disappointing to see so many repeats but I hope gravity will be lovely – very excited for glitch too.
