Urban Decay Perversion All Night Eyeliner & Perversion Ink for Eyes Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Urban Decay Perversion Ink for Eyes
Urban Decay Perversion All Night Eyeliner ($20.00 for 0.01 oz.) is a glossier, deep dark black. See comparison swatches / view dupes. The consistency is creamy enough that it glides evenly and easily across the lash line or lid without tugging or dragging, and it delivers good color payoff in a single stroke. This shade wore well for eight and a half hours before starting to fade/thin.
Urban Decay Perversion Ink for Eyes ($20.00 for 0.02 fl. oz.) is a deep, dark, neutral black with a satiny finish. See comparison swatches / view dupes. It’s easy to maneuver, and you can easily create thin to medium lines depending on whether you use the very tip of the pen or hold it more horizontally for a wider line. The liquid flowed evenly out of the pen, and it never seemed to dry up or require shaking to restart the flow of the eyeliner–and the lines it left were richly pigmented and fully opaque. It dried down fairly quickly, set and stayed in place on me for ten hours. It also removed easily with cleansing oil (I used shu’s).

I was so excited for these reviews. UD 24/7 perversion liner is my holy grail but lately I’ve been feeling it’s not performing like I remember D; and was ready to branch out to another brand. But now..now T_T UD has given me more \o/. I can’t wait to buy these xD
LOL!
I love the blackness of that liquid liner, but I hate sponge-y top eyeliners. I prefer the brush felt tip like ones like the Physician’s Formula.
This is a felt-tip eyeliner! 🙂
Oh, wow. I still remember the days when the internet was all “Urban Decay Zero is the creamiest, blackest black you’ll ever find!”, so this is — I mean, we’ve come pretty far, haven’t we? I was never a fan of Zero, but I think I might have to check out (at least a few versions of!) Perversion.
Zero has its place, but it’s funny that it hasn’t completely been eclipsed, lol!
Zero was awful on me. The one time I wore it, I came back from class and it had smeared all over my eyes even though I didn’t touch them at all. The rest of UD’s liners are good on me though.
“These are all black, sir.”
“Oh, are they? Or are 2 dark black while 3 are a slightly darker black?”

“And now I’m short a slightly darker black one. Thanks duffel bag.”
All jokes aside, I order Ink for Eyes and the cream liner last week and I’m really looking forward to trying them now. Thanks Christine!
I imagine this is how all MAC employees think, lol 😉
Perversion ink reminds me of Lorac Front of Line Waterproof eyeliner! Must be the packaging. This looks good! 🙂
Yay!
I have to ask… How does the Ink for Eyes compare to the Tom Ford Defining Eyeliner Pen? The TF currently holds my heart, but the payoff of the UD one looks pretty incredible. Did you find the tip easy to maneuver over eyeshadow, between lashes, and in super thin lines/tightlining? I’d be interested to see how the tip holds up over time, as well, since I’ve found similar felt-tip liquid liners to dry out easily. I can’t wait to check these out myself! Thanks for the fabulous post as always!
TF is better, IMO. TF’s tip/applicator is more like a calligraphy pen! I can’t attest to the longevity of it… in terms of drying/not drying out, though!
The ink for eyes looks absolutely gorgeous. Not often a black eye liner girl but this one might snag me. So many black liners from UD all of a sudden!
It’s a lot, lol!
My current go-to liquid liner is Stila’s Stay All Day. How does UD’s Ink for Eyes pen compare to that one? Or are all these felt tip liners essentially the same?
Sorry, Thu, I don’t have that!
I have more than enough black eyeliners but I want that Ink for Eyes liner!
At least it’s permanent, so you can always try it when you finish one you already have!
Creamy you say? No tugging you say? Perfect! I hate subjecting the fragile skin on my eyelids to harsh eyeliner tugging, so the perfect eyeliner for me really needs to glllllllllide across the lid.
I think you’ll like it!
I swear, I’ve been checking Temptalia every 5 seconds for these reviews! 😀 It was only with great fortitude that I resisted throwing all my money at UD when they announced these new eyeliners!! But NO. I needed to wait for my Trusty Temptalia Review before I committed 😀
I’m so happy these turned out well! I’m definitely keen to get the liquid liner – I love felt tip liquid liners, and even my apparently bottomless Lancome one is nearing its end. So I even have an excuse!
Awwwww <3 <3
Lol! I was waiting for the same too!!! Now I know I can buy with peace of mind knowing there are good 😉
I love felt tips!!! I just ordered the whole new black pencils that came out and the cream liner with pencil liner brush..
Can’t wait to hear your thoughts, Tangie!
Christine, how does the All Night eyeliner compare with 24/7? Is it worth the purchase if I already have Zero and Perversion in the 24/7 formula? I’ve never found the 24/7 formula to wear the best on my waterline – cream/gel liners last longer by far.
It’s easier to apply on the water line, but they wear about the same on me, though Perversion wears fairly well on my waterline.
How does it compare to Make up forever aqua ink liner? Thanks!
Different liquid formulas 🙂
These look so tempting. My HG has been the Stilla Stay all day. Haven’t found anything yet that performs better than that…sooo why do I even want to try this…Idk. I clearly have a problem. lol
If you have an HG, I’d at least wait until you finished your current ;P
I really love UD liners and when I get the chance I need to get it in perversion. Liquid liner is typically easier for me so I might need the liquid now!! I mean hello easy black cat liner.:)
Let me know what you think if you try!
The only reason why I never tried the 24/7 eye pencils was the need to sharpen, so I’m excited to try the all nighter eyeliner 🙂
Yay!
That looks like a great liquid liner!
It’s very nice!
So excited for these! UD makes some of the best eyeliners.
What’s your favorite eyeliner formula from them, Nikki?
WOW, I need both!
Uh oh!
Can we have a picture of all of the perversion products on the eyes? And maybe with the liquid|gel|cream a wing? I don’t know about anybody else but how an eyeliner wings out is very important to me.
Thanks for the suggestion!
i’m (almost) ashamed to admit i bought all of these new liners… i love them. i’m always between bobbi brown black liners or UD black liners for favorites..
UD does great eyeliners, though! No shame 🙂
Both are amazing! A rocker girl can never have too much black eyeliner
Haha, very true!
Hi Christine! Thanks for the review. I wish the All Nighter was completely matte. I love liquid liners go on, but they are usually glossy and I don’t like that aspect. I’ve used Perversion pencil almost daily for a few years now and when I saw they were making a twist up eyeliner, I was hoping it would be matte. I like the looks of Black Velvet but again, it’s a pencil that needs sharpening…
Yeah, All Nighter definitely seems shinier to me than Perversion 🙁
Hi Christine! I’m so happy that you reviewed the new eyeliners for UD because I am in need of a new black e/l. I’m not a big fan of the 24/7 eye pencils only because they transfer so easily under my eyes and in the outer corner 🙁 do you think perversion all-nighter would work for me or can you make any recommendations? Thanks!!
I worry that if the regular 24/7 formula just doesn’t work for you that this isn’t going to do a lot better. They don’t feel the same, but I’m sure they have more in common than not since it’s by the same brand 🙁
Have you tried MUFE?
darn 🙁 are you talking about Aqua Eyes? I haven’t…maybe the Matte Black might work? =/
Yup, the Aqua Eyes Pencil Eyeliners!
