Urban Decay Moonspoon Moondust Eyeshadow
Urban Decay Moonspoon Moondust Eyeshadow ($20.00 for 0.05 oz.) is described as a “medium gray with bright silver sparkle.” It is a warm gray base color with brighter silver sparkle. MAC Double Feature 2 #2 is satiny but similar in darkness. Inglot #444 is warmer, no sparkle.
It was rather sheer when applied dry, and it was more pigmented when applied damp but only managed to get to semi-opaque color–it was amplified by a lot of sparkle and shimmer but the base color stayed rather subtle. Moonspoon wasn’t as smooth as the other shades; there was a touch of grittiness to the larger particles of sparkle. It did not apply as smoothly or as evenly, and it was harder to blend it out when I tried using it on the lid. It seemed to stick in places. This shade lasted for eight hours without creasing, but it did seem a bit patchy, and of course, there was fall out during application but continued fall out throughout the day. For a comparison to their Stardust eyeshadows, please read this review.

I have Inglot 444 (and MAC Smoke&Diamonds and Stila Diamond Lil – all 3 are basically identical) so have no need to wrestle with fallout, grittiness and sheerness of this one. Christine, thanks so much for your detailed reviews of these shadows. Without them, I would probably have bought a few of these and been sorely disappointed. I think I might still go for Zodiac but at least I know what I’m getting into.
Zodiac and Stargazer were the best ones, IMO!
Too bad this one isn’t that great, because I was pleasantly surprised by the color.
Ok, I think I’m just not a fan of these Moonspoon shadows
Ooohhh this would look so pretty as a pop of glitter used damp in the center of the lid with a dark smokey eye! I may have to try it,ty
