Vice3 Eyeshadow Palette ($60.00) (Limited Edition)

Vices are all consuming, insatiably addictive and always leave us wanting MORE! Something tells us we’re not the only ones who feel that way—especially when it comes to our palettes. Enough with the “will they or won’t they?” speculation; Urban Decay launches Vice3. Satisfy your eyeshadow cravings with 20 velvety, NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN shades—from an amazing soft black and a stunning burgundy to a rich, smoky red-black. Even MORE covetable than our previous Vice palettes, the mesmerizing, jewel-inlaid case includes a huge mirror and a double-ended brush. The perfect finishing touch? A gorgeous matching bag. (See, we thought of everything!)

Wende LOVES the Vice palettes—from developing 20 all-new shades to brainstorming design concepts. With Vice3, she wanted to create a beautiful, functional component even sleeker than our previous Vice palettes. It’s the perfect go-to palette you’ll want to use all the time! Every shade has a metallic finish that echoes the iced-out metallic look of the palette itself (more on that in a minute). Where we really geeked out was developing 50 shades to get to the perfect 20 in the perfect order. You wouldn’t believe how many iterations we went through to make sure that the shade layout really communicated the whole story. We arranged the shades in columns: neutrals on the left, jewel tones in the middle and smoky shades on the right. Pair up the vertically color-coordinated quads or go wild and mix them up.

Once again, awesome swatches Christine. I don’t own any of the past Vice palettes and strongly considering it, so far I like it, can’t wait for your review, but I’m not feeling the 10 set pencil palette, too much dark colors for my colorful taste

As much as I love UD and their sets, will there ever be a time I can purchase one of their sets without having it contain YET ANOTHER Zero or Perversion like really UD most of your customers probably already own like 5 of them.

Also I know there are ppl out there who probably like having extras but personally I am not one of them, it takes me ages because I rarely wear black pencil liner.

Sarah Avatar

Slightly off topic maybe, but I really wish UD would just develop a nice MAC 217-ish brush to put in their palettes. These double-ended brushes are just meh. 😛

I wasn’t expecting to be in such desire of this! But I am and will be sticking up! LOL! I did see this, leaked, yet the swatches are so welcome, at last I know! Thanks for the time searching and releasing this information, Christine! It’s helpful to put a real shopping cart together and manage money by being certain what my plans are. I hope you’ll show off looks from this! I am also hoping to see the other aura reviewed! How do you feel the slimmer container affect this? Oh, sorry, I thought I was commenting on the vice 3 palette but I am in total UD land, my apologies. I can’t imagine there being too many more large palettes to review.. My gosh, you weren’t kidding! May it all get done less stress. YAY! Vice 3! Perfect!

I am really disappointed, every time Urban decay releases eyeliner sets they always include Perversion or Zero, or in this case both. I have about 6 of each… I don’t wear enough black eyeliner and I feel like they could have made better choices. The Vice 3 looks interesting… I am partial to the one and two though. Thanks for the info!

In the Vice 3, that forth vertical row…. it’s what I’ve been dreaming of finding in a palette! I’m still not completely sold quite yet. I’m going to need to see these colors swatched! And even though I don’t often reach for an eye pencil, that 10 pencil set looks tres interesting!

Thank you so much for this blog! I am a huge UD fan and I have been so excited to see how it looks. I am so glad they are doing vice3. I passed on the first one, I have the second, but I found the colors are pretty in their own right, but they are kind of hard to put together. This palette looks like they can be paired/grouped well, but still has the classic Urban Decay “bold” colors that I love. I can’t wait to get my hands on this.

Must get the shadows. I have the vault of lenders and don’t feel the colors I would use are that different from what I have. I reserve the option to change my mind though. Can’t wait.
