Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil: Demolition, Perversion, Woodstock

Urban Decay will be adding three previously limited edition shades of 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencils ($19.00 for 0.04 oz.): Demolition (matte deepest darkest brown), Perversion (matte blackest carbon black), and Woodstock (bright fuchsia pink with silver micro glitter). I’m sure fans of the formula will be more than pleased to see such an ultra rich (and coveted) black made available year-round. No need to go easy any more!

  • Demolition is a dark brown with subtle amber warmth around the edges. This is a new and exclusive shade. Try CoverGirl Brown as a possible dupe.
  • Perversion is a really deep, dark black with a matte finish. It’s very creamy (more so than the majority of the 24/7 Pencils) but still works well.
  • Woodstock is a fuchsia-red pink with a satiny sheen and silver sparkle. The pigmentation was decent but not fully opaque in a single pass. It is buildable (see the larger swatch).

I’ve reviewed Urban Decay’s eyeliner formula many times in the past, including this past holiday season as they launched two holiday sets of pencils (which is where you’ll find all three of these). The all-day wear from these eyeliners is the obvious selling point, but I also really like the range of colors and that they’re just creamy enough to glide across the lash line without tugging but not so creamy that they smudge.  Both Demolition and Perversion apply like a dream, while Woodstock is sheerer than your average Urban Decay liner.

Which is your favorite?

SO excited about Perversion. I got a travel-size one in my Electric set that released this Holiday season, and I was dreading running out. It’s one of the only liners that lasts almost all day at work. My job is a bit physically demanding, and I do quite a bit of running, walking, bending, and lifting. Perversion lasts even throughout all the sweating XD

How do Perversion and Demolition perform on the waterline? With many of their 24/7 pencils I can’t get them to show up there. Thanks for the review 🙂

Hey Christine what do/would you use Woodstock for?

On my water line it makes me look really sickly, as a colourbase on my eyelid it makes pinks and pinky-purple colours pop, but it’s definitely not something I reach for often since I go it back in November in the electric set.

just going by the swatch here and comparing with Whiskey, which I have, I’d say Whiskey is more red toned which is why I like Demolition (but will stick with GOSH’s Truly Brown).

I’m happy that they are making Demolition permanent, though I was really hoping for Whiskey. I even emailed them to tell them so! Judging from the comments and likes on your fb page, I would think that they should make this happen!

There’s something so cool about Woodstock as an eyeliner. Demolition is the only one I don’t have in the travel size and I’m really looking forward to trying the full size version. Thanks for the review!

Woodstock is gorgeous ♥ I like Demolition too. Wish there were more colors 🙁 and hopefully they’ll extend the range of colors soon.

I’m excited that Demolition is coming to the permanent lineup! Bourbon sometimes has too much sparkle for me, so I’d been hoping for Corrupt (from the anniversary set) or Whiskey would come to the singles. I’ll take Demolition.

Too bad Woodstock is sheerer than the others and seems like layering doesn’t really fix this issue. It’s a pretty cool color though.

Can’t tell you how happy I am to hear about perversion!! I even wrote to UD begging them to make it permanent. WOO! But yikes…$19. Weren’t they like $17 not too long ago?

Leigh Avatar

Maybe this will put the people that say UD doesn’t listen to what people want (because of glittery shades or shades reoccurring in a lot of palettes)to rest! We’ve been asking for perversion for what seems like forever. I can’t wait. 🙂

Reeny Avatar

UD will make me the happiest person ever if they make Stray Dog permanent now 😀 I have 2 Perversions (teehee) so looking forward to getting more! I’ve never tried the other two so maybe now I will!

Maya Avatar

I feel like the only one upset that Whiskey didn’t become permanent lol. Demolition looks good though for a nice brown with no sparkles. I am pissed that UD raised their prices on these eyeliners again (and so quickly after their last price increase!) – with so many other amazing eyeliners on the market, I don’t think that was a good move

Meghann Avatar

I am so glad that UD has made perversion permanent. Zero is nice but it appears that perversion is darker. Maybe MAC will take notes and make Feline permanent, too. They know beauty consumers love a nice blacker than black eye pencil. So make it perm.

Jess Avatar

YES! I am so happy they made these colors permanent, I got Perversion and woodstock with the electric set and ended up ordering another one since I was afraid Perversion would not be made permanent >.> but now I have nothing to worry about I guess

Mariella Avatar

UD pencils smudge like mad on me…I’ve tried to like them but they just don’t work for me at all. Oddly enough, the shadow pencils work much better but for lining, I much prefer GOSH, Lise Watier (awesome Canadian product) or MUFE pencils. My fave of these 3 would have to be Demolition but GOSH Truly Brown is probably identical, doesn’t smudge and is a LOT less expensive.

Violet Avatar

So glad Woodstock and Demolition won’t be in just a travel size. I wish they’d release Corrupt, Whiskey, Uzi, Junkie, Radium, Asphyxia, and Stray Dog separately now….

Rosie Avatar

Perversion is the best! I’ve been using the one I got in the 15 anniversary kit sparingly but now I can use it all the time and retire Zero!

angela Avatar

so glad about this. i really love the brown color which i bought in a naked eye pencil collection and could definitly use a blacker eyeliner than zero. thanks for the info!!!

Jenn Avatar

Hi Christine!

I can’t decide between UD’s Demolition or MAC’s Teddy Kohl Liner. How are they similar and which would you choose?

Thanks for the review!

Don’t complain about the price you guys! Here in Aus I can’t even find UD and I love their eye pencils. If we could buy them here they would cost $45-50 each. Bad luck I can’t afford to fly OS more often so I can purchase!
