Grabbed all the Whish holiday sets and stocking stuffers, plus a full-size lavender body butter for gifts to myself and my mom. Also got a peppermint vanilla lotion by C. Booth, and Nubian Heritage patchouli and buriti lotion and body wash. I’m thinking about making another order and getting a Foreo Luna mini, too. But Ulta should come out with another 20% coupon good on prestige stuff before the end of the year, I think (or at least, they usually do), so I might wait on that.
Very nice, Lauren!! 🙂
I’ve been waiting for a sale to repurchase my favorite mascara, Lancôme Grandiôse… not this time! I’m not sure what to do, get some stuff from Sephora to reach VIB status before the sale and grab the mascara plus a few other things on sale, or make an Ulta purchase today. Oh the life of a beauty addict is hard, lol!
I don’t know how far you are away from VIB, so I’d take that into consideration and then think about how much you’d spend vs. how much you’d save by doing so – kind of look at what you need from Ulta vs. Sephora. Ulta at least you get points towards $ off…
Smart of them to preempt the Sephora sale a bit! Time to stock up on some of my hair and drugstore-brand products, plus maybe a couple of things from IT Cosmetics, Urban Decay, Smashbox, Stila…
I’m totally dying to know if they planned it all along – as in “We know Sephora will do their sale in November, so we’ll plan to do a one day only 20% off before…” and just waited until the dates were leaked (and my guess is Ulta knew awhile ago!) or did they just decide yesterday, LOL.
I suspect it was well-planned! ULTA’s web site is so clunky, and I don’t care for the store on Walnut St. in Philly, but my local ULTA (close enough to walk, if I don’t have to pick up a bunch of groceries at the Target next door) in Springfield is so nice. The people are friendly and helpful, it’s always clean and well-organized. I’m so glad it’s there, so I do like to support it. This coupon is online-only, though!
Of course I didn’t look early enough…it’s 5p and I have to go to work and get home at 11. Haven’t even looked at email yet…Guess I have at least an hour to get it together. Well, I did well and free at the farmer’s market. Know a few things I’ll snag…
Ulta usually runs their promos on CST, in case that helps… or hinders!
This, as much as I would look forward to this and everything, is slightly irritating to me. Why? I use Dermalogica for my skin-care and was looking forward into grabbing somethings to try and replenish on but alas, that fine print exclusion was no..no no. I figured maybe I could grab 1 or 2 of the Clinique pop blushes as I like the Ulta’s reward program better and once again fine print was no, no no.
Sometimes you get lucky and the 20% really will be off of everything with no exclusion and sometimes, it will be a select few. That was my annoyance with it when I plugged in the code to see some of the items not being on sale. Double-checking the email and voila fine print. AAAHHHHHHH okay. There’s still somethings I can get but the bulk of my list cannot be achieved via sale. Ah life. First-world problems indeed.
Even with the rumors that it was today, I was still totally unprepared lol. I was waiting for the 20% coupon so I could cash in all my points. It was oddly stressful creating the perfect shopping cart of things to get the best deal after coupon + points. Thank goodness it’s a weekend because it took waaay longer than I wanted. Ah, the life of a beauty addict haha.
What great timing! I have over 4000 points to use. That plus the 20% off I just got $400 worth of stuff for $65. Woo hoo!! Stocked up on some skin care and a couple of eyeshadow palettes.
Please teach me how to get 4000 points at Ulta! I shop almost every week & I’ve got 74 points ?
I am just totally envious – I am turning green……….
The two things I wanted to get were the Modern Renaissance palette and Tarte’s shape tape, but they were both out of stock…?
Ulta is stingy w/coupons-one day only & can’t be used on prestige or fragrance. Even the weekly coupons aren’t very generous. One of the many reasons I can’t get to platinum level. I try to get all of my drugstore items there, since I have 2 Ultas within 10 minutes from me. It’s a 30 minute drive to Sephora, but at least Sephora gives discounts on everything & 4 days to use it! I’m looking forward to using the VIBROUGE coupon this week! I take full advantage of the discount-especially since it’s only 2-3 times a year! It lets me stock up on my regular items, but I also try a lot of new things too! I hope Ulta gets competitive. I would enjoy being platinum & getting those $$ off rewards?
I got some cushion foundation- philosophy take a deep breath in shade 3, Too Faced Love Flush Blush in How Deep Is Your Love, Maybelline Full & Soft Mascara, and some Mr. Bubble body spritz and lip balm. I’m looking forward to the VIB ROUGE sale, but I know the things I’m currently most interested will still be out of stock- the Mind Games Lip Glides and the Huda eyeshadow pallette.
