Touch in Sol Metallist Sparkling Foiled Eyeshadows ($18.00 for 0.04 oz.) aren’t a new product, but I picked them up a month or two ago and wanted to get swatches up before Sephora’s Beauty Insider event was over… so, here are swatches!

Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Hi Christine,
Just curious – when you show two swatches for an eyeshadow, do they show the results of a (left) wet vs (right) dry application, a brush (l) vs finger (r), or something else? Thanks!

It can depend on the specific product or type of formula, but there is a Review FAQ, which is linked in the footer on every page, that also gives more general information: https://www.temptalia.com/review-faq/#swatches

These deviate, which is notated (and is always notated if it deviates from how swatches are generally done!) in the caption (if you view each shade individually, all of the photos are shown – this is a sneak peek, as in this is just a preview and much of the normal photos/swatches included in the review are not shown yet) – they are applied with a fingertip and with a brush, per the brand’s instructions.

I never knew that (ashamed long term reader over here). Everything on the site blends so seamlessly, which is a good thing, that unless you were trying to find that information (now I know so I will) you wouldn’t notice it. Perhaps there is a way to make the “Review FAQ” stand out a bit more? I had to do ctrl+f and search for FAQ to find it after you mentioned there was one. I rarely look at the very bottom of a page unless I need a way to contact a company. Maybe it could also be included on the drop down under the FAQ menu (in a matching pink to the main links or another standout shade vs the black which blends in)? I know these changes are up to the developer and just because they are made doesn’t mean that everyone will pay attention, but might be something to think about.

Regardless, these are really pretty shadows.

Hi Lauren,

Most websites seem to put links to FAQs in their footers, so that’s what we have done! Like if you want to know about the site (founders, mission statements, that kind of thing), contact us, access privacy policies, and any other documentation, it’s all in the footer, which seems to where all the details/fine print kind of things go.

I’m not sure what you mean by a drop down under the FAQ menu since it’s a single page – could you clarify?

Lauren Avatar

When you hover over the menu, I didn’t know if it could be added to that (like how there is a link that says “or view popular products”). I definitely get why FAQ was put in the footer and that makes sense!

Holo Mulberry looks pretty. It reminds me of those dark plum based shades that have an “oil slick” type shift, except it appears to be missing the greenish shift that you see often in that kind of shade. I think it’s unique, I like it! Cream Peach also looks very nice and sparkly.

I love the Honey Brown shade as well as the Golden Tangerine. It’s a shame that the Taupe shades doesn’t seem as good as the rest. But these are all lovely. I’ve not heard of the brand before, so it’s good to see some new ones coming to our notice. Thank you Christine.

Thank you! I have had this one on my Loves list for a long time and recently added Holo Mulberry although I know I already have a million dupes or close dupes. I now know to add Sun Aurora to my next buy.

These are really quite pretty in person and swatches viewed on a computer can’t come close to doing them justice. Sun Aurora is basically MAC’s Old Gold on effing crack for anyone interested. They’re positively gorgeous.

As soon as I saw these featured on this website (bedtime last night), I started searching the internet for a shop that ships them to Europe but until now, no luck. I’d anyone knows how to get these in the Old World, please let me know!
