Your skin tone/coloring: light to medium with warm/yellow undertones, MAC NC 23 ish, hazel eyes, brown and blonde hair
Favorite look from the week:
I’ve been experimenting with transition colors (using MAC Sculpt, any bronzer or MAC Swiss Chocolate) and a bare lid, bronzer, highlight and MAC Peachykeen blush and then a red or coral matte lipstick with Pat McGrath Blitztrance Blood Rush over top. I buff and blend and pat and add more here and there to get my application fix but lately I am really liking a clean or subdued eye and a corally red or red lip.
Your most used product this week:
Other than my staples, PMG Blitztrance Blood Rush
Any beauty discoveries (new or old):
PMG newly released Blitztrance lipsticks and Lust glosses – I am enjoying and frankly relieved to be able to use my neglected mattes or any other colors I’ve abandoned by combining with the Blitztrance or Lust glosses. I don’t care for frosted or metallic lips or any formulation of glosses, but I love the formula, texture and finish of the Blitztrance lipsticks as well as the Lust glosses I’ve picked up. Not anything new or groundbreaking, I’ve just been having fun mixing and matching and bonus, I am using up forgotten lipsticks.
Smith & Cult Veiled Threat foundation – am very pleased to have picked this up. This is a new favorite and I will re-purchase.
Smith & Cult nail polishes – I own 10 now and all are one-coaters and wear beautifully (for me, that means no chipping for the first 4 days and retains shine for 3-5 days). Depending on my work load, I usually show wear or chipping after 2 days but, even with a normal to heavy work load, I have still been able to get a week’s worth of wear out of most of these with minimal if any signs of fading/wear or chipping at the edges. I am impressed! Full disclosure, I apply 2 layers of top coat for my manicures; even with that, I have polishes from other mainstream brands that chip/show wear after 2 days.
Your skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones
Favourite look from the week: I used the Lorac Pro Metals palette – Rose Gold all over the lid, Clover on the lower lid and Graphite in the crease. I paired it with MAC’s Fresh Moroccan.
Your most used product this week: All my staples, I used a different eye palette every day.
Any beauty discoveries (new or old): I pulled out my Huda Beauty Smokey Obsessions this week and it was a joy to use.
Your skin tone/coloring: Under my name; magenta/red hair; hazel/green eyes.
Favorite look from the week: EYES — UDPP in Enigma. Huda Neon Orange Obsessions Palette: #1 (inner 1/3 of crease), #7 (middle 1/3 of crease), #3 (outer 1/3 of crease, swept around and under lower lid), #2 (mobile lid), and #9 mixed with KVD Metal Crush in Electric Warrior (inner corner). KVD Metal Crush in Thrasher (lightly on brow bone). UD 24/7 Eye Pencil in Overdrive (lower waterline) and Perversion (upper waterline). Eye Booster Lash 2-in-1 Boosting Eyeliner & Serum (upper lash line). Medusa’s Makeup Witch Lash Mascara. LIPS — Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in Shocking Coral. CHEEKS — Milani Rose Powder Blush in Coral Cove and e.l.f. Blush in Gotta Glow (HL). FACE — E.l.f. Hydrating Fade Primer; BH Cosmetics Naturally Flawless Foundation in Ivory; RCMA No Color Powder; Sephora Collection Tranquil (contour), e.l.f. Gotta Glow , and Apocalyptic Beauty Badass Setting Spray.
Your most used product this week: My dailies
Any beauty discoveries (new or old): I got a couple Nomad palettes on their BOGO 1/2 off sale (still going on through tomorrow, I believe). I got the Berlin Underground and Tokyo Harajuku Palettes. I haven’t tried them before, but a friend got Harajuku, and her swatches and eye looks were really pretty. Costumer service and packing for shipment were great. I probably won’t get to use them till after my vacation, though.
Your skin tone/coloring: fair/cool skin (foundation matches: Fenty Pro Filt’r 110, Urban Decay All Nighter 2.5, NARS Natural Radiant Longwear 2.0 Mont Blanc, Kevyn Aucoin The Etherealist Light EF 02, L’Oreal True Match C3 Creamy Natural), gray eyes, brown hair with red highlights and scattered blonde/blue strands
Favorite look from the week: For the holiday Thursday I went for a patriotic look with red eyeshadow, blue mascara, and firework lips-Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin Ivory concealer, Fenty Amber Match Stick as cheek contour, Fenty Pro Filt’r 110 foundation, Tarte Amazonian Clay Paaarty blush, Sephora Vampire Lovers eyeshadow, CoverGirlxKaty Perry Katy Kat Eye Perry Blue mascara, and Marc Jacobs Enamored Ch-Ch-Changes lip gloss. No, I didn’t miss the white in “red, white, and blue”-my skin’s pale enough to cover that!
Your most used product this week: Besides my usual base products, Perry Blue mascara.
Any beauty discoveries (new or old): During my Sephora haul yesterday, I swatched Tarte’s Dollface and Natural Beauty blushes and Park Avenue Princess bronzer on my arm. All 3 swatches worked well with my skintone-Natural Beauty looks really red in the compact, but blended out to a nice shimmery fuchsia on me. Also, things in my life have been crazy enough that I’ve had to do my makeup on the go more often than usual, and it turns out I’m really good at it!
Your skin tone/coloring: above, with freckles, green/gray/blue eyes, warm brown hair.
Favorite look from the week: You know, I usually post my make up looks on Insta for posterity, but I didn’t do that last week, so… I don’t really remember what my favorite look was!
Your most used product this week: Any of my Natasha Denona products. I’m on a ND kick bordering on addiction.
Any beauty discoveries… None to speak of! It was a pretty chill week.
