Too Faced Sweetie Pie Radiant Matte Bronzer Review, Photos, Swatches
Sweetie Pie
Too Faced Sweetie Pie Sweetie Pie Radiant Matte Bronzer ($30.00 for 0.47 oz.) is a soft, medium brown with warmer undertones that were slightly rosy overall. There was an overspray, which would result in a more golden, shimmery finish initially, so I tried to remove using a brush but still found a lot of it leftover, so I used a paper towel and tried to rub away several layers of product for swatches and application swatches. Despite that, though, there still seemed to be a bit of pearl that gave it a more semi-matte to satin finish.
The bronzer is supposed to be a “radiance-boosting” powder with “blendable, intense color payoff” for “universal warmth.” It had excellent pigmentation with a soft, slightly dusty texture that was very blendable and easy to work with on the skin, but it was prone to sheering out a bit so the functional color payoff was more semi-opaque and buildable. The color ran lighter, so I would not expect this to work as a bronzer on medium-tan and deeper skin tones. The bronzer lasted for eight hours on me before fading slightly. It had a sweet, peachy scent but it did not linger noticeably on my face.

What a gorgeous bronzer! I kind of love the overlay even though it’s not something I would normally gravitate towards!!
If only it went all the way through!
Very cute, but I have not had much success with this brands’ eye and face products.
Definitely skip – don’t think the formula is going to be that different than their other powders for you!
I know the product isn’t exactly as described with the gold overlay, but it looks very nice on you.
Thank you, Pia!
It looks so great on you, Christine! I tried it in my local sephora — we have similar skintones (NC20-25 ish depending on the season, warm tones) and it honestly barely showed up on me! Perhaps there was an overlay or hard pan on it. Do you feel like it’s a bronzer than can easily hit hard pan?
No, it didn’t seem like it would be any more or less prone to hardening over time than the average powder to me!
The embossing is SO supercute, but my skin can’t take fragrance, and I can’t stand the peach smell either 🙁
I wish they weren’t scented 🙁 I have such a headache from Bitter Lace Beauty’s fragranced highlighters right now that I’m in a particularly shoddy mood about fragranced makeup right now!!
Oh no!!! I have their Prism Rainbow one, ordered this year, and it has no fragrance, but after your comment, I just noticed some of their other highlighters do. Yikes!
It’s not a shade I could use, it’s one of the few practical makeups I’ve seen with this level of embossing detail on it years.
It’s rare toe see this type of mix coloured powders like this that are not stiff/sheer on the skin to get these embossed pan effects.
The detail of it was great, and as far as I could tell, the braided design will go through (just the gold bits seemed to be an overspray).
I like the colour of this!!! It’s pretty!
Happy to hear it, Shannon!
Very nice finish on this one! But for me, this could only work in the dead of winter. Otherwise it may prove a bit too light, but who knows. Sometimes, that can be more difficult to gauge. Oh, and now I am craving pie!!!
Yeah, it is on the lighter end of bronzers!
WHY?! Why would you put a metallic gold overspray on something specifically marketed as a matte bronzer?
That’s what I wanted to know 🙁
It looks prettier in camera shots to sell the product is my guess. Looks also more eye catching in the store..but yeah..if it is a matte…it’s a bit confusing. Not a fan of this really.
I think this looks really pretty!!
It does!
I’m really liking several products in this collection. Think I’ll add this to my list of items to pick up.
I think this is really pretty but I rarely use a bronzer as so many of them are either way too pigmented, turn orange or are patchy on my very fair skin tone. I am about NW5-10 in dead of summer so hard to find anything that I like. I have seen this used on YT videos and it does appear to be a lovely bronzer.
That’s really pretty too – so many great products at the moment.
I am nc25 foundation now.. do you think this bronzer would be to light for me.. I really wanted to order it.. but have been having doubts after seeing some of the reviews. .
Hey Christine, this bronzer looks just perfect on you! I bought it just yesterday, I was wondering, if you could tell me what kind of brush works best with it? To get the best pay off?
I just used a regular blush brush!
Oversprays on makeup products are like dating a new guy who cleans his place before you show up: false advertising to sucker you in and then fade away. ? Not a fan! I also second that it doesn’t make sense for a matte product. I do like the pie design though.
I can’t tell if it would work for me.
Hi Christine, could you comment on how this compares to the original Pink Leopard bronzer Too Faced used to have. I loved that bronzer, but the newer Pink Leopard formula isn’t pink. I don’t live near a store where I can swatch this and wanted to know what you thought before ordering it. It seems to look very similar, but hard to tell without seeing it in person. Thank you.
Sorry, I don’t know if I ever had that (it doesn’t ring a bell), and I definitely don’t have it now!
Thank you for answering back. It actually looks like (from recent youtube videos) Too Faced might have returned Pink Leopard back to its original formula. It’s really pretty; I had used it as blush, bronzer, highlight and eyeshadow all in one. Which is why it’s one of the few things I’ve hit pan on. I do hope Too Faced has brought it back; I could never find a dupe to replace it.
