Too Faced Sun Bunny Radiant Bronzer Duo Review & Swatches

Sun Bunny
Too Faced Sun Bunny Radiant Duo Tone Bronzer ($30.00 for 0.28 oz.) is a new, updated version of the brand’s long-time favorite bronzing duo. I don’t know if I’ve properly owned it as a standalone product but have seen it in many palettes over the years… I actually feel like the new packaging is a massive upgrade–sleek, keeps with the brand’s aesthetic, and is functional. Per the brand, both shades are “buildable for a customized glow” for a “luminous, sun-kissed finish.”

Sun Bunny (Left)
Sun Bunny (Left) is a soft, peachy orange with warm undertones and a satin finish. It had semi-sheer coverage with a slightly powdery, though very finely-milled, texture. The pigmentation was buildable to mostly opaque coverage with two to three layers, and the finish became more luminous as I buffed and blended the powder on my skin. It wore well for eight hours on me before fading.

Sun Bunny (Right)
Sun Bunny (Right) is a medium, golden bronze with warm, orange undertones and a frosted sheen. The pigmentation was opaque in a single layer (not buildable), though the texture was soft and yielding enough that it could be applied with a lighter hand for sheerer coverage if preferred. It had a pearly sheen on the skin that could be intensified to a more metallic finish if applied damp or with a second layer of product on top. The powder was smooth, soft without being too powdery, and blendable on my skin. This shade stayed on well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

I like the new packaging a lot. The darker shade wouldn’t work on me, so I’ve never bought the duo either.
Since I usually go for red based bronzer as opposed to anything orange based, I’ve never tried this duo. Yet, I really do like how it doesn’t have that OTT cheeto orange effect at all!
The really like this packaging, but I tend not to like shimmery, glowy bronzers as much as I do matte ones. I’m LOVING the new Anastasia bronzers, so I think I’m set for bronzers for the summer 🙂
