Too Faced Pin Point Mascara Review

Too Faced Pin Point Mascara ($19.50) is just not a mascara that works with my sparse, all-willy-nilly lashes.

Claim: An extreme defining, volumizing, and lengthening mascara.

Results:  Slightly longer, thicker lashes–but that’s about it.  It’s not a dramatic difference between my natural lashes and with mascara.  When I think “extreme,” I’m definitely thinking about getting close to false lashes status.  I think if you have a lot of lashes, this might work better for you than it did for me.  With sparser lashes, the mascara has to work pretty hard to get fabulous lashes, IMO.  I didn’t experience any smudging or flaking throughout the day, which is always a plus.  I doubt I’ll be reaching for this mascara in the future, because I have several that give my lashes better results.

Anyone else tried Pin Point? Thoughts?

Bare lashes…

Mascara-free lashes for comparison!

Very disappointing mascara! There is barely any difference between your natural lashes and with mascara! Thanks for the review: I’m not going to buy this one!

How dissapointing! I have the original Too Faced Lash Injection mascara, and after all the raving reviews and the SA’s promises, I was quite dissapointed with the forumla/consistency, etc. However, as you said, there is NO smudging or flaking during the day, but the downside of that is it takes me up to 10mins to take the damn stuff off!

Wow, Pinpoint is my new HG mascara! I absolutely love it, I find it really really lengthening for me. Not really a volumous mascara, but I go for length any day. I’ll be buying this over and over. I love the thin wand too, I tend to bump my lids with thicker brushes, this allows me to try different application techniques and it’s perfect every time. I adore this stuff!

Since you have sparse lashes, you should try the regular lash injection. I don’t have many lashes either, but lash injection works like a charm. It makes my lashline look full. My old friends were asking me if i had fake eyelashes on! Oh, and if you like other Too Faced stuff, I suggest using their promo code TFFriends to get 25% off!!! Love it!!!

I like the regular lash injection mascara much better than pinpoint. They’re supposed to be the same formula, just different brushes, but I guess the brush really makes all the difference! A lot of people with sparse lashes tend to love the pinpoint, though. They say it gives them so much length.

I just bought some thinking I’d like it. It was OK. Same as in the picture. I like the tube type mascaras because they don’t flake. I really love Trish McEvoy’s High Volume Mascara. When I want a bit more in terms of thickness/night look I add the Mac primer and that seens to work just fine. I’ve also tried the new L’Oreal tube mascara and I thought the results there were even less the pin point.
