The Spring Season:  Korres #25 Natural Purple Gloss

Korres #25 Natural Purple Cherry Gloss ($17.00) is a deceivingly named gloss, because it’s not even near purple, but rather it’s a played down pink with a little bit of peachiness to it. It’s a very wearable shade that can be worn everyday, alone, or matched with a more dramatic eye. Korres Cherry Gloss is non-sticky and feels good on lips while you’re wearing them, and they all have a very glossy finish. Natural Purple is pretty opaque and has a creamy look to it — no shimmer. It has a faint scent of cherry that doesn’t really linger once it’s applied. You can see my original review, plus reviews of the other two shades here.

Is this the perfect glossy shade for you? Would you wear it?

The Spring Season is a series of posts featuring my favorite soft beige, coral, and pink lipsticks and lipglosses — all perfect for the first blossom of spring — that runs through March 2010.

Pretty, but a little plain for my taste, I must admit. I do love the Korres glosses though. I only have two, but one of them is really my *perfect* everyday gloss that I’m obsessed with. You really, really ought to try #22 Naked Rose, Christine. It’s right up your alley – a rich pink with gorgeous gold shimmer laced through it. It would be good for The Spring Season!

Hehe, well, you haven’t reviewed it, so I figured I should mention it. I know when I bought it I was like “Darn that Christine, getting me hooked on these colors [pinks and/or corals with gold]!”

Beautiful color, but I can’t find it listed on the Sephora page you linked to! (I don’t think it’s out of stock, since Sephora normally lists those items but notes that they are OOS.)

Temptalia, please help me find it! 🙂

Are we talking about the same product? Korres cherry full colour gloss #25 natural purple is most definately a natural purple, not a bright plum or dark berry but a light, natural purple colour; like the colour of blooming heather. It goes on a soft mauvey plum-pink on lips and has no peach to it. I have very pigmented lips so on me it is lighter than my natural lip colour, however the hue is complementing it. My guess is that it clashes with your natural lip pigment (they look very pale in the picture, did you use primer?) and possibly skintone too thus making it go on another shade on you. This gloss is very well suited to my NW20 skintone. If you’re cool-toned I say definately give this gloss a go!

I bought this and must say this looks very different on my NC 40 skintone and pigmented lips. For me it is indeed a natural purple. But I have fallen in love with korres after this. Definitely one of the better glosses I have tried.

Judging by the way it looks on your arm and on the tube Palladio’s Herbal Lip Gloss in Pure Natural MIGHT BE a close dupe to Natural Purple!!! =D

Must get natural purple. Fuschia come out much too bright on me but nude is absolutely gorgeous & actually very flattering– best nude I’ve found for me.
