The Spring Season: Guerlain Forever Beige Lipstick

Guerlain Forever Beige (#558) KissKiss Lipstick ($30.00) is a bronzy brown nude with copper flecks. I don’t think the name fits the shade, just because this isn’t what I think of when I hear the word “beige.” It’s an elegant color, but it’s just not beige. Aside from the name confusion, Forever Beige looks smooth and natural on lips while still providing significant color. The shade itself is silky smooth and provides full color coverage once applied. KissKiss Lipsticks do have Guerlain’s signature scent (kind of a fragrant fruity scent) that can be too overpowering for those who prefer scent-free or near scent-free lip products. Luckily, I have no problems with the scent myself, so it’s certainly not a deterrant. (Wait, did I say luckily? No, maybe that makes me unlucky!)

Is this the right brown-nude lipstick for you? Would you wear it?

The Spring Season is a series of posts featuring my favorite soft beige, coral, and pink lipsticks and lipglosses — all perfect for the first blossom of spring — that runs through March 2010.

Sorry, this is a little off topic, but what is your favorite method of above-the-lip hair removal? Your lips look great! I want mine to look the same 🙂

I’ve heard a lot of good things about Guerlain’s KissKiss lipsticks and this is just so pretty… it actually looks like a slightly more muted version of my HG color TBS Bronze 29 (which I’ve saved for a couple years now trying to match despite the fact it peels off a layer of my lips in about 1/2 an hour LOL)… I need to go check this out!

This was part of a Holiday collection a couple of years back. I think it vanished shortly after that and then reappeared as part of the regular line. I stalked it on eBay for about a year and then found it in a Sephora.

Didn’t show up on me at all! I realized then that the ad that had me coveting it must have paired it with a darker lipliner and then used Forever Beige as a gloss on top.

Hi,

I am a fan of your blog.
I have been looking out for a lipstick color which i a mix of brown + red + nude.. and i think this looks like that.
I am from India and dusky. So pinkish undertone colors dont suit me..
Can u pls suggest this color in Revlon or Loreal or Maybelline or some other drugstore brands?
Thanks a lot in advance.
