Terra Moons Pistol Star, Proxima, Winter Sun, Eris Eyeshadows Reviews & Swatches
Pistol Star
Terra Moons Pistol Star Extreme Multichrome Shadow ($17.95 for 0.05 oz.) has a purplish-gray base with multichrome shimmer and larger flakes of sparkle that shifted from white gold to bluish-aqua to lavender. The brand did advise that it was best applied using a glitter primer or setting spray, which is accurate, as it was quite flaky.
- Nearly opaque pigmentation
- Lightly creamy but more loosely-pressed, flaky, prone to fallout
- Best applied with fingertip or dampened brush to avoid fallout
- Long-wearing (8 hours)

Formula Overview
$17.95/0.05 oz. - $359.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have a black base and "intense color changes" that are best applied with fingertip or a dry brush, as they are "very pigmented and smooth." The brand recommends not to blend them too much to "preserve the extreme multichrome shift."
The blackened base was noticeable, but often, it wasn't quite as dark or as intense as I've experienced with other black-base multichromes, so they were a little more forgiving if one blended them out a little too much. Most of the shades lived up to the "extreme" part of the shift, too!
They were richly pigmented with a soft, smooth consistency that was lightly emollient but not too thick or too densely-packed into the pan, so it was easy to pick up product with a dry brush as well as fingertips/dampened brushes if preferred. The eyeshadow applied evenly to bare skin and blended out well along the edges. They lasted between seven and eight hours on me before creasing visibly.

Proxima
Terra Moons Proxima Extreme Multichrome Shadow ($17.95 for 0.05 oz.) is a medium, reddish-orange base with flaky, multichrome sparkle that shifted from lighter orange to orange to copper. The brand did advise that it was best applied using a glitter primer or setting spray, which is accurate, as it was quite flaky. I felt like the flakiness, even with a setting spray, did make it harder to smooth out and apply evenly.

- Best applied with fingertip or dampened brush to avoid fallout

Oh man. As much as I absolutely love 3 out of the four shades (Eris, Proxima and Pistal Star), that flaky texture may not work out for me so well. This is something that I found out using my 2 Oden’s Eye palettes. Then again, I DID run out of both my Elf and MAC setting sprays, so perhaps that fallout issue would be mitigated by my picking up the Elf version at Walmart next time I go there, me thinks. 🤔
Thanks for reviewing these Christine! I felt these were too flaky for my liking, especially Pistol Star. I wish TM would make these shades/shifts in the ‘Dark Matter’ formula, My aging 40 year old lids love that smoothness.
No problem! I feel the same – I prefer less flaky texture overall!
These are really pretty shades and I like the smooth, satiny finish to them as well.
Holy moly, those are works of art in the pan. 🤩
“Pistol Star” and “Eris”, just st running! But, no-go for me on flaky, even with a fixing agent.
These seem kind of in between a more normal pressed eyeshadow and something like the Infinite Chrome Flakes by Danessa Myricks. Hopefully there’s a more spectacular result in exchange for the added effort.
And in the pan, the combination of the shiftiness and texture makes them look like holograms, especially Pistol Star.
