Temptalia Asks You - What makeup trend do you wish wouldn't come back?

What makeup trend do you wish wouldn’t come back? Can you not wait for the vamp lip to go back into oblivion?

Thanks to Tanya for the question!

Rules? Chrissy, you know there are no rules/trends in makeup — that’s where your creativity comes in….Play and have fun is my trend! Have a great weekend!

I think that anything can be totally rocked out, as long as it is done well! (including 80’s neon shadow..i love it, sometimes:) ). I would rather not see the middle school look of one color of pastel-colored super frosty eyeshadow all over the lid. But I don’t think that was a trend, so much as a mistake.

I also think any trend is ok, as long as you make it work for you and feel well wearing it. But I still hope we’ve left the completely tweezed out and then painted on eyebrows behind…

Clumpy eyelashes – I don’t know if it is a trend, but I see alot of girls sporting this look. It makes my eyes sore just looking at it. Honestly, I don’t know how they put up with it.

I 4th it!!! Always wondered why ppl tattoo perm make up on and wear the SAME EXACT THING EVERY DAY OF THEIR LIVES FOREVER!!!… Must be very boring not to mention tacky once a style/fad is out. It shows a total lack of imagination and creativity.

Pornstar lips. Dark dark lip liner.. 3 inches of gloss.

I don’t like pornstar makeup. It also doubles as tranny and sometimes you can’t tell which is which.. pornstar.. tranny…

I agree – I can’t stand too much gloss, it makes it look like they just ate fried chicken with their hands tied behind their backs. And when the gloss goes over the natural rim of the lip…iiieeeee!

Too pale lips. Which I guess is the other extreme of the current dark lips. Neutral lips are one thing, but there is just something that strikes me as inherently wrong when a person’s lips are that creamy white.. mess.

The only thing i can think of are the sharpie drawn in brows but i know sometimes its done because people dont have a lot of brow hair to work with. I agree that there are no real rules make up is fun to experiment with. I see a lot of looks that I know I coudlnt pull off but they look good on other people. Even tranny make up I have admired cuz its so creative but its not for me.

Chalky pink lipstick that looks like it probably tastes like plastic…
especially on the kinds of old ladies who wear leopard pedal-pushers.

lol, I’ve never used MAC so I don’t know what NC i would be but I have pale skin until the 2/3 weeks of summer we get in the UK and my eyebrows and hair are naturally black – nowt I can do about that!

I never want to see pornstar aka a**hole lips again. The super dark liner with the pale gloss is just wrong. Also the really harsh contouring from the 80’s, it made everyone look like a drag queen. and it’s not a trend but please stop asking for foundation lighter or darker than your skin, it needs to be a match unless you really want to look like you’re wearing a mask.

I agree with dark lipliner plus light lipcolor 😮 The horror!!!

I’m not into super chunky glitter that makes you look like a disco ball. A little shimmer in the right places is fine.
