Temptalia Asks You - If you could only buy three makeup products for the rest of your life, what would they be?

If you could only buy three makeup products for the rest of your life, what would they be? (Makeup only — thus, this excludes skincare and the like!)

Mascara, eyeliner annndd lipgloss. If I can have skincare I’d just take really super good care of my skin so that I wouldn’t need foundation. 😛

This is really hard…I think I couldn’t do without foundation, concealer and face powder. If I had perfect skin I would probably take mascara, black gel eyeliner and my Shimmering Nudes palette instead…

Lancome’s Pro Custom Design Double Mascara 100%. I live by this mascara. Tinted moisturizer with SPF. And tinted chapstick with spf. I figured if this is all I can use forever, I should make it simple. 🙂

doy to me. just saw the exclusion of skincare, but i dont wear foundation, dont wear concealer, seldom wear blush. so i will say instead of the moisturizer, black eyeliner. 🙂

mineral foundation powder (powder or fluid foundation mixed with moisturizer)
mascara
Something like a pot rouge or cream color base in a coppery/ bronzey shade to use on lips, cheeks and eyes.
I just couldn

Black eyeliner and mascara accompanied with a high shine lip moisturizer…All of the above assumes naturally fabulous skin…a girl can dream can’t she=)

Originally I thought that this question was really difficult to answer, seeing as I’m like Christine in respect to wearing multiple colours from day-to-day. That being said, with the multi-functionality of today’s cosmetics, many products can be used for more than the originally intended design.
My picks:
MAC Fibre Rich Lash Mascara in All Black
MAC Paint in Stilife
MAC Eyeshadow in Mystery

If I had perfect skin..

YSL Faux Effet Cils in #5 (Burgundy)- totally makes my eyes look bright green
Bobbi Brown Cream Lip/Cheek Color in Calypso Coral
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Lightscapade

Lipgloss, Mascara, Eyeshadow

these are the only three categories I would wear. I wear nothing half the time though.. but if I were to replace one of them with, The eyelash curler, shiseido or shu uemura..

didn’t pick out any brand because we girls always experiment with stuff, so mine’s not fixed!

Mascara, foundation and an eyelash curler. If I have to pick brand, I’d say Givenchy’s PhenomenEyes (I can’t WAIT to try that!!!), MAC Studio Fix fluid.

Ummm, the reason I pick these is because I make my own eyeshadow and lip balm! Or else I’d say lip balm instead of the curler. I guess I’m cheating. But I’m not buying the products! Just the ingredients, lol.

Good question! I would get a good mascara, a concealer and a lipbalm; if the latter is in the skincare-category I’d get something else for my lips, maybe a moisturizing lipstick.

Rose Avatar

I would definitely get:

MAC Studio Fix Fluid: this stuff makes my skin look amazing!
MAC Mineralize Blush in Nuance: Give such an amazing color and glow
CoverGirl Lash Blast Mascara in Black.

A light to medium coverage foundation, black mascara (probably Exceptionnel de Chanel since I’m still in love with it) and a pinky-peach colored cream/gel/stick such as the discontinued Neutrogena shimmer sheers. Mine are almost gone. SAD FACE. Maybe I’d spring for a NARS multiple since I’d have so much extra cash laying around!

Great question! I’d do:
1.a buildable foundation like Revlon Colorstay (so it can double as concealer)
2. mascara (and I’d take an angled brush and use it as eyeliner too)
3.lipstick (so that I can also tint my cheeks with it).

At 1st, I though it was an easy question, but, after consideration, I don’t know…
1) Maybe a multi (like NARS multi stick or even a NARS blush) to use for cheeks, lips and eyes. It feels like cheating but it’s hard to pick only 3 items!!!
2) Definitely a black mascara
3) a MAC lipliner (like VINO or NIGHTMOTH, which are too dark for my lips, and which I always use as eyeliner). They go well with purples/pinks/burgundys.

mascara, brow gel, and this MK shadow that is perfect for filling in my brows.

brows can really make or break your entire face imo. you could have perfect skin but if your brows are like caterpillars it wont really matter.

viv Avatar

does lip balm count? because that would be my first… i can NOT live without lip balm 😛
and then it’d be black eyeliner and then mascara! i’m all about the eyes 😀

Carrie Avatar

Eyeliner, mascara and tinted moisturizer. If it had to be specific products, the only one I know for sure would be MAC earthline technakohl.
