My poor wallet. This may help me recover from not having a movie tie-in Beauty and the Beast collection from anyone (in the US market).
If it’s any comfort about those L’Oreal lipsticks in Europe that were supposedly a limited edition Beauty & the Beast set, turns out they were just regular L’Oreal shades with paper wrappers. They didn’t even cover up the old shade numbers and names on the bottom of the tubes!
So I would say that entitles you to spoil yourself with these new Tarte items. 😉
That’s awful for those who purchased them!
And yes, Thank you for confirming! 😉 I need these brushes and the glitter liner, not sure about the shadows or highlighter. Need swatches since sometimes Tarte palettes are hit and miss.
I got those exact 2 items (brushes and liner) for the exact same reasons….and it does kinda make me feel better that they just regular L’Oréal with wrappers over them ? I was initially quite heart broken about not being able to get the L’Oréal stuff.
Maybe they’re listening…I spy some color!
Wow beautiful collection.
Am I the only one who thinks this looks like children’s play makeup (especially the brushes). Still, there are a few colours in the e/s palette that already have me itching (Marvel – oh my goodness – Trance and Crystal…..oh, and Fairy and…well, I guess it would be easier to list the ones I’m not wild about but I am hoping I have some DUPES for the shades I really love). Some of these shadows put me in mind of the Tarte for Aqualilies from years back. That was a great palette and it would have been perfect for travel but for the LE issue.
I was totally thinking of the Aqualilies palette when I saw this one. It’s not the same but it has that functional and fun vibe going on.
That said the Fairytale lipstick I’m really curious how the formula behaves with a mint shade like that. And the brush quality. lol
Those metallic shades have me intrigued! Not really sure I’d consider that highlight a “rainbow” though… Still, it’s beautiful!
Well that eye shadow palette is a divergence for Tarte and one I totally support. I am looking forward to this palette and haven’t bought any Tarte eye shadows for awhile since I was tired of the same old colors all the time. Hope these are the same formula as the previous rainforest formula. Can’t wait to see your reviews, Christine.
Looks like Tarte finally got that memo from all of us and is giving us something other than their usual same old boring neutrals! And those adorable brushes are to die for!
That mascara is stunning! I’m in love with the theme of this collection.
Those brushes, ugh. My weak spot. I only use synthetic brushes (I strictly shop cruelty-free), so these brushes are calling my name. This packaging is on-trend, and unfortunately for my wallet, that trend is SO up my alley!!! 😀
It’s nice to see Tarte step it up while Too Faced has had some major flops recently.
This collection has my name written all over it. It’s nice to see some color from Tarte.
The eye palette looks so gorgeous. I hope the formula is similar to Rainforest of the Sea.
This is the first seasonal collection I’ve been excited about in six months. I really hope the shadows are like the Rainforest of the Sea palettes. I haven’t tried the Metallic singles yet but this may be a reason to!
The LE packaging of the mascara looks lovely if a little Forever 21.
What a yawn collection. I will have no problem passing on EACH and every item!
Yeah, I definitely want that rose gold liner.
I do too; I’ve never tried glitter liquid liner before and have always wanted to. Maybe I layer it on top of my black liner or maybe place it above it for a double line effect? I’m going to have to Google it; I’m scared I won’t know what to do with it!!
Layering over black or using on the lower lashline/inner corner are two really pretty ways I’ve seen!
Thanks for the tips!!!
OH YESSSSS!!!! Praise the makeup gods!! They came out with more metallic shadows. If they are as good as the original ones, I will need almost all of them!!! And I wonder if that rainbow shadow palette is good too. Thank goodness Tarte is shaking it up, so used to seeing 50 shades of neutrals from them, this is a great change!
if these individual shadows are the same formula as the online-only “LE” ones they released awhile ago, Ill be psyched— but more psyched if they actually have them in stores, because no kidding, every single time I ordered one, (from sephora) it arrived shattered. sooo frustrating!!
wonder also if the palette is a similar formula, or like the rainforest of the sea palettes, which I think is already kinda similar to the metallics to begin with?
I asked Christine that once on the metallic and she said no; I haven’t picked them up myself to compare but I can tell I’d like the metallic formula more than their Amazonian clay formula. The only tarte shadows I like and own are the Rainforest palettes (but again, I haven’t tried the metallic yet because I don’t gravitate towards singles).
Ahh this theme is totally up my alley! May pick something from this collection if the reviews are positive.
*Sigh* The eye palette is stunning. Looking forward to reviews ….
Very pretty! A bit tween but maybe that’s their target market? Nothing I have to have. I would be firing for the highlighter if it didn’t have that big chunk of gold in it.
While I really like the overall look of the colourful UD collection, this one not for me. I find it all a bit gaudy. A couple of the metallic eyeshadows could be interesting depending on the finish.
Love the palette and the brushes! I will definitely look into picking these up!
I ordered the eyeshadow palette for myself and the brush set for someone else. Cant wait to see your swatches and review as it might be a while until I get my order in Russia 🙂
I love the brushes. I’m just wondering how they will look on my vanity next to the new Urban Decay xBasquiat. Split personality…
OHHHH
Oh man, I thought this would be super childish and uninteresting, but I have to say… I am mega-tempted by that sparkly eyeshadow palette. >.< The packaging is pretty tasteful too. Even the eyeshadow singles look really interesting, and seem to be at a pretty decent price point! Those gorgeous jewel tones….
By the way Christine, will you be reviewing some/all of the products in this collection?
This is sooooo cute and beautiful
I feel like these brands are trying to get girls who are younger with every new launch. It is starting to make me feel really old when the brands I used to love are no longer apealing to me. But I guess on the upside im trying alot of new brands!
I really like the brushes — but I only use the ‘artis’ brushes – I am in love with them (and I use knock offs). Maybe I will cave and buy an Artis and see the difference. I don’t know how there can be? These are fun though!
The eye shadow palette is gorgeous – really beautiful shades and some of those singles look great too. A pretty good collection I think.
I really wish all makeup company’s would drop swatches before the LIMITED EDITION releases.. 🙁
This collection is beautiful. This may become my first ever purchase(s) from Tarte, ever! I’ve never tried any of their products, I have gotten sample mascaras, but that’s about it. This collection is just too cute, speaks to me, right up my alley! The names, colours…. gah! take my money!
Looks like a really nice collection- can’t wait until it’s released.
I’m liking the look of the shadow palette; finally some interesting colours! And the rose gold glitter liner 🙂
I got the eyeshadow palette (I don’t have anything like that in my collection) and of course those brushes. Tarte rarely disappoints.
I knew I had to have the eyeshadow palette. Sephora had it as an in-app special today and although I could have ordered it yesterday on Tarte’s site, I’m Rouge at Sephora so that was a no-brainer. Add on a deluxe sample and 2 day shipping, can’t wait for its arrival! I’m still on the fence on the highlighter and the metallic eyeshadows although I need to fill up my magnetic case. They are on the same fence as the Natasha Denona Star palette…
The palette is the first one from Tarte that’s rocked my boat, Rainforest #1 and #2 didn’t do it for me as they were too warm and too boring for me but I love this! The Tarteist Metallic eyeshadows are really interesting, will look forward to swatches of these!
Which eyeshadows are the bottom picture? I can’t find them anywhere.
Did this collection already sell out and it’s not being sold in a package anymore? I only see some of the individual items in stores, but I want the whole package D:
