There have been some good purchases this year – more than I thought! I love the new Terra Moons eyeshadow shades released, Natasha Denona Zendo/Circo Loco palettes, Pat McGrath blushes, MAC Love Me Liquid Lipcolours…
I really do love both and see a place for both in my routine/collection, but I definitely reach for pre-made palettes more often if I am returning to something… probably out of ease.
I keep my singles by brand, so it tends to me if I want to do a particular set of colors and don’t want to open a bunch of pre-made palettes, then I’ll go to brand xyz and pick and choose what I need. I don’t spend a lot of time with singles unless I am testing new ones, though.
Sort of! Somedays, I have a really good idea of what I’ll be putting on the next day, and other times, there are a few items that I have to test and it’ll be where the mood takes me!
I organize by brand! If the brand has enough eyeshadows, and I am diligent, then I also organize by finish (matte vs. shimmer) and then in rainbow-color order.
One that comes to mind is Jackie Aina’s palette with Anastasia–it was really fantastic.
I want more satin-to-pearl blushes… period. I’d love a soft coral with a subtle sheen (Tom Ford Love Lust was my favorite… original formula). There are plenty of close-enough shades, but they’re often too matte or too shimmery in comparison. For something more interesting, more traditional...
I would love to see a green-gold duochrome highlighter with a finer shimmer to it – a lot of duochrome highlighters are more intense!
