I would need a good variety of eyeshadows, probably 10-12, along with three cheek colors, and a highlighter. I need some variety in color and finish! The palette would need to be cohesive within the eyeshadows included but also the eyeshadows as they relate to the cheek colors.
Half the time, I don’t, since I live in lounge wear and work from home… but more often, I’ll start wearing something, apply makeup, and end up changing my top to something else that coordinates (usually picking one shade on my eyes or going with the general color family, e.g. plum eyeshadow...
It’s not really the type of content I watch/enjoy, so I’m really behind on what the current “hacks” are these days… but I have certainly used a toilet seat cover as an oil blotting sheet in a pinch! (And it does work.)
At least for this year, buying all of the “revamped” Sephora single eyeshadows this year… they were significantly worse, and I never ended up finishing the reviews because they weren’t that good and weren’t that cheap, which resulted in low interest.
It’ll always be making coming off of my nose from my sunglasses. It can be better or worse but I’ve never fully eradicated it!

If I’m in the mood to browse, in person, but generally, I have an idea of what I want, so online is faster and easier.
I would definitely re-purchase any of my favorites/go-to products that were still available. I’m going to pretend that I’m not a blogger in this scenario (as the rest of my answer would be quite different), so then the next step would be to think about the types of products I wasn’t able to...
If it’s more expensive, I have to be more conscious of the likelihood I’ll be able to review it in a timely manner, and to a degree, if it’s quite pricey and I’m not certain quality will be decent, I might purchase a few shades to try first rather than all.
I love playing with eyeshadow, so color and metallics and sparkles are all up my alley. I also really enjoy layering cheek colors or lip products together to come up with something interesting and dazzling. So… color and lots of it… all over my face.
