What categories are least represented in your stash?

The only types of products I don’t keep on hand much are things like false eyelashes (though I still have several dozen), hair tools, and hair sprays/dyes/mousses.

There’s not much I don’t have plenty of! I’m sure I have enough lipstick, lipgloss, and eyeshadow palettes to get me through a few apocalypses, though.

What was the last impulse purchase that turned out well?

Natasha Denona Duo Glows! I overlooked them when the line came out / when they initially launched, but they were both amazing!

Do you want your makeup to have more skincare benefits?

Do you want your makeup to have more skincare benefits?

Need? No, not really. Want? Maybe? For me, the idea of making powder products sit better on skin by infusing with “skincare benefits” makes sense–give me a highlighter that beams me to Mars but makes me look poreless. The biggest thing for me is that whatever is in my makeup is likely to be...

What does "natural" mean to you in skincare?

What does "natural" mean to you in skincare?

I’m really not a fan of the word “natural” to describe most products, beauty or otherwise, since it’s really a fluffy term these days. For me, it should mean more ethically and sustainably sourced ingredients, packaging that’s easier on the environment, ethical labor, particular attention...

What beauty brands rarely live up to your expectations?

What beauty brands rarely live up to your expectations?

Bobbi Brown eyeshadows (I think the brand is reliable on lip/cheek products, though), Too Faced (generally, so hit or miss!), Stila (some good, core products but new formulas are a rollercoaster ride).

What was the last brand you fell out of love with?

Guerlain! They were always a favorite but for the last few years, I’ve been less and less interested in their offerings (which have felt erratic in timing and often feel like a rehash of past offerings). They’ve discontinued a lot of products without replacing with new formulas, too.

What was the last brand you fell in love with?

Sydney Grace! First, I’m a fiend for eyeshadow, so their massive range was beyond tempting. Have you seen the number of GREENS in their range? All over it. I was so pleased that so much of what I’ve tried to date has been quite lovely!
