Are facial masks part of your regular skincare routine? Which ones?

Are facial masks part of your regular skincare routine? Which ones?

I’m really inconsistent with face masks, but I have been trying to spend at least one evening each week as a more “pampering” moment where I DO use a face mask. I’ve been going through some of the sheet masks I’ve purchased, mostly by Dr. Jart+ as well as Mahalo’s Petal mask.

How does your makeup routine from "weekday" to "weekend"?

How does your makeup routine from "weekday" to "weekend"?

It doesn’t change much, since I usually work everyday of the week and might spend more time on one day doing errands or going on a longer walk with hubby and the dog or something, but I try to test a few products every day and the only reason I’m not testing as much as possible would be 1) have...

How do you handle aggressive salespeople?

How do you handle aggressive salespeople?

I try to give them a firm, “I’m just looking,” or “I’ll let you know if I need help, but for now, I just want to look on my own!” If they really push, then I’ll leave.

Which beauty product has proven to be the biggest multitasker in your collection?

Which beauty product has proven to be the biggest multitasker in your collection?

Sonia G.’s Builder Three is a newer go-to, and for me, it replaces the functionality of MAC’s 239 for me, which has long been one of my most versatile brushes as I could get away with doing an entire look using just that brush. The same is true with the Builder Three–it’s just particularly...

If you had to discard three products from your stash right now, which would you discard?

Those Fenty liquid eyeliners were rough, so they can go with no remorse! The NARS Endless Orgasm Multi-Use Palette was a mess for me, so that, too, can take a walk (or run) outta my stash. Kaja’s Moon Crystal Pigments were on the weaker side for me (I tried four, only one was good), so I know...

What was the last makeup disaster you had to deal with?

I put something on my lower lash line that was just causing major, major watery eyes, and I find that for me, when my eyes really start to water, it’s just all downhill as more makeup gets washed away by my tears and onto my eyeballs. I was able to take makeup remover and a cotton swab, remove...

How important is a product’s name to you?

How important is a product’s name to you?

I don’t remember names very well any more, so they don’t encourage or discourage me from buying… so long as they aren’t patently offensive (like a racial slur). I do think brands should take some care in the names they use, though, and if they’re doing a theme that could relate back to a...

What’s a better value to you: palettes or singles? Why?

What’s a better value to you: palettes or singles? Why?

Don’t get me wrong, I love singles, and I think if I was just a consumer, I’d get equal value out of palettes and singles because I enjoy mixing and matching a lot… but when I have that rare moment where I’m picking and choosing what to wear from ALL THE THINGS (not just what needs to be...

What beauty product do you use that a lot of others seem to skip?

Colored, pencil eyeliner and/or colored eyeshadow underneath my lower lash line! I definitely see people doing this, but for me, it’s practically a must-do every time I apply makeup!
