Sydney Grace Eyeshadows Swatches (x70)
Sydney Grace Eyeshadows have three different pressed powder versions–matte, shimmer, and pressed pigment–and I bought 70 shades to try a few months ago. In celebration of Small Business Saturday, here are swatches of the eyeshadows I bought! Additionally, the brand is giving 25% off sitewide (except for their just-released palette). 25% of the proceeds from their new eyeshadow palette, now through the end of the year, will go to the victims of the Camp Fire.
Thanks so much for getting all of these swatches up! While I don’t think I need to make any more eyeshadow purchases for a while, do want to check out this brand eventually, and being able to compare swatches to my current collection of eyeshadows will be invaluable.
And that’s wonderful that they’re donating some of the proceeds of their new palette!
Oh, those metallic purples and deep smutty greens and olives are to die for!!! Peace is also calling my name 😉
Just I’ve *tried* to convince myself that I really don’t need any more eyeshadow for at least 10 years, THIS staggering level of shadows have made a major blip on my radar! 70 is a ton, and I’ve heard that SG actually has 300. Crazy, huh? Been swooning over her swatches for at least a year, maybe longer. Megalodon, Levy, Red Mist, Winter Garden, Starfish, to name a few, have my attention.
Wow – Christine, these look so good. Beautiful shades too.
My favorite indie brand to support! Their quality is amazing and the owner is one of the most genuine and sweet people EVER. I love purchasing makeup (some would say too much ?) but it’s even better to know you’re supporting good people when you buy! Their cream shadows are worth a look and so are their highlighters. ❤️
Your comment helped seal the deal; I enjoy supporting people who hide as much as their products (and of course the the order is actually the reverse, those who shine tend to make good products). Looking forward to receiving them!
Doubling down on this comment. I’ve worked with the owner as part of my business and she is lovely, but I was also a fan/customer long before that. I own something like 20 powder shadows (including some of the mattes that swatched poorly here but blend really well for me on the eyes, like Regal), and 5 of the cream shadows, which I honestly think are on par with more expensive brands like Stila.
This is an indie brand that really shines!
Yikes, I see they have cream shadows too, which look lovely. I’m in trouble now! 😉
I seriously just placed my first order from them…. yesterday. 🙁 If only I knew to wait! LOL Most of the shades I picked out, you didn’t happen to pick up though. I’m crossing my fingers that they are as good as the indie makeup community claims!
You won’t be disappointed!! Sydney Grace beats out most high end eyeshadow for me
Ooh, I really love Golden Strawberry, Gold Earth, and Tattle Tale.
OH LAWD!
Goodness goodness me. Must stick to budget. Must stick to budget. Must stick to budget.
Seriously awesome work. Thank you so much.
If same as last year, they will have sale for Christmas as well.
Bless your heart, that really helped put the brakes on the impending splurge!
While their powder eyeshadows are nice, their cream eyeshadows are really where it’s at. Such pretty shades to choose from and they last all day over primer. Maximum impact for minimal effort!
I lack good greens, blues, and purples. I may have to check after holiday shopping. Also, it’s for such a worthy cause. I can’t imagine.
Sydney Grace are my favourite shadows, especially the pressed pigments. I love them more than my Pat McGrath, ABH and Mac shadows, they outperform them on my oily lids.
Wow, these look amazing!
I placed my first order yesterday so I’m really relieved and excited.
Also, the shadows look so pleasing to the eye when arranged like that together!
Hi Christine what is the pan size ? like mac or mufe ?
I have them! They are same size as mac (standard round) and contains 1.8 g each.
Wow, I’ve never heard of this brand. Some really fantastic looking shadows here! I love those greens! Will need to check this brand out. And thank you for supporting small businesses! And this small business is also supporting a good cause.
VERY nice! And I’ve never heard of this brand. The swatches look great, but can anyone say how they blend?
They blend beautifully. I’ve not hit a rotten one in the bunch. I have 2 palettes and over 30 singles.
Oh well, I didn’t wait for answers, your swatches, the comments and their swatches and beautiful, unique colors (at least for my collection) convinced me. I purchase 15 in blues, purples and greens. I’ve made my own “holiday” palette. 😉
They blend really well, layer well too. Tap your brush before applying as there is a tiny bit of fallout but nothing major
Yess so excited for you to finally try SGC! Love her formula. I think it’s great you’re reviewing more indie brands because they have some great dupes for more expensive shadows
This is so timely! I had filled my cart on SydneyGrace yesterday based on seeing the pigmentation of their shadows on a few of BeautyCult’s dupes posts, and hearing about the sale. This is incredibly helpful! Thank you for this look at what seems to be a great indie brand.
Sydney Grace just blows me away. I haven’t purchased any yet by Mel Thompson (aka Puffins Wife) talks about them frequently and I just drool over them every single time. I don’t know why, but I don’t really like purchasing products without a physical location.
I do love SG pressed pigments
Some of my favorites are Mythical, below Zero, bronzed to perfection, Flannel, Forbidden love and comforter. THE mattes are a hit or miss for me. I want to try the cream shadows next!
I’ve heard good things about these shadows, and now I see why. They look fantastic.
I’m sorry but does any one else see that many colors look identical or just a smidge different? I mean, so close you probably couldn’t tell the difference once on the eye?
That was my exact first thought.
checkout Angelica Nyqvist on YouTube, she has done a few swatch and review videos on Sydney Grace shadows so you can see any close comparisons on the items she had in her collection along with these Christine had done. The rule I use with any single eyeshadow purchases is I check what i have already in my collection and then purchase the colour-ways that appeal to me that aren’t overlapping too much with what I already have. Usually I go for duoxhromes or very bold colours as I don’t have a lot that are more spectacular and pigmented like Sydney Grace’s formulas. I also like to purchase bundles where the colour schemes are up my ally, like the Winter bundle. At this time I have around 30 of the eyeshadow/pigments, a loose pigment and 5 or so cream shadows and I love them all. Some of the matters need to be built up but I’m not a big all matte wearer so no night for me.
Thank you so much for this! I am so happy that you have reviews of Sydney Grace co shadows now, as well as Nabla!! Nearly half of my single shadows are either from those two brands combined. And I am really happy to now being able to put them in my online vanity and compare them to new shadows I might be planning to buy! Thank you so much!
Wow, a lot of these look almost exactly the same!
I wish I saw your swatches before buying.. your swatches look a heck of a lot different than theirs.
As someone who owns a lot of these, I’d say that Christine’s swatches lean a bit warmer than they swatch for me IRL, especially the purples/pinks.
Wow !’ I keep saying I am going to make a personalized palette. Very pretty colors. @DZYMZLZY , I heard about them too by Mel ( puffins wife.) I like her YouTube videos too. .
I think there are many different colors shades Sydney Grace offers just with the 70. What happened with MAC, singles they took away all there purples, pinks, there’s definitely not that many colors anymore. Anyone notice that ?
Thank you Christine for all you do .
Hi there, I just received three of the Sydney Grace Eyeshadows after your recommendation. I love them, but what do you put them in? I couldn’t see anywhere that they offered an empty palate?
Whatever empty palettes I have on hand – empty palettes from ColourPop, MAC, NARS, MUFE, etc.!
Hey Christine, Thanks, I have ordered an empty palate off Etsy.
