Sydney Grace Enduring Love (Deep) Palette Swatches

Sydney Grace Enduring Love (Deep) Eyeshadow Palette ($52.00) is a new palette that will join the brand’s permanent offerings on January 13th. There will also be a Light version offered; per the brand, Romeo and all of the matte shades have both a light and deep version. I don’t have the Light version yet but hope to receive it soon + share swatches as soon as I can.

WOW!! This is gorgeous! I am going to have to do my best to talk myself out of getting it, though, because I can likely dupe the entire palette within just my PMG shades in both incoming and already here Motherships. I do love this Deep version a LOT anyway!
What a great idea, Nancy! I didn’t see the similarities between Decadence and this until you mentioned it. Good eye!
Thanks for this post, Nancy! It actually makes me feel good for missing out on Midnight sun bargain price (they didn’t fulfill my order), and passing on Re-Decadence and Golden Opulence. Perfect excuse to grab the light and deep Sydney Grace? I’m making perfect sense here, right?? Lol ???
Absolutely perfect sense, Wednesday! If I had seen this palette coming, I may not have gone so crazy over re-Decadence myself!
A Sydney Grace palette! How exciting!! I can’t wait to see the “light” version (tho this seems wearable itself)
Wow, this is pretty indeed but (having never bought Sydney Grace) it seems like the company’s prices are starting to climb, compared with the singles I’ve seen here on Temptalia in past. Two or 3 shades that aren’t my cup of tea but the others – wow!
The previous palette (Autumn’s Reign) was the same price ($52, they’re currently selling the shades for $50 without the palette). Singles are $5 (mattes) to $6 (pressed pigments), so 15 singles would be $75 to $90 if purchased individually.
I guess I’m so used to seeing the $5 to $6 prices here, and as I say, I’ve not purchased anything from SG (the whole “online only” issue) so seeing the price just sort of surprised me. It is a good value though, as I said, a few of the shades aren’t for me. I find the pairing of the names really interesting, especially John and Abigail (The Crucible?).
I think it’s named after John and Abigail Adams. John Adams was the 2nd US president and the couple is said to have an enduring love story. Her and her husband were often physically seperated due to the demands of the presidency. They sent over 1,100 love letters to each other during their separations.
Of course I could be wrong and the names could come from the Crucible. I’m just guessing it’s John and Abigail Adams
LOL – my first thought was John Proctor and Abigail Williams (the housemaid with whom he “sinned”) – popped into my head rather than the president and his wife….
It’s a 1776 reference4! Salt Peter! Pins!!!!
Absolutely beautiful! and I love the names and know of all the couples be referred to except Robert and Deanna….maybe the owners of Sydney Grace??
Robert and Deanna are the owners parents!
I think I saw an an instagram post from the company’s owner that said Robert and Deanna are her parents.
Yes, they posted on their Instagram about their parents Robert and Deanna, and it was such a sweet tribute, it makes me want the palette even more!
of course it’s beautiful. But $52 for sydney grace hurts me!
What a beautiful cool-toned curation. The lighter colored Albert and John metallics look quite unusual, and Deanna reminds me of a shade in the ND Star palette but looks like it could perform wonderfully. Very promising, and I can’t wait to see the light version.
The real question is how to acquire this duo on my low buy ?
Too hard to explain what I mean, but the (not SG, s.t. through reddit) IG swatches look as if the deep palette is more saturated and the light palette less so. But each shade is highly similar to the parallel shade in the other palette, except on certain dimensions. Inadequate color vocabulary, I confess. We’ll have to wait for Christine’s expert swatches, descriptions, and comparisons/contrasts.
This is gorgeous!!
Ack! I want this so bad that the wait is killing me. I follow her on Instagram and her previews have me salivating for it… I will get the lighter version though as I’m very fair.
This looks so lush. Can’t wait to see light version swatches!
Deanna…omg.. ???
A stunning palette – but why do brands think that they have to keep adding reds and oranges? However there are lots to love here and the review, plus the light version, will be interesting.
That was my thought too, Genevieve – about the red, especially. I blame the success of Modern Renaissance, myself – since then, every brand has been copying that vibe and I guess most folks aren’t like us, as these shades sell and seem popular (heck, even Chanel has done them).
This is utterly gorgeous, and has PML Decadence vibes to it. I’m definitely interested. I can’t wait to see the Light version, though. It might be more suitable for me.
I love the cover, the inspo Enduring Love, and Albert, but the rest I either have dupes or won’t wear.
So sweet! Did I get it right?
Romeo & Juliet (Shakespeare)
Darcy & Elizabeth (Pride & Prejudice)
Albert & Victoria (Prince & Queen–tho kinda creepy bc they were also 1st cousins)
Boaz & Ruth (Bible)
John & Abigail (POTUS & FLOTUS 2)
Robert/Deana-SG parents
The swatches are gorgeous, w Ruth being the runaway hit. I need this in my life, no matter how close it is to Mother Pat’s Lapis Luxury.
I love the shades Victoria and Passion… strong muted cooler shades rock my world. I will have to check out the lighter version as well. I have a very soft spot for Sydney Grace and I enjoy supporting their efforts. I think the dark one will be a must.
GAH this is gorgeous!!
And Christine- you are so creative, I would have never thought of this combo or placement. It’s stunning!
Oh, Deanna tho! And also Cherish and Robert….finally some “transition shades” that would actually be flattering on my complexion.
Omg, this looks fantastic. Haven’t bought an eyeshadow palette in a long time! This may be the one to break that.
