I definitely want to get their mystery bag in the cool-toned light option. I reaaaaally want Enduring Love but dunno if I’ll pull the trigger on that. I’m not interested in the new glitters (tho it’s nice some of them are biodegradable) but I will be tempted when the blushes and highlighters go on sale.

I’m really torn on what day to do. The day I’m most interested in is the last day when single shadows are 25% off, but I feel like soooo much will be out of stock by then! But I don’t really need any palettes (my palette drawer is FULL!), highlighters or blushes. Not interested in their cream shadows (bad experience with them) or glitters. Kind of feel like I should just see what’s left on the last day (but what if there’s nothing left?!?!) and then wait to buy the rest.

CatG, since orders won’t be combined for US customers, there’s no reason to wait until the last day to buy anything but the single shadows. Unless you are outside US, of course, as those will be combined.

CatG, that’s what I did last year–I waited for the day the singles were going on sale. In the meantime, I spent a lot of time figuring out what to put into my basket. Our of 20+ shadow colors I ended up ordering on that last day, none of them were OOS. The only things that ended up being OOS were a couple different cream shadow colors. Of course, there’s always the risk that something will run OOS, but I was pretty impressed that SG had adequate stocks to handle all those colors. I did order very quickly after the sale began though.

They did do surprise deals last year. IIRC, it coincided with the release of their lip creams and it was a store credit offer (i.e. Spend $50, earn $X in store credit to use on a future order, spend $75, earn $Y, etc.).

I hope they continue with this deal or the discounted bundles one. Hopefully, the spend a certain amount deal is first because I would rather spend on the bundles without a discount and use the credit for single shadows or a mystery bag or two

While it’s nice that the sale will be held this year again, I’m disappointed that US multiple orders won’t be combined to save on shipping cost. It must have been too difficult dealing with this last year…

Niki, from what I read above, each order placed has to exceed $55 to get free shipping. I don’t want to spend that much each time I place an order during the sale–I just don’t need that much makeup.

I feel like they’re missing out on the Canadian market BIGtime! I keep wanting to try them, but $20 for shipping alone is insane OR having to spend $150 to get free shipping just to try a brand is insane to me. I will spend that if I know I love the product, but just to try something is not an expense I can justify… Oh well…

Marianna,
Regarding shipping costs for Sydney Grace products going to Canada, I understand not wanting to pay the $, but if it’s any consolation, $20 sounds about right. I’ve ordered from Canadian indie brand Clionadh cosmetics 3 times in the last 3 or 4 years. The cost of each order was well more than $150, but I still paid $20 per order to ship from Toronto to Los Angeles. The wait time between order placement and order shipment also was several months, whereas Sydney Grace has gotten me my orders within a week of placement. I’m not criticizing Clionadh – I love their products. I just thought I’d share my experience in case it’s helpful.

I get that, and like I said, if I were familiar with the product and loved it, I’d be able to judge if it’s worth it to me, but to pay that in order just to be able to try it, is pretty crazy. Even if they had free shipping after $50 once a year, I’d justify that expense, but I can’t justify $150 to potentially learn I don’t like it. The alternative of $20 shipping is roughly 1/3 of the price of one of their palettes. Just hard to justify that ratio in my mind. I really wanted to try them out, so I’m pretty bummed about it…

Looks like Canadian are excluded from the 7/16/20 Summer Days free palette with at least a $55 USD purchase, which I don’t understand why when I can purchase it separetely and have it shipped to Canada. I get the following message, “Unfortunately one or more items in your cart can’t be shipped to your location. Please choose a different delivery address.” and I’ve tried different browsers and address. It’s not cost-effective to purchase from Sydney Grace otherwise.
