We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when
a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set
expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up
being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!
Overall, these are quite pretty. Some of the shades in the cooler palette look a bit anemic and would barely show up on my MAC NC 5-10 skin. Might show up nicer on a little deeper complexion but then the other shades might make it worth while. Even the warm toned palette seems a little different than many that have been released lately with more peachy/coral shades than straight up red and orange. Both appear like they would be nice for spring/summer looks.

Thank you for posting the ingredients – I can happily order Gemstones! It’s gorgeous!
I went to Sephora on my birthday. I got a few gift cards, and really wanted to use them for something I wouldn’t usually buy for myself. I swatched Natasha Denona palettes, and the Huda Beauty palettes. They just were not worth the money. The quality, which I would expect to be superior at these price points were beyond awful. These lines that I have found to be extremely expensive, just don’t perform. I couldn’t believe how much I had to work them to get them to blend, show up, and look like an adult applied them rather than a child. The “revolutionary” formulas were awful. After my disappointment with ABH Subculture, I didn’t think another cosmetic line could ever disappoint me like that, but Huda and Denona sure did. Huda’s foundation was awful as well. I have drug store makeup that performs better. What are people thinking when they push out things like this? If they can’t get quality products out of the labs, why not just state that they are an experiment? Why do they keep making excuses for their products instead of just not releasing them? I would be embarrassed to put my name on these products. I have been in the beauty business for 37 years, and I have eye shadows that I don’t have to “tap”, “pat”, “wet my brush”, and use a magick wand to apply. Who has time for all that? Really, at these price points, it should apply it self, wear until you take it off., and should look amazing for 18 hours. Make any excuse, blame the consumer, insult people who have been wearing cosmetics longer than they haven’t. I am getting really jaded. Even companies I love have been scooped up by huge conglomerates, the price goes up, quality goes down. I think this summer, I am just shopping my own stash. I am not impressed with anything at this point.

Can I ask what your favorite, simple-to-use eyeshadow palette are then?
I have been using my Naked Heat and Naked 3 Urban Decay palettes. They just work, no muss no fuss. I apply them, they blend, I can get all kinds of looks between the two. I have found myself grabbing them both more so than any other palettes right now. Everyone has red and copper, gold, and orange right now, and these just don’t let me down. I have always used UD’s primer, and my eye shadow looks great. I know that even some of their summer palettes aren’t that great. I swatched the Purple Palette Christine reviewed and I found those shadows to be a bit lacking, so I am just going to stick with my tried and true, dependable Urban Decay palettes.
That’s so funny. Shows that difference really makes the market. I have Naked Heat and have found it to be underwhelming. I don’t think it applies well and I think it performs even worse. The only palette I think I like less is Tartelette Toasted.
I do, however, love all my Huda palettes, the big ones and the minis. On the less expensive front, Colourpop and BH make beautiful palettes for under $30.

The #9’s are my favorites from both pallets. I’ll take those 2 please.
Do I own enough purple and copper eyeshadows yet? Anyone? Rhetorical question, I know. But, yeah, I’m digging Gemstones for real! ?
kjh
Rhetorical or not, yeah, you do. But when has that stopped us? Gemstones finish looks a bit like the danger control palette I scored w/markdown + 15, intending to use as HL. Not bad as straight shadow, accent, or topper, either. I’m surprisingly attracted to the coral…and the name alone would normally put me off. TME, only #8 look truly coral, and only coral lips look dreadful, not a hit on the eyes. Haven’t seen any Huda in person and haven’t bit yet. The KVD tenth anniversary set is out (see Muse), so don’t deplete your wallet on Huda.
I think the reviews are going to be interesting, judging by the swatches.

The Huda Beauty gemstone palette looks so beautiful. I would love to get it but I just bought the Fenty Galaxy palette and I fear they may be very similar
I own all the previous 4 obsessions palettes from Huda beauty. I also own, the two large palettes she came out with. That being said, I am not very excited for the coral one, I feel like I already own all those shades in other palettes. The gemstone one, is what I am more interested in. I don’t feel like it’s a very cohesive palette and it has no mattes at all in it. I would have to always reach for another palette for a matte or a transition shade. But keeping that in mind, I am okay with it and I would like to get it. The gemstone one. I hope it reviews well.

I hope the gemstone palette reviews well! A couple of those shadows didn’t swatch the best, but man it’s pretty.

Coral Obsession looks so much better than Gemstones! Maybe I’ll get the Bad Habit dupe that’ll inevitably be released. 🙂

Looking forward to your reviews! I really want to get both.
Wiw, these both look grest
IGemstones is a a must have for me to go with their little bright palette.
I’m fond of the Gemstones palette though would want to see certain shades apllied to see if I can pull them off.
I’m with Rina in wanting #9 from both palettes!
