The Sephora mud mask is amazing! A lot of people sleep on the Sephora brand. Especially the skincare.
Yeah I also really love their sleeping mask pods. I wish they’d make those in a big tube!

I am Medium-Tan complected (Nc40), the last product I finished was the Garnier Micellar water (pink bottle), last purchase was the Makeup Forever Artist Palette 2, and last resisted product was the Hourglass Ambient Strobe Lightning Blush Palette.

Finished: It Cosmetics CC Cream, Sesso lip gloss from UD Naked on the Run (RIP)
Purchased: UD Perversion Mascara, NYX makeup remover, cotton rounds, one of those 3-packs of NYX Liquid Suede that was on clearance at Ulta, 2 shimmery Palladio liquid liners (a blue and one that’s a pinkish shade) and a purplish Palladio tinted balm that were each on clearance for less than $1 at Ulta. Or maybe it was a couple of lip products at Dollar General (a shimmery sheer pink BR lip gloss and a Broadway Colors lipstick in a tealish green).
Resisted: Damn near everything else, but it wasn’t as hard as usual since I’m still having fun with my Christmas palettes.

Last product you finished? Kryolan Micro HD Primer. I always want to get sucked into department store brands (Benefit’s Porefessional, etc.) but this just does the job so well for me: fills in pores, controls my oil, gives me a flawless canvas to apply product. I’m on my third one and I’m not looking back.
Last product you purchased? Thanks to your handy money-saving tip, I ended up buying the Kat Von D Pastel Goth palette. I thought it would be such a cute addition to the MetalMatte — almost like an expansion pack! After I saw Jkissa’s review and comparison swatches I was like “ooooh, gotta have it!”

I know this product hasn’t even formally released yet, but I’ve seen the previews online and I’m here to let you all now RIGHT NOW ON THIS DAY, that I’m not gonna buy the ‘Camelia De Chanel” new highlighter from Chanel’s upcoming 2017 Spring lineup. I’M NOT GONNA DO IT, I PROMISE!!! (especially not for .21 oz of product for like 70-80 bucks — a girl has standards!)

Lt-med, coolish. Finished: Paula ultra light serum and resist moisturizer. Uncapped and ‘swooned’ out the dregs on the same day. Have been using nip&fab no needles fix serum as moisturizer for a while. It’s not classically serum textured. More of a gel cream. Like it. Purchase: CP. 1400, Bardot, Dopey, sweet set. That was my take-away from the best of 16 lists. Most recent resists, in order of recency: Pastel Goth, Queen of Hearts, MR, and KGD foundation. Prob the weekend warrior palette, as of today. Of course, the perms will be the most back burnered. KGD is unreal. It really does look like skin. And even the lt-med warm looks good, once blended on. (Looks too yellow in direct contrast…the dot on the skin…but blends in to look as if I have a slightly warmer complexion. Absolutely unreal. I could probably wear 4 of their shades in the light-medium sample set.

Skintone/Coloring: Pale, neutral; dark-featured.
Finished: Wet n Wild Take on the Day Mattifying Powder, but I have 2 backups. I’m also trying to finish the last remnants of L’Oreal True Match Blush in C3-4 Tender Rose, which I’m not going to run out to replace (I really do love it, but for the price, I can get a backup of my HG, NARS Douceur in the pro refill pan).
Bought: MUFE Pro Fusion Highlighter in 01; I kind of wish I grabbed the ABH Moonchild Glow Kit, instead…
Resisted: KvD/TF Better Together palette. It’s a pretty good deal for what you get, especially if you’re interested in the liner & mascara, but although I want to try both, I have too many to get through ATM… The only eyeshadow that stood out was Swoon (the red on the KvD side), but after swatching, I realized mixing the Metal Crush eyeshadows in Thunderstruck & Raw Power yield a close enough result.

Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Eye Crayon in black and brown. They last great on the waterline (at least based on others I’ve tried), but most importantly, they don’t make my eyes itch. I was being driven crazy by every other liner I’ve tried from Essence to MAC to UD to Lancome.
Last product you resisted?
Tom Ford Cream eye shadow in Platinum. I returned the one I ordered unused based on a member’s review here. She is right, the TF is essentially the exact same color as Elf’s Smudge Pot in Cruisin’ Chic. It’s just too close a match for a $39 difference in price. The Elf is very nice quality too. Lasts all day, retains its color integrity, and takes some doing to get it off! 🙂

It lasts me for about 8 months every time and to get more out of it – cute the tube and scrape out the oil that’s hardened and you can get another month or two out of it *I only use it on my face.)

Last product you resisted? Sephora Give Me More lip Set $60 one.
Skin tone/coloring- I am very fair, I’m currently using the Too Faced “Born This Way” foundation in the shade Porcelain, which is a tad yellowish for me, but can be blended in well and topped with pressed powder to look more natural on me. I am a dark brunette with blue eyes.
Last product I finished- Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless pressed powder in Classic Ivory, shade 120. I purchased the next lightest shade, Porcelain, shade 110, to replace it.
Last product I purchased- I had Ulta gift cards from Christmas and my birthday, so I ordered Urban Decay’s Blackmail Vice Lipstick Palette, which was on sale for $25, (regularly $35), the UD Original Primer Potion, $20, and the IT Brushes Airbrush Radiance Fan Brush No. 112 for $18. The palette is wonderful, the primer is great, and the brush is useful to sweep away eyeshadow fallout after application and to put on finishing powder.
Last product I resisted- The Sweet Peach palette from Too Faced. I swatched it in Ulta the day they got it in store, well, the purples at least, because I had heard they were awful. Big surprise, they were. I dipped three times(!) in “Talk Derby to Me” and “Delectable”, pressing pretty hard to get up any product at all, and swatched them on my hand. The pigmentation for a $49 product was disgusting, the glitter in “Talk Derby to Me” just literally fell off, and “Delectable” was horrifically chalky and patchy. I was irritated by this point, but thought about swatching with UD’s Primer Potion, just to make sure it was something I could absolutely not work with. This is when I lightly swiped my finger over my swatches before cleaning them off, and they were completely gone, leaving behind only a faint grayish-mauve film. Ultimately I am disgusted with the lack of quality and the over-hyped piece of trash they were trying to sell me. I wanted to love that palette so badly, I love Too Faced, and it just felt like a slap in the face to have something of such a low quality. The sad part is, I honestly still want it, but I refuse to pay $49 of my money on a product like that.
Do you know if the original Sweet Peach palette was as dismal or did Too Faced drop the ball on the new one?

Last product you resisted? KVD Pastel Goth! Even though I do have MetalMatte and adore it, it is smaller, which was the only reason why I would purchase it, but I didn’t and probably wont, unless I win the lottery.

Last product you finished? Sephora Perfecting Eye Primer – Doesn’t stir up my allergies, and works pretty well! They changed the label again though, so I have to figure out the next closest thing.
Last product you purchased? Urban Decay Naked Smokey Pallet – I love the colors, but they don’t seem to have the staying power of my other UD pallets.
Last product you resisted? Did not buy the UD Full Spectrum. It’s on sale so I still sort of want it, but it’s gotten lackluster reviews and I have two Vice pallets that I feel are more versatile.
My husband bought me the full spectrum palette when the girl at Sephora told him it was the ‘replacement’ for the electric palette…. I was going to return it but decided to keep it instead and have been happy enough with it. Haven’t used all the colors yet, but the reds/oranges/yellows are pretty good. Mostly its the glittery white that really sucks.

Make up wise… YSL Ink fusion foundation. Would not recipient of you don’t have great great skin. Sinks into pores, accentuates try patches, floats on the T zone at the end of the day and I have normal skin. Could only make it work with a dense brush (face 3 Marc Jacobs).

Megan, if you don’t mind my asking, how did you like the mineral veil primer?
I love it and will continue to use. I haven’t found anything that is all around better.. Benefit Porefessional does fill in my pores better but I don’t feel like my foundation looks as good as it does with the Hourglass. I recommend giving it a try.

Last product purchased: Actually a couple as I made a trip to Spokane with my daughter for my birthday and went to Sephora. I got out much cheaper than I usually do as I am trying to maintain a “low buy”. I did purchase Sunday Riley Tidal, Tarte blush in Exposed, Jack Black Lip Balm and picked up my birthday present for this year. The choices were a Tarte mini blush and lipstick or a Caudalie gift set. I had the Caudalie set from last year as it was a point perk. The blush and lipstick from Tarte is suppose to be exclusive to the Sephora Birthday gift. I went with the Tarte set and when I got home I noticed that the blush is pretty similar to exposed except maybe a touch peachier. It is called Party, I think.
Last product I resisted: Well, most of Sephora! Seriously though, I thought about getting another Marc Jacobs blush and also looked at some skin care as I want to get a few more Asian skin care products but in the end didn’t get anything as I wanted to do a little more research.

Resisted: I’m still resisting buying the Pastel Goth palette. Even though I consider myself Goth and I was looking forward to this one to get some pastel colours, they are not pastels at all. Maybe the orange shade is but that’s it. it’s so disappointing. I have the Mi Vida Loca palette from holiday 2015. There’s practically dupes in there for every shade. I also have the Metal Matte. It’s very hard for me to resist but I’m trying my best.
I also resisted buying the Better Together Palette. I have never tried Too Faced and I find this palette SO ME with the cute pink TF side and the dark KVD side. But the TF shadow colours in there are so not my style and the KVD side has a black and a white shadow which I have got in the Metal Matte. It’s just not worth it for me sadly.

Last product you resisted? Last product I resisted was a Make Up For Ever eye shadow!! I was going to create a three pan cheek pallet, but as the last second I swapped out the golden shimmery coral shade I was going to buy, for D-826 (It’s a glittery, dark reddish shade with a touch of purple). And turns out, I love using the three shades I DID buy as a eye AND cheek pallet as well!! So I guess resisting worked out for me in the long run 😛

Last product you resisted? Tarteist pro palette. The colors are so so pretty. I looked at the mixed reviews and finally went with Viseart. Hopefully I can resist it in the future too because this is a permanent palette.
Skintone/coloring: Light to Light medium, coolish neutral with dark blonde hair.
Last product finished: Cleaned out the Naked 2 pan in the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette. Essentially the palette is now finished because the Naked 2 shade is the reason I reach for it. I saw this coming and bought a backup during the Rouge sale but now am not sure what to do with the remaining pans. ( I do use them occasionally, especially Walk of Shame, Venus and Faint.)
The last product totally finished: BECCA Backlight Primer, definitely one of my top three face primers.
Last Product purchased: By Terry Light Expert Foundation. I could do without the brush applicator and the scent but am very happy with the formula.
Last product resisted: Tarteist Pro Amazonian palette. In the beginning I had little interest then I saw a few reviews/tutorials on YouTube by women I trust and I really wanted it. It has been in and out of my cart a few times but because the ratings seem to be either very good or very bad I was concerned that there may be quality issues from batch to batch. I decided I needed to see it in the store but forgot about it the last time I was in Sephora. At this point I would say I have successfully resisted purchasing it. 😉

Last product you resisted? I am one of few remaining who have not given in to the ABH Modern Renaissance LOL. But, I’m sure it is only a matter of time before I give in. It’s a beauty.

Last product you resisted? A lot, really. Too Faced Born this way foundation is calling my name but I want to finish a couple of foundations before purchasing another one, with the exception of MUFE Face and body, which is still available in Spain. It’s my favorite foundation and I want to purchase a backup in case it is discontinued here too.
Your skin tone/coloring: Medium warm/golden/yellow although the Aussie summer has made me more tan than usual
Last product you finished? Maybelline Brow Satin in dark brown and Instant Age Rewind in medium. I’m also on the last legs of my Physicians Formula Bronze Booster in medium/dark and holy grail Milani Spice lip liner.
Last product you purchased? My Tarteist Pro eyeshadow palette arrived a few days ago so I’m super excited about that. I also ordered a Zoeva 232 brush with it. I made another big Zoeva haul which hasn’t arrived yet so I can’t remember what I ordered but Cocoa Blend and Caramel Melange were in it. Also got the Drunk Elephant B-Hydra last week.
Last product you resisted? I am in need of a new primer and I’ve been trying a few out so temptation will not be resisted for much longer. On my mind are the Hourglass Mineral Veil and Smashbox one. I successfully resisted the ABH Master by Mario but I think I regret not getting it now. I have also resisted buying any MUG single eyeshadows but will probably also cave soon as I want to make a custom palette of transition shades and will do so once I make up my mind about which Colourpop and ABH ones I want too. I’ve also wanted a Juliette Has a Gun fragrance for years now!

Last product I resisted: Armani Lip Lacquer in the holiday LE shade. I had bought one of the permanent ones and fell in love with the formula. Thr LE shade is cool dusty pink with amazing sophisticated shimmer, the same as in the holiday eyeshadows.
