Best face mask?: Korres wild rose + vit c sleeping facial
Best face serum?: Ole Henrinksen truth serum vit c
Best acne treatment?: I’ve always had hormonal acne– as a teen and as an adult UGH–SO I see a dermatologist for treatment. Retin A miro, clindamycin and benzoyl peroxide 5% help me. When I’m on BC pills my skin is pretty clear, too. I’ve never found any other treatments helpful, especially many of the OTC.
Your skin tone/coloring: Dark/Deep NW48
Best face mask? Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay
Best face serum? Visionnaire Advanced Skin Corrector
Best acne treatment? Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment
Your skin tone/coloring: NW20/25
Best face mask: Lush Mask of Magnaminty
Best face serum: I haven’t found a life-changing one yet 🙁
Best acne treatment: Retin-A Gel 0.01%

Best face mask? Karuna is my recent favorite as sheet mask. Best mud/cleansing mask: Lush Mask of Magnimity, Glam Glow

Best acne treatment? The BodyShop tea tree oil.
Skintone/Coloring: Fairly light, very neutral; dark-featured.
Mask: Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay.
Serum: I just use natural oils under my moisturizer. I’m currently using Shea Moisture Baby Oil Rub, which is a medley of argan, shea, & jojoba oils, among many others. I get all the benefits of the “good” skin-loving ingredients without any chemicals, which defeat the purpose…
Acne Treatment: I’ve never had an acne “problem”, but for the occasional pimple, I dab a bit of tea tree oil directly on it.
I’ve spent lots of money on “luxury” skincare over the years, but never found any to work any better than all natural products, which not only work better, and are cheaper, but never caused any adverse reactions. Plus, I benefit from applying the “good stuff” directly to my skin.

Your skin tone/coloring: light to light-medium with yellow undertones (except I feel like I’m having a bit of a tone crisis now – am I actually neutral?! I don’t know!)

Best face mask? Paula’s Choice Skin Balancing Oil-Absorbing Mask and Dermalogica Skin Refining Masque
Best face serum? Cellex-C Advanced-C Serum and Jan Marini Age Intervention Retinol Plus.
Best acne treatment? Salicylic acid works very well for me. Jan Marini Bioglycolic Bioclear Lotion has completely changed my skin! I also like Paula’s Choice Weekly Retexturizing Foaming Treatment 4% BHA. Pure tea tree oil directly on the breakout makes it dry out and heal so much faster.
Skin tone: fair, neutral leaning yellow; blend of Dior 011 and 021
Mask: Fresh Rose mask
Serum: Tsubaki oil from Boscia; O12 Rose oil from Ren
Blemish: Peter Thomas Roth anything.
I love Boscia’s Tsubaki oil – it’s such a great product but I didn’t list it because I’m never sure if an oil counts as a serum. But it is such a lovely product.
fair – nw10-15ish
Best facial mask – right now I am absolutely loving Glamglow Thirstymud as an overnight hydration mask. I wake up with plump clear glowing skin. I have not found the results to be long lasting, but when I want to guarantee great looking skin the next day this would be my go to.
I also love full fat natural yogurt and honey with fresh strawberries. It sounds odd, but it immediately fixes any dullness and I find that does last. I do this mask twice a week.
Serum – I’ve tried so many it’s sad to think of the money spent (and wasted). I haven’t found one yet that made me shout “holy grail”.
Acne – no acne / I find if i get one or anything that might be red or rash like my moisturizer zaps it overnight.
Your skin tone/coloring: Deep, MAC NW45

Best acne treatment? I use one of Biore’s exfoliators and Cetaphil’s face wash for normal to oily skin with my Clarisonic Mia, and that keeps my skin very clear. When I do get a pimple, oddly enough, the only thing that kills it is white toothpaste. I’ve tried products from all price ranges, yet toothpaste out of all things does it for me.
Your skin tone/coloring: Dark neutral
◾Best face mask? Queen Helene’s Mint Julep mask
◾Best face serum? Aveda tourmaline serum

Best acne treatment?: Mario Badescu drying lotion
Your skin tone/coloring: Medium-deep to deep with yellow undertones
Best face mask?: Clinique Acne Solutions. I’ve tried many masks, and they honestly have never done much for me, but this is the best of my limited expectations of simply refreshing my face and temporarily reducing oil.
Best face serum?: Any one from Paula’s Choice!
Best acne treatment?: The best treatment for me has simply been to get a proper routine. No fragrance, irritating ingredients, or denatured alcohol in any of my products. Cleanse, exfoliate with a BHA, moisturise, and SPF daily! Benzoyl peroxide to spot treat. This has cleared ALL of my very bad acne except for hormonal bouts.
Skin tone: Medium Deep with Golden Undertones.
Best Face Mask: Glamglow Supermud Clearing Treatment. This is perfect for breakouts, spot treating, clearing pores, the best!!
Best Face serum: Time In A Bottle from Philosophy. Perfect for evening skin tone, minimizing the appearance of pores, resurfacing.
Acne treatment: Murad Clarifying Cleanser partnered with the Acne Clearing Solution. The cleanser will clear up breakouts in just a few days, shorter time if they’re not that bad. The Clearing Solution is great for after washing to treat the trouble spots (Cheeks where blush is applied, forehead, etc.).

Your skin tone/coloring: Fair/neutral
Best face mask? Origins Clear Improvement (the charcoal one) or the GlamGlow one that exfoliates
Best face serum? Derma-E firming serum w/DMAE
Best acne treatment? Prescription spironolactone. Have also had luck with Duac topical and antibiotics. I don’t mess around with OTC products if I break out anymore.
Your skin tone/coloring: Very fair with neutral undertones, but lots of redness. Best shade matches are Revlon Colorstay Oily/Combo in Ivory.
Best face mask? Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay Mask made with raw apple cider vinegar. Paula’s Choice moisturizing mask for overnight when my skin is feeling dehydrated (almost every night in fall/winter)
Best face serum? At the moment I use Derm E’s Evenly Bright Vitamin C serum every night. I really want to try Laneige’s water bank serum
Best acne treatment? The clay mask above or the Vit C serum works well to reduce the size of pimples that pop up during the day. If it’s a really nasty breakout I use Neutrogena’s 2.5% benzyl peroxide cream.
Your skin tone/coloring: Very fair (neutral)
Best face mask? I haven’t found any face masks (marketed as such) that haven’t broken out my sensitive skin. If I need a little extra glow, I just pack on a thick cream (like Cetaphil’s or Cerave) and let it sit for awhile.
Best face serum? Olay Regenerist Regenerating Serum–it’s lightweight, cheap, and gets rave reviews from Paula’s Choice. I hope they never discontinue it.
Best acne treatment? Differin + Tazorac + Epiduo + Clindamycin + Spironolactone (in various combinations) helped kick my moderate teenage acne to the curb. I can stay relatively spot-free now with Clean & Clear’s Sensitive Foaming Cleanser + Paula’s Choice BHA 2% + preventative care (restricted dairy intake–it’s a huge acne trigger for me). Clearasil’s 10% benzoyl peroxide cream works well for spot treatments, though it does make me awfully flaky.
Your skin tone/coloring: Light-medium cool toned
Best face mask? My Beauty Diary’s black pearl face mask
Best face serum? Mizon’s snail repair intensive ampoule
Best acne treatment? Paula’s Choice 2% BHA liquid
Your skin tone/coloring: NC20
Best face mask? La Praire Cellurar Hydrating mask which is VERY expensive but it literally changes your life.
Best face serum? Caudalie SOS Thirst Quenching Serum
Best acne treatment? I’ve had acne and no treatment cured it. If I could give advice to girls who are dealing with acne it would be:
1) cleanse your face morning and night (don’t just remove your makeup, use a cleansing balm afterwards)
2) Hydrate your skin and don’t be afraid of oils.
3) Use clay masks
4) Do NOT use aggressive treatments targeted for acne
5) Pay attention to what you are eating, there might be something you’re intolerant to (for me it’s lactose)
Hope this helps somebody.
