Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Do you do anything to shape your brows? I just tweeze the stragglers but don’t do anything to change the shape – I figure nature got it pretty right
Do you fill in your brows? Once in a while, I do. My favourite product is the ABH brow powder that comes with 2 shades in the compact but I also have 2 jars of Dip Brow (2 different colours) but I find it much more fiddly to use and I always worry about ending up with Groucho Marx eyebrows! I’ve got Boy Brow from Glossier and it is very subtle – too subtle, to be honest.
Do you set your brows? I do have a clear ABH brow gel (a mini that is clear) but don’t find that it really does much, I guess because my brows aren’t that unruly.

Do you do anything to shape your brows? Minimal shaping. I hate my brows as following my chemotherapy they did not grow back as full and in addition to large gaps they are quite high on my forehead. I mean, I have a perpetual look of surprise on my face! I have given thought to microblading but don’t think I will do it.
Do you fill in your brows? Yes, I use a combination of a brow powder and the MAC brow pen in the shade Fling. I am thinking to get the lighter shade though,
Do you set your brows? Yes, I do. I use the Benefit Brow Setting gel.

Hi Deborah,
A friend had the same brow issue after chemo and says microblading is the best thing she’s ever done. I laughed so hard at “perpetual look of surprise” that I woke the cat and received her patented glare of doom. I have the opposite problem, with brows so unruly they need to be waxed every 2 weeks to prevent them from taking over my face and so full that any pencil/powder makes me look like a super villian! I just use the strongest clear brow gel I can find and hope to get a few hours before they fall back to where they want.

Do you do anything to shape your brows? Tweezing excess brow hairs that would interfere with how my eye makeup would apply, and I also use safety scissors to trim pesky longer than ideal length brow hairs.

Do you fill in your brows? Yes, I use the Nyx Micro Brow Pencil (it’s EXACTLY like the one by ABH!), and then I usually use a little bit of Elf Dark Brown powder for a little extra filling, especially for the skimpy tails. The 70’s and 90’s skinny brow trends ruined my tails and also caused much excess hairs growing on my hoods!

Do you set your brows? No, not a step that I would want to add except for special occasions when I want a laminated effect. In which case, that little Elf brow quad has brow soap in clear and brown included with two shades of powder.

Do you do anything to shape your brows? I go to a nearby threading salon once 2-3 weeks, depending how fast my brows grow; the ladies there also trim the longer hairs. I do not trust myself to shape my brows in any shape or form (pun absolutely intended).

Do you fill in your brows? Yes, I prefer classic or tear shaped pencils, nothing thin. I am odd… thicker tips give me more precision. 😆

Do you set your brows? Yes, I prefer tinder brow setting products, I can use even when I don’t fill them in.

Do you do anything to shape your brows? No, not really. I don’t think I have any talent whatsoever to shape my brows – they would probably end up lopsided or something if I tried to do that.

Do you fill in your brows? Yes I do, I use a blond/taupe eye pencil to fill in my brows because they are greyish and it doesn’t suit me – they are almost invisible against my pale complexion otherwise.

Do you set your brows? No, I tried that and I found the gel like substance awful and it made my eyebrows look unnatural.

Your skin tone/coloring: Very fair, cool undertone (I glow in the dark!)

Do you fill in your brows? No, it makes me look like a super villian bc they’re so dark & full
Do you set your brows? Yes – I would use clear cement if it was invented as my brows refuse to stay in place for more than an hour, no matter what brow gel I’ve tried. The new ABH Brow Freeze, however, is pretty good, giving me abt 5 hrs before they fall.

I’m blessed with nicely shaped brows, but they’re 50 years old and aren’t as defined as they were when I was younger.
So these days, I use a spoolie to brush them straight up, then fill them in with a matte medium cool brown Inglot eyeshadow.
Though my oil glands are stuck in the ’80s, my brows stay looking nice all day; maybe it’s good quality eyeshadow. 🤔
Also, I use a lash/brow serum nightly.

Do you do anything to shape your brows? I tweeze stragglers but I haven’t had them professionally shaped in years
Do you fill in your brows? About 70% of the time when I do eye makeup. I think my eyebrows are pretty okay on their own. I like to use eyebrow products though, like brow pomade and brow gel.
Do you set your brows? I’m not really sure, but I do use brow gel sometimes? Do people use powder on their brows? I never have.

I have mine waxed every month or so, but I don’t think they are actually getting shaped, just getting rid of the stragglers and making them even. I don’t dare do them myself. Chemo has left me with a hand tremor at times. I don’t typically use any product on them. I have been thinking about going to one of the Benefit Brow stations at Ulta and asking what their recc for proper shaping would be

Your skin tone/coloring: fair neutral olive

Do you do anything to shape your brows? My brows are still recovering from high school in the 90s, LOL. They have grown in decently but I don’t have to shape them hardly at all, just a stray hair once every 6 months.

Do you fill in your brows? I mostly just fill in a few bare spots that just won’t fill in on their own. My left tail is more sparse than the right so i even them out. I prefer a more feathery look

Do you set your brows? Most definitely. They are beyond stubborn. I use Got 2 Be hair glue! It does NOT move, it’s great, inexpensive and will last me a lifetime.
