Favorite mauve lipstick? TooLips from Colourpop or I’m mixing Stone & Diva from Mac and it gives me the perfect mauve.
Favorite shimmery lip gloss formula? I don’t have a shimmery gloss yet.

Favorite mauve lipstick? Colourpop Lumiere Lippie Stix and MUFE Artist lipstick in C211 (both pull very mauve on me)
Favorite shimmery lip gloss formula? I haven’t found one yet, but I do love the Fenty Glossbomb and Marc Jacob Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer in Rebel Rebel
Lipstick you love but rarely wear? The Ulta Brand Matte Lipstick in Burnt Red (because it’s a very late-summer / fall shade) and my Bite Beauty Lipsticks (most of which are also very fall).

Favorite mauve lipstick? I find mauves look too purple, and not in a flattering way. I think Bite Pepper is the closest I get to flattering mauve
Favorite shimmery lip gloss formula? Marc Jacobs gloss
Lipstick you love but rarely wear? NARS Audacious in Mona – beautiful brown-red, but a little too dark for me to wear every day

Favorite mauve lipstick? High end-Estee Lauder Electric Mauve, Mid-Kat Von D Lovecraft, Drugstore-Elf Tea Rose. Mauves and Pinks are my favorite ranges!! It’s hard to pick just one!
Favorite shimmery lip gloss formula? Ulta’s Shiny Sheer Lip gloss in Bare. It’s not SUPER shimmery, but I put it over a lot of the long wear formulas to get an awesome shine.
Lipstick you love but rarely wear? I love the rich berry colors but rarely wear them because of my pale skin tone.

Shimmery lipgloss formula: I rarely use lipgloss and only own one, so can’t compare. It’s a peachy RPG one I used to use to tone down a bright pink lipstick I had.
I pretty much use all my favorite lipsticks pretty frequently.
UD Rapture is beautiful. I should have added it to my “Lipstick you love but rarely wear” answer.

I have Rapture but I don’t think of it as mauve….to me, it’s more of a berry shade. I think of mauve as more purple-y.
Looks like Temptalia classifies it as plum! I guess I think of it as more mauvey than most of my other lipsticks, but it’s definitely not as mauve as my favorite mauve eyeshadows.
Same here. Definite berry/plum on me. I tend to think of mauves as slightly-to-very-greyed pinkish purples.

Favorite mauve lipstick? I have a lot of mauves and my favorites change all the time. My mauve du jour is NARS Velvet Lip Glide in Roseland.
Favorite shimmery lip gloss formula? I only have one that would fit this category: Fenty Universal Gloss Bomb Lip Luminizer. I kind of regret buying it because I’m not getting any use out of it.

Rouge D’Armani in Kimono, Chanel Rouge Coco in Mademoiselle, Dior Addict Lip Glow in Berry, Estée Lauder Pure Color Envy in Intense Nude, Laura Mercier Velour Lovers in Boudoir, and the following MAC lipsticks: Craving, Verve, Whirl, Modesty, Creme in Your Coffee, Heroine, Men Love Mystery, Chili, Lady Bug, and Lady Danger.
“So many lipsticks and so little time” cracked me up. I feel you with this question. Even after decluttering, (and then buying more) I still have well over 200! At this point it is an addiction and I probably need an intervention. I just purchased 4 more this week, help!!!
Ok, I feel better that I’m not alone in this obsession. I haven’t counted lately, but it’s definitely more than 125. And I keep buying them, too.
Do either of you use dupe lists more like shopping lists like I do? LMAO
One way I use the dupe list for shopping is if I dislike the formula of a lipstick I bought, but I still love the shade. An example of that is when I bought the beautiful MAC shade Flat Out Fabulous, but I couldn’t stand the super dry Retro Matte finish, so I checked the Temptalia dupe list and bought the lusciously formulated NARS Audacious Lipstick in Stefania.

Lipstick you love but rarely wear? If I love it, I wear it regularly.
Skin tone: Very fair with cool undertones, white/grey hair and brown eyes.
Favorite mauve lipstick: Mauves are right in my wheel house so I have a lot and picking one would be like picking a favorite child but a couple of favorites are KVD Lovecraft, (don’t love the formula or feel of this one but color is stunning), ABH Liquid Lip is Dusty Rose which is a pink mauve but pulls very mauve on me, Bobbi Brown Creamy Matte lipstick in Pink Mauve, ColourPop Lippie Stick in Lumiere and Lancome Juicy Shaker in I Like to Mauve It, are a few I really like.
Favorite Shimmery Lip Gloss: Until this past year I haven’t been much of a lip gloss type of person but recently I have purchased quite a few. However, I have had one in my collection for quite a while and still use it a lot. It is a gloss that I have purchased a couple of times, which for me is saying quite a bit. It is Elizabeth Arden Luminous Lip Gloss and you guessed it, the shade is Red Door Red. First purchased this in 2015 maybe and have gone through 2 tubes and on my third now.
Lipstick I love but rarely wear: The first one to jump to mind is the lipstick that was my most expensive for quite a while and I probably didn’t wear it a lot because I was fearful of using it up. It is the perfect pink shade for my coloring and is Lipstick Queens Velvet Rope in the shade, Private Party.
Mauves can be tricky on my skintone but lately I have fallen in love with Urban Decay’s Tampered. I also like MAC’s Craving and Captive and Plumful, and Bite’s Barberry.
Favorite shimmery lipgloss formula: Just about anytime Lancome has made a shimmery gloss over the past 20 years, they have done an outstanding job. I also love Bobbi Brown’s super shimmery formula and Bare Minerals.
Lipstick I love but rarely wear: MAC Tenor Voice.

Mauves can be tricky on me too. I’m close to your skin tone. I’m going to check out the ones you mentioned. I too, love the lipglosses you mentioned. They’re really amazing.

Favorite shimmery lip gloss formula? I don’t *love* any of the shimmery glosses I currently own, but I have a feeling i’d love ColourPop’s new shimmery glosses. I never dipped my toes into Bobbi Brown’s super shimmery glosses—I’ve wanted Naked Plum for ages!
Lipstick you love but rarely wear? Kat Von D Adora. Like the OG from like 10 years ago lol I wouldn’t use it now. Just keep it around for collection sake.

Your skin tone/coloring: Medium w/ olive undertones, MAC NC37, Lancome Teint Idole 24H Foundation N360, deep brunette, blue-green eyes w/ gold flecks.
Favorite mauve lipstick? That’s a hard one to decide! The ones that look best on me and make me feel good while wearing them are as follows: MAC Mehr, UD Tampered and PMG She’s Heaven Luxetrance. Not sure if anyone else would call She’s Heaven a “mauve” or not, though.
Favorite shimmery lip gloss formula? MAC Lipglass and Bite Lip Creme are tied for me! I also love every Fenty lip gloss I have ever bought, too. So, I guess it’s a 3-way tie.
Lipstick you love but rarely wear? All my beautiful super cheery, bright shades that I just haven’t been in the mood to wear this spring and summer. Ie; MAC La Vie En Rouge, Lady Danger, UD Tilt, Jawbreaker, and PMG Candy Flip. I do still love them, though!

I don’t wear shimmery lip gloss ever, but my favorite lip gloss ever is Clinique Chunby Plump & Shine Liquid Lip Plumping Gloss in Powerhouse Punch. It’s amazing and definitely makes my lips look bigger. My two favorite mauve lipsticks are Urban Decay Backtalk Vice Lipstick and NARS Sheer Lipstick in Rosecliff. A lipstick I love and rarely wear is Bobbi Brown Nourishing Lip Color in Blush. My skin tone/coloring is porcelain with neutral undertones.
lt-med cool, old kgd 013, ~NW 15-20. (Grabs the mauve bag, which I have isolated. The only HG I like, Mood light is in there, both the blush and the ALP. And the MUFE pencil in Worldly Mauve, which is a must, if you’re into mauves.) Well, there’s Thistle and Star Anise in there. Nyx Maison may join them. But my fave, since you can include VLGs, has to be Paradise Garage. Don’t like pinky mauves as much as greigey mauves. (Deborah: in the matte sticks ABH Dusty Rose and Resin are 95-98% dupes on me. Almost a straight up gray. No one know, if I wear one on each lip, or even left and right sides, they are so close on me, lol.) Mars and Xenon VLGs are good mauves as well. Think I bought every one in that review here on T. I also love/have most of the ones mentioned today. Mauve is as far as I go towards pink, and usually the lightest shade that looks good. So, mauves are ON for summer. rarely wear shimmer glosses. Love, but seldom wear: Bite Kale.

Deb, if it’s any help, Thistle and Star Anise are from BITE and Xenon and Mars are “Velvet Lip Glosses” from NARS. I was also confused by the abbreviations and short cuts in some of these posts (I think I asked kjh a while ago to clarify some others she mentioned but she may not be receiving replies to her posts, as Christine explained that the rules have changed) but I did a quick search of Sephora’s site to get a few answers, at least.
I can only help with Thistle and Star Anise (they are both from Bite).
I assumed that Mood Light was an Hourglass blush (as per mauve in her stash) but i’m just as curious to know what ALP & VLG stand for as well.

Lipstick you love but rarely wear? Besame’s Matte orange/red shade. I love the colour, but it goes on really thick and I am not such a matte lipstick fan.
Neutral medium beige with a tan at the moment.
I don’t think I’ve found one as I’m not sure that Mauve looks good on me.
Smashbox though I don’t own any at the moment. Am using a Buxom one at the moment but not a huge fan of the tingling sensation.
