Medium Warm (MAC NC30)
Most worn lip: I can’t do the whole season, I change products nearly everyday. But i have been wearing my YSL Volupte Tint in Oil in #6 nearly everyday for the past week. It’s a perfect natural way to add a touch of color, shine and health when I am going for a minimal makeup look.
Most used foundation: I would have to say Guerlain’s BB, but I have been trying multiple new foundations in between, such as Cover FX Power Play, Fenty Pro Filter, and Doir’s Backstage. I’m actually kinda in foundation hell right now: trying to find the right formula (some days my skin is greasy and other days dry, as in radical changes during the same week), the right color (just shoot me, please), and something that isn’t bad for my skin (I wish I had never found out that foundation can be bad for your skin, I feel like I’ve fallen down the rabbit hole reading all the pro-silicone/anti-silicone arguments). Would somebody please just tell me what foundation will help with both dry and oily skin, provide a satin finish, light to medium coverage, and a medium color that isn’t too neutral or to warm, all while being nourishing to my skin?!?!?
Blush: This has definitely been the summer of Tom Ford Love Lust (original formula).

What blush have you used the most this summer? it’s a toss up between Dior Rosy Glow and MAC Sweet Sentiment (LE from 5 or more years ago, I think)
Good for you…I love my natural gray hair! I get compliments all the time…people even ask me where I had it done! Gray hair with fuchsia lipstick is a gorgeous combination, too.
Well, here’s hoping. I’m so pale so it’ll be interesting to see if the white hair (I think it’s going to be mostly white) will suit me. It looked wonderful on my beloved Auntie Rose, whose hair was white from a young age and it’s all I ever knew – she looked terrific but me….it remains to be seen but if it is flattering, then I get to plan what to do with all the money I’ll be saving!
I hadn’t really thought about it much but your comment about fuchsia lipstick looking good with grey or white hair is probably why i prefer to wear deeper more saturated colors. I can’t find a MLBB shade anyway, but if I did, I think it would make my whole face look a bit drab. I seem to need the brighter lipstick to balance everything out.

I am 10 weeks into my grey transition and I’m feeling very weak! (The longest I’ve ever made it was 15 weeks.) It seems like a good idea until I have about 2-3 inches of dull salt and pepper hair, and then I just can’t take it anymore. What is your stylist doing to help you make the transition?
Tammy, I’ve had highlights and low lights for years to try to “stretch” the time between colouring appointments but now, Fran is starting to let bits at the front, around my face, grow in and she’s put lots more highlights there than usual so the colour difference isn’t too drastic. She put a smile on my face when she said “I’ve put some blond highlights there to blend in with your sparklies” (that’s her term for the grey – far less depressing). So it is a process and it will be a fairly long one, I guess and it’s anyone’s guess as to whether I’ll get fed up and go back to the 3 colour process I was having. I have the feeling I might look dreadful with grey hair (I think it’s mostly salt from what I can tell when I look at my root regrowth, and I’m so pale to start with, so it might not be the best look).
I think it is looking really pretty on you, Tammy. I have to admit to being a little biased but I think natural is the way to go. Your hair is so healthy, curly and shiny that I think it will be stunning as it continues to grow in. Just my opinion, of course. One thing about it, if you don’t like it you can always go back!!
I had a sudden change in hair color due to chemotherapy about 18 years ago. My hair was naturally strawberry blond, very wavy and had lots of body. I got it freshened about every 6 weeks from the time I was 20 as I started getting grey hair in my late teens. My paternal grandmother went completely white when she was 17. Long story short, when I had chemo my hair grew back very curly (initially then lost all curl and body), very grey/white and with little body. I was 45 at the time. My whole family encouraged me to colour my hair back to my original colour. During my year long treatment I did a lot of reading and got a little scared to continue to use chemical colours, treatments etc. so I declined. I didn’t look like myself when I looked in the mirror. But, I realized, I am not that person any longer and I knew that if I started colouring again I would have to keep it up. I have come to terms with it now and really don’t mind the salt and pepper. My hair in front is mostly white but still pretty salt and pepper in back. Now that I am 18 years out I don’t have quite the same heightened concern about the chemicals in hair colour so probably wouldn’t bother me to do it now but I think it looks a little odd when women are in their 60’s and 70’s and have no grey hair. That is just my personal feeling. Of course, we are all free to do what makes us comfortable. What is bothering me a lot more than my white/grey hair is my visibly thinning hair. I think because I was bald for so long the idea of losing my hair again makes me very upset.
Anyway, I am sure your hair will look lovely.

What Foundation : I haven’t really worn foundation. Only a little concealer. Maybelline Fit Me and set it with Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Ethereal. Sometimes I’ve worn a Bobbi Brown BB Cream if I’m outside for awhile.
What blush: I’ve used the Laura Geller Hollywood Blushing Trio. Mainly Pink Grapefruit or Bora Bora. Also I’ve worn NARS Madly a lot.
Your skin tone/coloring: Light neutral skin tone, green eyes, salt & pepper hair
What lip products have you used the most this summer? Since I wear a different lipstick every day, I don’t think there is one I can single out as most used. But three lip products that I use on a regular basis are: Urban Decay Ultimate Ozone Pencil (for lipsticks that bleed), MAC Prep + Prime Lip (for matte lipsticks), and Aquaphor Lip Repair (every night as part of my skin care routine).

I only own one foundation at a time and these past 6 months I have used the Maybelline Superstay Full Coverage foundation; great everyday foundation that can be sheered down or build-up, but oxidizes like crazy… good thing I went lighter. I’m actually pumping the last drops. 😆
What blush have you used the most this summer? MAC Springsheen (peach with golden shimmer just yells summer)
Skin tone: Very fair with cool undertones, grey hair and dark brown eyes.
Most used lip product this summer: I use Nuxe Lip Balm every night and at times during the day but it is really a staple in my routine year around. I think my most used lip this summer has been L’Oreal Shine as a formula and the most used shade is Varnished Rosebud. My favorite shade is Map To Nirvana and will be wearing that in Europe as it is a darker shade.
Most used foundation this summer: I have been swapping out foundations pretty much every few days this summer trying to figure out what I am taking on my vacation. I am mixing and trying different combinations. My most used overall has been Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet and right now it is looking like that is what I will probably be taking with me. It is very travel friendly as it comes in a very small plastic bottle. I have also tried and liked By Terry Duo Sticks.
What blush have you worn the most: CYO Blusher in Strong Words. Although I do have a new favorite and it is the Sulwhasoo Radiant Pink Blush.

What foundation have you used the most this summer? On humid days I usually go with Lancome Teint Idole 24H Foundation. It holds up pretty nicely. On days that run hotter and dryer, I use MAC Studio Sculpt in NC37. It looks flawless as a shade match! So much so, that my therapist who used to work as a MUA told me she could tell I was using something different than usual, because it looked like my actual skin, not foundation.
What blush have you used the most this summer: A toss up between Nars Fetishised, Essence Satin Love and Becca Hibiscus Bloom. Although when I go with a purple or plum hued lip, I use UD Noho.
Your therapist’s comment says a lot about the texture of the foundation as well, I think.
Probably true, Alecto! Studio Sculpt has a somewhat dewy and luminous finish to it, as opposed to the more matte finish on Lancome Teint Idole. Also, it applies more like a well pigmented BB/CC Cream instead of foundation. Only catch? It doesn’t do well on a humid day!
Skin: fair-cool toned, eyes-grey, hair-dark blonde
Lip: Tatcha Goldspun Camellia Balm
Foundation: None, just a little undereye concealer as needed

I don’t usually remember to use lip products, but generally I use the Bite Beauty Magnetic Matte Lip Pencils in Boho or Greystone.
For foundation, I have alternated between The Ordinary’s Full Coverage Foundation, L’oreal Lumi Foundation, and Too Faced’s BB Cream (this has been discontinued in my shade).
I general don’t use blush but if I do I use the Milani Baked Blush in Rose d’oro!

Lips for this summer were: American Doll Liquid lipstick by Anastasia with Mac Goldfinch lipgloss over it, Carina liquid lipstick by Anastasia, Nickis nude by Mac with Mac Goldfinch lipgloss over it, Buxom lip polish in Celeste and London Fog ny Colourpop.
I do not wear foundation but I wear Mac Studio finish concealer and cover Fx correct stick in orange over my dark Italian circles lol
I also don’t wear blush much but if I do I grab Paaarty by Tarte or Mac Blush in all day
NW15-20 /Cool to neutral
Most worn lip products this summer: Dior Lip Tattoo in 351 Natural Nude, Lancôme L’Absolu Lacquer in 315 Energy Shot and Bite Beauty Lip Tint in Juice (perfect as it replaces the balm, nourishes the lips and adds colour). It has been and still is very hot and super humid here in Montreal, to the point that I can’t use most of my usual lipsticks (they melt in a matter of minutes when outside).
Most used foundation: Suntegrity 5 in 1 Tinted Sunscreen + Bare Minerals Mineral Foundation (powder). Again, I can’t use anything other than powder because of the crazy weather.
Most used blush: Becca Hibiscus Bloom and my recent discovery since Jouer became available in Canda (Sephora website): Jouer Duo Blush in Adore. I’ve been using this duo non stop for the past two weeks (both colours combined) and I absolutely love this combo!
Your skin tone/coloring: deep with yellow undertones
What lip product have you used the most this summer? Maybelline matte blush brown or bareminerals neutral gloss. I haven’t really reached for anything else.
What foundation have you used the most this summer?tarte Amazonian clay 12 hour. I love the coverage this foundation gives and it easily sheers out for days when you don’t need much. The best thing about this foundation is it doesn’t break down on those 100 degree days in South Carolina.
What blush have you used the most this summer? I shopped my stash avid rediscovered Mac’s breath of plum. It gives me just the slightest color yet manages to really brighten up my face. I have been loving it.

Most Used Blush – I’ve been enjoying the combo of Ilia Highlight (Cosmic Dancer) and Bronzer (forgot the name) and it seems to give the best glow-y amazing-looking skin.
