Favorite product this month? Probably my Farmacy Skin Dew Hydrating Essence Mist & Setting Spray! My skin has been dry this month, so this was a good help.
Most used face/cheek product this month? My Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-HR Blush in paaarty (the Sephora birthday gift!)
Most used eye product this month? My CoverGirl SuperSizer. I like how this makes my lashes look, but it is sooooo flaky.

I’ve been leaning more toward cream products this month as it gets warmer… I like how natural they look and how much nicer they look on my skin. I feel younger and fresher when I wear creams.

Karina Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: light with neutral undertones – NC15/20
Favorite product this month? Boots Botanicals Shine Away Day Cream with Willowbark SPF 15 – the smell of this reminds me of Living Proof hair products but it absorbs quickly into the skin and instantly mattifies.
Most used face/cheek product this month? Becca Compact Concealer in Praline (discontinued; I bought it from Hautelook)
Most used eye product this month? Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Brow Mousse in Medium Brown (HG brow product for me!)

I love those Konjac sponges! The other thing I like to alternate is the Eve Lom muslin cloths. Sometimes you need one, sometimes the other. 🙂

Skintone / coloring : light. NC 20, med brown hair and eyes

Favorite product: Bobbi Brown BB Cream Spf 35. Just feeling a lighter product now that it’s Spring. And Too Faced Bronzed & Poreless Matte Bronzer. Usually I don’t use bronzer but I’ve been in the mood lately

Most used face/cheek: Aside from the ones I’ve mentioned above, I’ve love my Lancome Blush Subtil in Miel Glace. It’s a subtle blush of course but it makes me feel elegant and just goes with everything!

Most used eye product : an eyeshadow primer from Disney collection at Walgreens. I’m on a mission to use up primers and primer samples. Also I’m trying to use up mascaras so I’m still working on Revlon Dramatic Definition Mascara. Also I’ve loved MAC’s Soba eyeshadow!

Erica Avatar

It’s definitely a blush I’m like where have you been all my life and why didn’t I know about you sooner. Subtle and so pretty. Makes me feel sophisticated!

Favorite product this month? surratt eyeshadows for sure

Most used face/cheek product this month? By Terry light and tan palette. I am late to this palette, but love it so much I ordered the new savannah one.

Most used eye product this month? Surratt eyeshadows. I can’t get enough of these and keep ordering more!

Skin tone: Medium Warm (MAC NC30, Giorgio Armani 5.75, Born This Way Natural Beige, Teint Idole Ultra 320 Bisque Warm)

Favorite product this month: I am loving my Tom Ford Bronzer brush (I was faithful to wear bronzer before I bought this brush but now I wouldn’t dare to miss any opportunity to feel this amazing brush against my skin), the Timeless 20% C + E + Ferulic acid serum (feels less sticky then the previous vitamin C serums I was using), and the Chanel Codes Elegants Quad. Honorable mention goes to the Viva Glam Miley Cyrus lipsticks and glosses in I and II–they are perfect for spring, and SO PRETTY!

Most used face/cheek product this month: I am straight up addicted Lancome’s Teint Idole Ultra foundation (it beat out Armani’s Luminous Silk!), my MAC 170 foundation brush (I own lots of foundation brushes, including the beloved Real Techniques and Wayne Goss and Shiseido, but the MAC 170 is my holy grail foundation brush), and the original Tom Ford Blush in Wicked.

Most used eye product this month: Kat Von D Pastel Goth–not because it’s the best thing ever–it’s pretty nice though–but because I am on a roll with creating pastel looks for spring.

Favorite product this month? Hourglass ALP in Ethereal; I’ve started using it to set my under-eye concealer
Most used face/cheek product this month? MAC Sweet Sentiment blush and Lise Watier Sun Smart (works amazingly as a primer and gives a good level of SPF while feeling pretty nice too)

BITE Sour Cherry and Gold Lipstick — sour cherry on one side and gold on the other. It was a holiday release, and I bought it on a flyer, never tested, on sale at Sephora. The first one broke, but I was able to exchange and I am glad to have it. I love this combo on me. Who knew?

Most used face/cheek product this month?
MAC Desert Rose blush. Sometimes I mix it with a little TF Wicked. I can’t help it. I love to mix blush and lip colors.

Most used eye product this month?

Jardins Éclatants

By Terry Sun Designer palette #2 (LE 2016) the highlighter is having a crater ! For once I’m going to hit pan on a make up product !
AB brow wiz

I’m enjoying the Benefit cheek parade palette. It has some defaults in the packaging : Galifornia doesn’t fit like other pans into the box. I’m not into cardboard packaging. But I don’t have benefit bronzer/blushes till now, so this palette is a good deal. It smells so so nice and the Galifornia blush is so pretty ! Love this palette.

When I have the time, I layer my highlighters, with thin layers of course, as many as I can, it’s fun !
I’m loving also the Chanel les beige healthy glow #2,
TF Solar exposure, Mary-Lou Manizer, and Becca JH face palette.

Your skin tone/coloring: Very Fair/Cool

Favorite product this month? This one is harder. I’ve been working from home, so my makeup has been a whole lot more minimal lately, if anything. I think I’ll go with the new By Terry Glow Expert Duo in Amber Light. It goes on beautifully; I’m thinking about getting other colors – not that I remotely need them.

Most used face/cheek product this month? Probably my Tom Ford terra bronzer. I’ve nearly killed the small size; it’s starting to crumble, so I’m not sure how much more I’ll be able to use it before I have to toss it. Bronze stripes and spots aren’t cute on anyone!

Most used eye product this month? Chantecaille Faux Cils mascara

Favorite product this month? Tarte Make Believe in Yourself Palette

Most used face/cheek product this month? Face: Lancome Teint Idole 24 H Long Lasting Foundation Cheek: Milani Rose Blush in Coral Cove

Most used eye product this month? UD Primer Potion; Medusa’s Make-up Witch Lash Mascara; Tarte eyeshadows in general (it’s been a very easy, neutral makeup month).

Your skintone/ coloring: Medium w/ olive undertones MAC nc37 or Lancôme Teint Idole in N 360, deep brunette, blue-green eyes w/ gold flecks.

Favorite product this month: Too many! Haha! EL Naked Truth lipstick, for a gorgeous shimmering nude pinky-peach. And my new HG foundation, Lancôme Teint Idole 24H in N 360 is PERFECTION!

Most used face/ cheek product this month: Easy! Lancôme Teint Idole Foundation! Oh, and those 2 beauties from my last CP haul: Might Be and Drop of A Hat!

Most used eye product this month: Still crazy about that MAC combo using Sweet Heat, Sable and Twinks! But I’m someone who changes up their eye look daily, so very few things see themselves set on rewind day after day. That combo, and Empriente du Desert occasionally DO get used twice in a week’s time!

Favorite product this month? Viseart Nuance eyeshadow palette. I skip the one dud in the set; otherwise loving the colors.

Most used eye product this month? Viseart Nuance palette.

Sorry, my computer is being a pain so I will start again!!
Skin tone: Pale with cool undertones, NW 5
Favorite Product this month: Loving the Dior highlighter in 02 Pink.
Most used face and cheek: My whole face routine has remained the same since I purchased the Cle de Peau foundation and concealer so those would be my most used. I have also been using Benefit blush in Dandelion a lot this month.
Most used eye product: I have been using the Ole Henriksen Vit C firming eye gel and the jury is still out on whether it is helping or not but I have been using it consistently for three weeks. I have had a marked change in my eye lids due to a Botox treatment for migraines. I received multiple Botox injections above the eyebrows and was told that there was a chance the Botox might migrate especially if I rubbed those areas so I was very careful not to touch the areas but it has apparently still migrated. I have always had a hooded lid but my lids did not rest against my lashes and now they do. I am really disappointed as I am likely going to have to take the injections for a very long time. If I could afford it I would get my lids lifted but that isn’t going to happen. So, I haven’t been enjoying my eye shadows much this month. I am sure I will get back to it once I figure out how to do my eyes with these significantly more hooded eyes!!

Tracey E. Avatar

Hi Deborah, I’m sorry to hear about the secondary effect of your Botox injections. Hopefully they help your migraines. I have hooded eyelids with lashes that press against them. I found that using a MAC 205 eyelash brush separates clumpy mascara AND lifts eyelashes. It’s been a godsend! I saw it on Christine’s recommended brush list. I also find eyeshadows in Charlotte Tilbury’s Legendary Muse palette and Tom Ford’s Eye and Cheek Palette in Warm look gorgeous on hooded eyes as does cream shadow in either brands. Best wishes with the injections and adapting your eye makeup to the after effects of the injections.

Deborah S. Avatar

Thank you for your suggestions, Tracey. I will pick up the brush and am looking for smaller eye brushes in general to help with more precise placement of shadows now that my lids are drooping!. I have what I use to consider smaller brushes but I think they actually make smaller ones so if anyone has any suggestions for smaller crease and blending brushes, I would love to hear. Thank you again.

Hi Pteetsa, I suffer from what are called Vestibular migraines or Basilar Type migraines. The symptoms of my migraines include the typical pain, sensitivity to light and nausea but also include vestibular symptoms. My symptoms range from being very dizzy, vertigo, ringing in the ears, visual changes, heightened startle reflex and a sensation like my brain is moving inside my skull. I don’t want to go into a lot of detail but suffice to say they are very debilitating. I had been migraine free for several years taking a medication called Elavil, (an antidepressant). I suffered a fall and my migraines return with nearly daily symptoms. I have tried typical medications, etc. The two most extreme treatments are Botox injections and Sphenoid cath treatments. My migraines have been refractory to traditional treatments. Botox as a migraine treatment has a peak effect at about 6-8 weeks so I have not reached that point yet. If they are having any effect it is minimal. But, there is a cumulative effect so may take a few treatments before I know if there is a positive outcome for me. The injections are given every 3 months and the injection didn’t bother me but for a person with needle anxiety, Botox would not be the way to go. I received approx. 44 injections around my scalp line and above my eye brows. Short answer, I don’t know yet how effective they will be. Hope this helps.

I have a fair, warm skin tone that is very oily with occasional breakouts.

My favorite product this month has been Peter Thomas Roth’s Hyaluronic Cloud Cream.

I haven’t worn any makeup in 3 weeks! Earlier this month I was doing yard work and got into some poison oak or poison ivy. It must have transferred from my gloves to my face because I had a terrible itchy rash line along my orbital bone near my eye! I didn’t want to chance irritating it further with makeup so I’ve been sticking mostly with soothing skincare.

Next week should be able to wear makeup again and I’m looking forward to trying out the Benefit Cheek Parade set I just got from Ulta and also Tarte Shape Tape.

Favorite product this month? an old LE liquid eyeshadow from a Sephora x Pantone collaboration from a few years ago, it’s a lilac with a green shift
Most used face/cheek product this month? MAC Tutu
Most used eye product this month? Cream and liquid eyeshadows in general. I still love a sophisticated eye look with 5-6 shades of powder shadows blended into each other, but for everyday looks I’m so happy with a wash of a single color in an easy-to-use formula!

Skin tone: porcelain with pink undertones
Favourite product of the month: Elizabeth Arden’s Goldmine lipstick – goes with everything.
Most used cheek/face product: Garnier BB Creme and Primer in light. I have been using it under my Rimmel’s Match Perfection foundation and it has worked out really well. It extends the life of the foundation (which is the major problem with this foundation) and it makes my skin feel really hydrated without being greasy.
Most used eye product: A toss up between Naked 1 (Darkhorse, Smog and Sidecar) and Shiseido’s Snow Shadow – the navy blue is the best around.

Dianne Avatar

Skin tone/coloring: Fair with neutral undertones, hazel eyes, dark blonde hair
Favorite product this month: Probably my Charlotte Tilbury Bitch Perfect lipstick. It’s been in my purse most of the month and I haven’t gotten tired of it yet.
Most used face/cheek product this month: MAC Nutcracker Sweet Peach Face Compact (Tutu highlighter and At Dusk blush). This has been a nice product to grab as the weather changes– the cheek color is bright and cheery without being obviously bright and summery.
Most used eye product this month? Dior 3 Couleurs Smoky Brown eyeshadow trio. I have had this in my collection for a long time and am trying to use it more. I really enjoy it for an everyday look.

Your skin tone/coloring: Medium with golden undertones (NC40)
Favorite product this month? Juvia’s Place Saharan Palette. The color selection and quality are beautiful.
Most used face/cheek product this month? Makeup Forever Mat Velvet. I’ve been testing different foundations for stage (I’m a dancer, so I need a very durable foundation), and this was the winner on my combination skin. It gives a nice, smooth finish that fills in my pores, doesn’t look dry, and lasts through sweat and movement.

Favorite product this month? UD One and Done! I’m almost at the end of my first tube, but I just started wearing it without moisturizer underneath and the finish and blendability is so much better.

Most used face/cheek product this month? My Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light. I use it everyday and it gives such a beautiful glow to my skin.

Most used eye product this month? My UD Naked Ultimate Basics Palette. Even if it’s not the main palette I use on my eyes, it is still a great supplementary palette.

Most used face/cheek product this month? Hard question, I’ve been rotating foundations, concealers and most face/cheek products, I think the only product that’s been used more than 10 days is Mary Lou
Most used eye product this month? Maybelline Master Precise liquid eyeliner

Favorite product this month?
Carli Bybel Deluxe Eyeshadow palette
First off, it’s quite affordable (BH Cosmetics), but when I started using it – I was shocked at the quality. It’s so so so so good!!!! The shimmers go on so smooth and foil-like without anything else (no base needed or glitter glue). The highlighters are so so so so nice. There’s an iridescent lavender that is so nice for the inner corner. All of the highlighters you can use as shadows as well. It’s become my palette that I can just bring on the go for everything: eyeshadow, highlight, and brows (I just use a brown shadow for my already thick brows). I highly recommend this!

Most used face/cheek product this month?
Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder – I really do like it for my under eyes. Use a very light hand. A little goes a long way.

Most used eye product this month?
Benefit Roller Lash & Grande Lash MD Serum
I tried using a few other mascaras just to finish them up, but I couldn’t deny how much better my lashes look with Roller lash.

I had eyelash extensions last year for a few vacations that I went on, and I stuck it out and kept my extensions for a few months afterwards. But I took them off and had stumpy thin lashes. I immediately started using Grande Lash MD, and within a month not only were my lashes back but they are longer than they were before. Amazing product and cheaper than Latisse and similar products.
