Your skin tone/coloring: Light neutral, green eyes, dark hair

Favorite product this month? Marc Jacobs Highliners

Most used face/cheek product this month? For the face, it was my usual Estee Lauder Double Wear and RCMA No Color Powder. I alternated between four different blushes this month, so there was no true “most-used” cheek product.

Most used eye product this month? MAC Kid and Vanilla eyeshadows, Tarte Lights Camera Lashes mascara, and Marc Jacobs Highliners

Your skin tone/coloring: Fair with neutral undertones and freckles

Favorite product this month? I got a sample of the First Aid Beauty Tinted Moisturizer, and while even the fair shade was too dark for me, I mixed it with my Missha BB cream and it was perfect! It has such a beautiful, glowy finish.

Most used face/cheek product this month? Becca Flowerchild Blush, with Becca shimmering skin perfecter in Vanilla Quartz (which, I’ve found is a slightly more glittery dupe for the KVD Metalcrush eyeshadow in Thunderstruck!)

Most used eye product this month? I broke down and purchased the ABH Soft Glam palette (to replace my Viseart Tryst palette) and I’m not ashamed to say that I really love it. Those mattes are just stunning. I love Sienna the most.

Skin tone: medium warm

Favorite products I’ve bought this month: NARS Narsisist Wanted Cheek Palette Volume 1, Becca Soft Light Blurring Powder, Pat McGrath platinum bronze palette, and Chanel Vibrante lipstick. (This is the preliminary favorites list, as it will take another month to really dive into all the new products I bought this month.)

Most used face products: Cover FX Power Play Foundation, Becca Soft Light Blurring Powder, NARS Wanted cheek palette volume 1, and NARS Forté de France highlighter.

Most used eye products: Viseart Petite Pro II (not because I liked it, but rather I was trying to make it work).

Tammy Avatar

I would recommend the NARS cheek palette without reservation! I have medium skin tone and worried I would have to build it up, but no, these colors are fabulously pigmented. Only the lavender shade is a bit too light, but I love the lavender shade as an eyeshadow transition shade, so all colors are winners for me. The highlighter shade is even lovelier than Forté de France. To me it is a warm palette that really looks spring-like, so if you don’t like warm or spring, it might not be your favorite. I loved the Unfiltered palettes so much, I knew I could not pass these up. The performance on these palettes are even better than my Unfiltereds. I don’t want to be an enabler, but if you are thinking about it and know you will use it, I would highly recommend!

Skin tone: Very pale with cool undertones.

Favorite product this month: NIOD Fractionated Eye Concentrate. I continue to use it along with my Dr. Dennis Gross Ferulic and Retinol eye serum. I use both twice a day and so far I am loving the improvement to the dryness under my eyes. About once a week I skip the NIOD as my lid gets a little “burnt” feeling so I think occasionally the two together is too strong but my skin mostly tolerates both really well. I am also spreading it up onto my elevens. Can’t hurt!!

Most used face/cheek product this month: Dior Snow Powder in 02. I also switched to the non-tinted Australia 50 Sunscreen and like it better. The tinted one works great for my daughter who has oily skin but it was super drying on my skin. The non-tinted doesn’t dry down matte and leaves my skin looking just slightly dewy.

Most used eye product: I haven’t been using any products, besides base products, consistently this month. I have used the Milani primer all month with the exception of a few days when I tried the Viseart primer but didn’t like that one at all. I have used a variety of palettes and singles this month. I have rotated through the Viseart Tryst palette, PUR Visionary palette, Dior LE Rise quint and several Nabla singles.

I’d disable it…and did, but forget quite why. McAfee himself does not use his anti-viral product as, ‘It’s too annoying.’ Direct quote. If you never saw/read about the gent’s adventures as a murder suspect in Belize, it’s a most Byzantine story. He may be a Mensa man, but he’s waaaaay out there, at the tail of the Bell curve, too. The program was maybe an NBC Dateline. You could always turn off for Zoeva, then turn back on.

Wednesday Avatar

Hmmm Belize.. it’s tweaking something in my head so I’ve come across the story, but can’t recollect all the deets.

I definitely need to take the plunge as both of my favourite eye pencils for brightening are Zoeva and they do not transfer on my hoods: Myth and The Truth are much coveted in my stash. I haven’t found pencils that are as bright and easy to apply and also do not budge. One other deserves recognition: ABH in a pale dirty gold can’t remember the name if there is one .. anyhooo Zoeva’s still pack a bigger punch ?

Favorite product this month? Lise Watier Multi Fini
Most used face/cheek product this month? Lise Watier Multi Fini and MAC Into the Pink
Most used eye product this month? Sephora Cookie Crunch and Fall Leaves eyeshadows, Cappuccino liner and (to my amazement) the darker side of NARS Cordura duo as a crease colour

Mariella Avatar

They are lovely, Genevieve, and, of course, they are now discontinued! I got Fall Leaves partly because of Temptalia’s Dupe List – I’d purchased the Anastastia Beverley Hills “Mario” palette and was looking for a dupe for one of the colours in there there that I really love (the pans are somewhat small) and it turned out that Fall Leaves was a dupe.

Lt to med, red u/ts. Favorite (new) this month: just took that page from Ms C’s reviews and ordered all 3 VLGs: Mars, Paradise Garage, Xenon. Adore that formula, and right up the mauved out shade family I favor. It’s as if fall colors were made spring, bec the depth and dark are gone, but the shades are atypical for spring pink, peach, corals that look awful on me. These are very yay! Face/cheek: the PV mauve and Lottie London Zac and Zayn seem to be the best with those VLGs. Aside from that, the bolder of this and last spring’s Nars blush palettes. Using a fair amount of CFX Cover Drops in belief aquabomb, as the Paula TM needs reordering. Eye: changing it up twice daily or nothing at all…

Your skin tone/coloring: Fair, neutral leaning cool.
Favorite product this month? I just got the Becca Light Waves palette and so far have tried Prismatic Amethyst and Moonstone from it, and they’re just what I was looking for. I already knew I liked the Becca formula and really wanted to try those shades.
Most used face/cheek product this month? A mix of Milk Liquid Blur Matte Foundation and Rimmel Lastig Finish 25 Hour Ulltra Breathable foundation to get the shade right. It’s been giving me a really nice natural finish on my combination skin.
Most used eye product this month? Glossier Boy Brow in blonde and Lancôme Monsieur Big. The mascara is not wowing me, seems pretty average.

Favourite product this month? I don’t really have one particular favourite – Sukin Chia Seed Oil for my face and their Cleansing Oil has been particularly good. The La Roche Posay Ultra light sunscreen has been a must too.

Most used face/cheek product this month? Still going on my Clarins Everlasting foundation in linen, as well as the Clarins Prodige Illuminating blush in Soft Peach.

Most used eye product this month? I have been trying to use all my different palettes, but I have been using my Lorac Pro Metals palette a lot, with Naked 1, bareMinerals The Wild Thing the most.

Genevieve Avatar

Hi Cheryl
I am 60+, basically I have a really good complexion, but at this age my skin is dry.
I find that the Chia Seed oil (and pure Argon oil from Physicians Formula) nourish my skin really well without leaving it oily.
I have tried the Rosehip oil, but the natural rose botantical fragrance, irritates my skin.
It is best applied after cleansing at night when your skin is reasonably damp and you rub a few drops in and massage it around your face. I find it is much better than serums, although I do use those too – after the oil has soaked into my skin.
It has no discernible fragrance and is very nourishing.
Goodness, a NZ brand (cruelty free like Sukin here in Aus) has chia seed oil too and is also excellent. I started using it when I got it in a sample bag at Priceline – a budget beauty shop in Aus. I use both the chia seed oil and the argon oil interchangeably and my skin has been much healthier and better for it.
My daughter in law, who is 31, loves the argon oil too.
You don’t need to buy the expensive Josie Maran oils, as Physicians Formula is just the same – if you are going down the argon oil route. Chia seed oil is, as far as I can tell, has the same effects as argon oil on me.
I will be using these two oils for the rest of my life I think.

Favorite product this month? I discovered I had a deluxe sample of Tarte Color Splash lipstick in Set Sail, and I’ve been enjoying it. It’s like a rosy brown on me.
Most used face/cheek product this month? I just finished the Cover FX mattifying primer, and I think I might repurchase it (when I get low on primers, so like 10 years from now).
Most used eye product this month? I started using the Bobbi Brown eye opening mascara. Still not sure how I like it, since I think it might be smudging on me a bit.

Favorite product this month? Mac studio fix fluid. I had shyed away from this foundation for so long because I heard it was heavy and cakey, but I find it to be such a beautiful medium-to-full coverage foundation. The shade NC10 is a bit off for me, but I can definitely make it work.

Most used face/cheek product this month? I’ve been loving my tarte blush bliss palette from their holiday 2017 collection.

Most used eye product this month? I’ve been rotating between a few palettes, but I’ve loved the looks I’ve created with the pur x boxycharm palette as well as the too faces peachy mattes palette.
