Favorite spring collection? I’ve never really been into “collections”, preferring to pick a favourite item here and there
Favorite spring makeup find? for this year, nothing so far, though I do like the Glazed Donut e/s from Sephora that I got recently (though it’s not really from a “spring collection”)
Favorite spring scent? probably Elizabeth Arden White Tea and also the new Burberry Body Tender that I got the other week.

Skin tone/coloring: Light neutral skin tone, green eyes, salt & pepper hair

Favorite spring collection: I’m still on my no-buy, but from what I’ve seen, the MAC Strip Down Collection is the one that piqued my interest the most. Although I already own 7 (!) of the lipstick shades in that collection, there are still several that I’d love to have. But I’m resisting.

Favorite spring makeup find: From that collection, I got Soar through a Back-to-MAC.

Favorite spring scent: I’ve been really into Origins Ginger Essence for the past couple of weeks. It’s very fresh and pretty.

Your skin tone/coloring: Above, with freckles, green/blue/gray eyes, warm brown hair.

Favorite spring collection? The Colourpop Sweet Talk collection and also their Disney Villains collection. So fun.

Favorite spring makeup find? Natasha Denona Bloom Blush & Glow palette and Patrick Ta lipgloss. They pair beautifully together and right now I can’t get enough of peach, coral and pink.

Favorite spring scent? Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom and Honey or Wood Sage and Sea Salt.

Favorite spring collection? hmm, I don’t know if any whole collection really impressed me this year.

Favorite spring makeup find? Lannister Gold eye liner form the UD Game of Thrones collection. I’ve been looking for a good gold eye liner that wasn’t really yellow/coppery for a while (I almost bought the whole hex remedy set for just the mini Space Dust pencil lol). As soon as it gets to Ulta I’m going to use my points to get it. The rest of the collection was meh to me though.

Favorite spring scent? I like fruity and green scents in the spring – my favorites are DKNY Be Delicious, Escada Cherry in the Air, Avon Haiku, Avon Forest Lily, and Fresh Fresh Life.

Medium warm: MAC NC 30, GA Lumious Silk 5.75

Favorite spring collection: The prettiest one I’ve seen is the Dior Spring 2019, but I didn’t purchase. My favorite launches of spring 2019 have been Viseart’s Liason and Coy Palettes and Chanel Rouge Coco Flash lipsticks.

Favorite spring makeup find: Those Chanel Rouge Coco Flash lipsticks are definitely my favorite thing at the moment. I have two and am preparing to order my next color. Also, I didn’t fully appreciate the Viseart Bridal Satin palette until this spring. Bridal Satin has so many wonderful soft colors to create gorgeous spring looks. I use it in conjunction with Ribbons Bohema when I want my look to be even more colorful.

Favorite spring scent: Chanel released Venice in spring of 2018, but I didn’t have the opportunity to try and then purchase it until 2019. I am wearing it today. Topnotes are Orange, lemon and lime. Middle notes are Neroli, geranium and rose. Base is vanilla and Tonka bean, with violet and white musk at the end. What makes this special is that none of the notes dominate. This fragrance is not citrusy, floral, sugary, musky or woody. This is a situation where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. It is a well-balanced, soft, and lovely fragrance. (If you want to watch a YouTube review of this fragrance, Allison Chase did a good review on 4-15-19.)

Tammy Avatar

Seraphine,

I think Venice is available at Chanel and Nordstrom. I purchased mine from Nordstrom. I’m not sure about Macys.

This is a soft fragrance. Some complain about the longevity. If you like strong fragrances that have wide projection, you probably won’t like this. It is an intimate skin fragrance, one that makes itself known to those who get the opportunity to come close to you. I can still smell it after 8 hours, but that is probably because I put it on my skin and then walk into it (spray it in the air and then step into the fragrance so it floats down into my hair and onto my clothes). I am certain that adding the body lotion would increase the power of this fragrance; however, the soft violet and white musk finish is one of the things I love most about Venise.

I hope you get a chance to smell it.

Seraphine Avatar

Thanks, Tammy. I’m going to check it out the next time I’m at the mall that has Nordstrom. I use fragrance sparingly, so this sounds nice to me. The other two fragrances in this collection are interesting, too.

Your skin tone/coloring: Next to my name! (blue-green eyes)

Favorite spring collection? Favorite for quality would have to be Coloured Raine Safari Raine. For fun, UD GoT collection.

Favorite spring makeup find? Months ago, when I bought Viseart Coy palette, I knew it would be my perfect Spring e/s palette! Also, the 3 products I bought from MAC’s Boom Boom Bloom collection: Cherry Mochi Lipglass (perfect on its own or over lipstick!), Framboise Moi and Hi-Fructease lipsticks look fresh for spring without being insipid. And now that I finally own UD Tryst? Oh yes!

Favorite spring scent? Fresh Life! Has been for years.

Skin tone: super pale, slightly pink.
Favorite spring collection: UD’s Game of Thrones and ABH’s Riviera palette have been great fun to look at.
Favorite spring makeup find: Sephora’s new lipsticks! Stronger is a great dupe for a Bobbi Brown crushed lip color I’d had my eye on.
Favorite spring scent: N/A, but my cats smell toasty after napping in spring sunbeams. Can that count?

CeeBee Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: Light medium, yellow undertones. dark brown hair & eyes.

Favorite spring collection? Colourpop! – I bought the eyeshadow palette and all of the new Lux lipsticks.

Favorite spring makeup find? The Colourpop pressed glitters – I really liked the ones in the Sweet Talk palette and I ordered 4 more from the festival release.

Favorite spring scent? It’s autumn in the southern hemisphere, so I’ve been wearing Floral Street Iris Goddess and Chypre Sublime frequently but my favourite spring time scent is my favourite old standby, Glow by J.Lo.

Your skin tone/coloring: light, MAC NC 15-20, med brown hair & eyes

Favorite spring collection? Now? I guess the ABH Riviera but I find it more Summer than Spring

Favorite spring makeup find? Riviera Palette.

Favorite spring scent? SJP Lovely or Gucci Bamboo

Your skin tone/coloring: Light neutral
Favorite spring collection? I thought the Dior campaign was pretty, but I didn’t buy.
Favorite spring makeup find? GA Power Fabric high coverage stretchable concealer. It is incredibly lightweight and melds into skin. Better than TFBTW and Tarte ST. Oy, but pricey.
Favorite spring scent? Tom Ford Lost Cherry. I like wearing it with a bit of Tom Ford Noir pour femme ‘cause I like heavier moodier fragrances

Genevieve Avatar

Your skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones

Favourite spring collection? I am not a ‘collection’ kind of person and often the spring offerings tend to be too pink themed for me as such. So I haven’t really seen anything that stands out for me.

Favourite spring makeup find? Well, it’s not a spring shade, but I do love the Maybelline Spice for Me lipstick, which is perfect for our autumn over here in Aus.

Favourite spring scent? Clinique’s Aromatics, a strong favourite with Lancome’s Poeme.

I have light medium skin with a golden undertone. My favorite find is the Dior Lip Glow. I don’t have a favorite collection right now. I’m more into skincare. My favorite fragrance is Jo Malone Jasmine Sambac and Marigold.

Lt to lt med, cool: recent concealer purchases have proved to me i’m lighter than I thought. Low buy; not a pink/coral/spring colors person; haven’t indulged, but CP Villains gets my vote. I think the ‘find’ will be the L’Oreal l/s in Dazzling Doe, reviewed here recently, and added to my U20. Haven’t bought anything L’Oreal in decades. Spring scent: Classic: L’Air du Temps, which my dad (RIP, 1971) chose for me. And adding Phlur Sandara from the S sale, for a more unisex choice. Have been using Wet Garden/Demeter quite a bit. The smell of dirt, bulbs, and hope.

Your skin tone/coloring: Very fair, neutral leaning warm

Favorite spring collection: I have been loving Colourpop’s spring collection this year. I bought…almost everything, lol. The colors are just perfectly curated for my spring makeup tastes.

Favorite spring makeup find: I’ve really been loving the Colourpop Flower Szn lipstick, their So Juicy gloss in Aughties and Va-Va-Voom, the Doves n Roses Jelly Much shadow, and their pressed powder shadows in Koi/Flowerboy/Seas the Day (they look particularly beautiful together).

Favorite spring scent: Tocca Florence. Tocca Florence. TOCCA FLORENCE. It’s mostly gardenia, but every time I wear it it makes me think of walking through a lush green garden when the leaves are still covered in dew drops. I adore it.

Tammy Avatar

Brooke, I had to look up those colourpop shadows and they are gorgeous! I’m seriously tempted to break my Colourpop no-buy.

I know I have a sample of Florence. I’m going to have to wear it again. If I remember correctly, I loved Florence. I hoarded samples and wore it everyday for a significant period of time.
