Sneak Peek: Viseart Dark Matte, Cool Matte, Bright Editorial Palettes Photos & Swatches
Viseart Dark Matte (04) Eyeshadow Palette
Here’s a little sneak peek of two more Viseart Eyeshadow Palettes ($80.00 each). Neither of these are available at Sephora, like the other four I shared, but you can find it at various professional retailers online. I don’t have the other palette, Pearl Bright, that appears to be part of the range, as I couldn’t find it available for purchase at this time.
SIDE-BY-SIDE SWATCHES
There is also a “Blusher and Skin Corrector Palette” that you’ll likely find listed as an eyeshadow palette when hunting for it, but the back of the palette calls it something else, presumably something to do with the neons in it (much like most neon-hued powder products are not actually listed for eye usage, e.g. Urban Decay Electric Palette, Make Up For Ever’s brights in the Artist range). It doesn’t indicate which shades are for blush/which are not or if any of them could really be used as an eyeshadow or not, so I probably won’t do a full review of this one, but I’ll try to do some digging to see if I can more clarity on its usage on the eyes. I will try to get some general thoughts and the like together to share with you at a later date, but it won’t be a full review. I’m curious if this palette is listed the same when sold elsewhere or just for U.S. palettes.

These all look really good! I still gotta look up and see if there’s any way to get my hands on Viseart from where I am.
I hope that there is!
That Dark Matte #10 looks as stunning as I’m sure it’s gonna stain like crazy!
We’ll see! 🙂
I think my wallet is breathing a big sigh of relief. The Dark Matte swatches look great, but too many colors with warm orange or red undertones for my eyes. The Cool Matte palette doesn’t swatch that well, and I have enough dupes in my stash. As for the Bright Editorials, I don’t think I need any skin correcting powders in neon colors, and while it might be fun to wear some colors as blushes (blue blush with blue OCC Lip Tar lipstick), I don’t see myself doing that often enough to justify $80 price. I might as well get a pan of the new Wet-N-Wild neon bright shadows for $ 5 and use those as blushes. But thanks for tracking down these hard-to-find palettes, and I’m still curious to see how they perform
Thus far, my experience has been these perform better ON than merely swatched, but we’ll see! I was surprised by a few of the shades (and their resulting pigmentation), though.
Omg! How many total are there? And. How in the world is that last one a skin corrector palette? I’m stumped on that, Lol. I Really like the first two . I. Noticed a concealer/ contour cream palette on Sephora which of course is constantly sold out. I think when $ allows, Id like to try to get my hands on that too. I have been wanting to try cream contouring and this looks amazing .I so want these eye palettes. I’m really happy they are permanent because it will take a while for me to get around to them.it’s good to have goals. 🙂
I think there are eight, possibly nine – there is a 09 that is called Dark Matte on Alcone’s website, but it’s unclear if it’s really the same as 04 (which is also called Dark Matte).
Oh wow! I’m not sure if I’m into the bright one. But, so far,if all the others review as well or better as the first, it will become my makeup login mission to acquire them all . Good thing they are permanent! It would be great if in one of the post, you would suggest where to find them as far as online ( other than Sephora). I caught Alcone and Muse..anywhere else ? Idk..do you suggest eBay sellers?I get scared with eBay and cosmetics or skin care.
I would go with Alcone, Muse Beauty, Camera Ready, and Frends. I bought these three from Muse and that went fine, but I know friends who have purchased from the other three.
Thanks ! That helps so much! 😀
I think I will be eating my words on the brights palette, lol. The more I see it, the prettier it becomes!
actually, Alcone’s got it wrong. there’s no 09 palette yet. they got it confused because Viseart used to have a different version of the 04 palette …i would know 😉 http://puu.sh/ixMNw/ea5dc1df55.png so when 04 dark matte came out, they added it as “09 dark matte” thinking it would be a new number and didn’t realize it was just the replacement of the older 04. and for some reason they haven’t taken it off the site yet /shrug. then again, they also kept the 02 pearl bright palette on their site even though that was a limited run and isn’t being brought back (and probably changed as well) until spring of 2016.
Ooo, so pretty. Want? Yes. Price? hmmm. Must give the $ some thought.
Monica.
Price is rough to plunk down all at once!
I really like the dark matte but I might have dupes already. I like the color selection of the other two palettes too but the quality doesn’t look impressive to me–not for eighty usd.
The proof will be how they apply, so we shall see!
Viseart is killing me! I do not want to shell out $80 for one of these palettes but they look so nice. Just look at those swatches
They are pricey!
Next on my list is dark mattes!!waiting for sephora to get it!! As per viseart IG it’s in transit and should be available in about 4 weeks !!! 🙂
Oh, that’s awesome to hear that Sephora will be getting it!
How would those be used as Skin Correctors? Just curious.
I mean, I could kind of see some of the color theory coming into play (like green cancels red), but in general, not so much.
I suspect they’re probably listed as “blushes/skin correctors” to get around thenon-eye safe in the U.S. issue, but that’s just a theory. I don’t know for sure.
Yeah, that’s my guess, but I’m not 100% sure. I did send an email to Viseart asking if any of them were safe for eyes!
I was thinking they may be meant to alter other shades…?
Good thinking. It would be interesting to see how these work.
Thanks, Christine. I’m curious to hear what Viseart says.
So much pretty! Oh my gosh, I want all three!!
Fun! 🙂
WOW THESE ARE SO PRETTY. That last palette is beautiful it looks so pigmented I can’t wait to see the full review hopefully it performs as well as it swatched
Fingers crossed!
Oh soooo pretty! I hope Sephora sells these ones sometime soon, beautiful! I think #11 in the dark matte palette looks so unique!
Vineetha commented and mentioned that Viseart said Dark Mattes will be coming to Sephora in four weeks!
So happy!!!
Awww…just as I suspected I like the look of these way better than the 4 I got from Sephora. I just got Sultry Muse and Paris Nudes this week, and they’re nice but I was hoping for a bit more colour. And the Neutral Matte one leans too warm for me personally…I reeeeally want that cool matte one. I already know I’m getting these, I love the colours! *hangs head in shame”
Awww!
I saw the Cool Matte palette online somewhere a few days ago and did something I rarely do — ordered it sight unseen, reviews unread, from a retailer I haven’t ordered from before, because the palette just has a bunch of colors that I really, really, really want/need/have been looking for in a palette for a couple of years. I ordered from Camera Ready Cosmetics, and it arrived on the East Coast from Los Angeles in only two days with basic shipping ($12.55 for Priority Mail). Since it just came the day before yesterday, I haven’t had a chance to use it extensively yet, but so far I’m pleased, even though colors 2, 6, and 7 have more pink/red in them than I like to use around my eyes most days. I’m drooling over the colors in the other two palettes you show us here, even though I’d probably only use about half of them on myself. These palettes really do make more sense for MUAs than for those of us who are making up only ourselves. But I’m really looking forward to your reviews!
Happy to hear you’re digging it so far, Fran! 🙂
Wow, I love the colors in Dark Matte! I like the Bright Editorial, but it is definitely a professional item, I think, if I can’t wear it on my eyes. It’s too expensive for me to buy it and see how my eyes react, so …pass.
Yeah, I went through the ingredient list against the color additives approval list from FDA, and it’s the Red 6 and Red 7 that are approved for general use, which excludes the area around the eye. (http://www.fda.gov/Cosmetics/Labeling/IngredientNames/ucm109084.htm)
Thank you, Christine. I’ve tried other brights that I knew were OK’d in the EU or Canada. I haven’t looked into Viseart yet to see if they are. It is helpful to know they aren’t in the U.S.
They are getting me the official word in the next few days!
This would be a matte lovers heaven – but I am not one of them. Very pretty colours.
True! I like shimmer myself with mattes to add depth but more shimmer, less matte for me!
I must say, for some reason it’s those beautiful rich plum shades that initially caught my eye on the first two palettes, and the bright blues as well, which is strange since I usually go for more neutral tones. Surely they wouldn’t be available in Australia though – nothing ever is (well, it’s getting better, but still).
PS. You do the best swatches – thank you, thank you, thank you!
Happy to share, Kiara! 🙂
The Dark Mattes and Brights are both really pretty, I’d wear every color! Thanks for sharing the swatches!
No problem, Rebecca!
BE STILL MY HEART!!! <3!! I bought 4 of them from Sephora mostly during the last fall sale (01 Neutral Matte, 03 Bridal Satin, 05 Sultry Muse & 06 Paris Nude). I feel like I need to collect them all!!
Nice! Which is your favorite from what you have, Meghan?
My favourite is probably the Sultry Nude one. I could get on with that & Naked Basics just fine (but only if I HAD to :P)
Can’t wait for your review on these. I have neutral matte, cool matte and Sultry Muse. I love love the matte palettes. They don’t look that impressive on the pans or swatches but they are so lovely on. Even an eyeshadow idiot liked me can create multiple looks with them 🙂
They do seem to apply better than they look!
Some of these shades remind me of Sleek’s Ultra Matte palettes, but with better pigmentation!
Oooh, I could see that!
I’m so conflicted. I liked the matte palette you showed the other day, and I felt like it’d be the perfect travel palette. But I REALLY like the dark mattes. I mean … A LOT. I know I have dupes of some of those colors, but they’re in a matte palette that I use constantly, and I’ll actually hit pan on most of the colors eventually. I like the idea behind the cool mattes, but they seem weak compared to the other two matte palettes. So here’s the conflict: I can really only justify getting the cool mattes at this point, since my stash is lacking cool colors more than anything, but it seems the least promising. And I waaaaaaant the other two. 🙁 Waaah!
LOL! Well, hopefully I can get the reviews up soon-ish and maybe that’ll help you decide ;D
Love the dark matte palette. With my NC42 skin I find most other matte palettes are too light and can look chalky. I’ll def be picking this one up
Awesome 🙂
I would love the dark matte palette if it weren’t for all of those shades of orange.
Totally understand!
The Cool Matte looks pretty tempting depending on how it actually performs. I like some of the Dark Matte colors, but there are too many orangey colors for my taste.
I’m curious to see how well it works out!
Hi Christine, thank you for the swatches. Since I have hooded eyes I prefer matte eyeshadows, I want to invest in something good, I have read some great reviews about the Viseart matte palettes but I’m not so sure if I should go for them or if there is something better or that is really worth that type of expense.
Would you recommend them or would recommend a different brand for matte eyeshadows, I’m not looking for neutrals or nudes but some fun colors in a matte finish. If you have any brand recommendations or palette recommendations it would be of great help, thanks 🙂
Thank you!
Hey Susette!
I’m still testing them 🙂
I’d love to try Dark Matte #10! I love trying new shadows! 🙂
Yay!
I wish these came in singles like the MUFE shadows so we could build a couple palettes of our own! What a dream that would be, then I’d spend big money on these shadows. Sometimes in the palettes now I would only use 3-4 shades primarily and the rest would just sit there so it’s a waist of money for me, but they are beautiful..
That would be cool!
Oh ugggghhh, I love that dark matte palette.. I see a few misses in the swatches, but overall it looks workable.
So far, most shades that have missed (at least, a little) have performed better in practice, but we’ll see…
Man, if I had to build a kit I would seriously go with Viseart palettes. Don’t get me wrong I love MUFE, Yaby, and Inglot but they hit the nail on the head with the colour selection and the fact that none of the shades overlap and they put thought into the all the palettes working together is just a perfect space saver.
(Although I can got all 4 of my Yaby palettes into 2 large Z palettes with room to spare, it works really well and each pan is replaceable. lol)
For some reason Viseart Dark Matte (04) Eyeshadow Palette reminds me of the MELT cosmetic eyeshadow palettes. 😉
I can see why Viseart is well-loved by Pros!
A picture of the dark matte palette is already on the Sephora site so I’m guessing it will be available via Sephora.com soon.
Yay!
Love the dark matte – it’s so beautifully put toghether <3
Happy to hear it!
How on earth did I miss this preview??? I suppose I must have been just toast when I got home on the last day of my convention! A good and peaceful kind of tiredness though. But I am utterly swept away by the Dark Matte palette!!! Cool Matte not so much, too heavy on the gray and pink for me. The Editorial one, IF eye safe, looks like some serious FUN!
lol! 🙂
