Sneak Peek: Too Faced Merry Macarons Palette Photos & Swatches
Too Faced Merry Macarons Eyeshadow Palette
Too Faced Merry Macarons Eyeshadow Palette ($39.00 for 0.36 oz.) includes 12 eyeshadows with a mix of neutrals and a few pops of color. This one is exclusive to Ulta! Here are swatches…
Is it just me or does it look like every Too Faced Palette has the same colors in it?
It’s not just you.
It’s weird UD sticks with turquoise, royal blues, greens… Tarte sticks with mauves and plums, and too faced sticks with this kind of color for holidays
It looks way too similar as the TF Vegas Nay palette
good call! Another of their holiday palettes this year is pretty similar to the Nikki palette, which I also would not buy. So tired of this.
You took the words right out of my mouth. :o/
Nope, not just you, Nyx. They actually do. I find Too Faced uninspired and super predictable: BORING AF.
Nope, it’s not just you.
totally agree. and I hate the dopey packaging & cardboard overload. Not buying & happy about it!
Some hits and misses as far as intensity goes, it seems.
Christine, as you post reviews of Too Faced’s holiday palettes, I will be interested to see the closest dupes to other TF shades. You’ve remarked before on the similarity among their offerings, and I am really seeing it after only my 2nd year of interest in the brand. Maybe I will change my mind when I see these palettes in the store, but for now I doubt I’ll be able to justify buying any.
Same-o, same-o, same-o. I’ve now become officially bored with “holiday” and seasonal releases. Snore.
I like some of the colors here (Banana Cream, Chocolate Raspbery, Praline) but not enough to get the whole palette. Wish they did singles
Agreed.
I guess the theme of my comments today are… “it looks meh and so similar to what they were putting out in the last couple of years.” Christine, do you ever get fatigue from reviewing so many similar products?
Not really – I get that I’m not their customer as I already own multiple palettes and plenty of shades, so it is going to be tough to ever introduce something innovative in a palette to me. I can appreciate that there are people entering the beauty community at all times – those who have never bought a palette before, those just building up their palettes, and those returning after having ignored the industry for years. Just like dupes, there are plenty of reasons why people prefer certain brands over others. Someone might have skipped last year’s holiday palette for whatever reason and might be excited that they can get something similar this year.
I have this and I really like it. I do agree that Too Faced puts out very similar holiday sets with very similar colors each year, (and in their ‘special’ sets) but- I haven’t purchased a holiday set from them for myself since 2014, so I didn’t seem to have too many duplicate shades.
The 4 ‘foiled’ shadows in this palette are worth the price alone. Banana Cream and Honey Lavender are my go to’s for the lid. They’re super close dupes to the Nars shadows that released recently.
This looks just like the new Lorac mega palette. As in, several probably very close dupes. Less costly — though smaller, so it should be — and somewhat better looking in the swatches though as with the Lorac palettes, many of the mattes look a tad dusty to my eye. Both have elements that remind me of ABH Mod. Renaissance. So yes, I guess they are all starting to look alike to me.
Yawn…..another uninspired palette…however, that gorgeous lorac palette will be mine.
This one looks the nicest to me out of all of Too Faced’s various holiday palette offerings this year. I would guess this will be the best performing just based on swatches alone. Too bad about Mint Chocolate though, it’s the prettiest shade and it’s a dud.
Ditto…thought this one came out best so far, and mint choc doesn’t fare well. Plus, how unoriginal of me, I would have liked to see a light chocolate with green flecks or vice versa, just based on the name. I haven’t done tf for myself for quite a while, though this looks to be the best tf gift so far. But, yes, I am stifling a yawn
Agreed! This one would make a nice gift. And you’re right about Mint chip. What business does a purple-mauve shade have being named mint chip?!!
Oops, mint chocolate. Whatever. Lol!
I have this pallette, and I love it! I’m able to use every shade in this including purple, which is nice for someone addicted to brown eyeshadow. So many of their pallettes are hit or miss, but I just had to take a chance on this one (I hated PB & J and Totally Cute).
It’s Dulce not Dulche! Can’t believe they misspelled it. ?
I’m so sorry, that is my fault.
This palette is absolutely stunning! So gorgeous!
Some hits and some misses. I’ll be interested to see your review.
Some really nice colours for me but I would wish they make matte palettes and shimmer palettes. I Do not use matte eyeshadows and there Are so much of them. I think there Are a lot of People who Prefer mattes or shimmers so it would make sense to make palettes with only one Finish.
This palette looks way better than the Grand Hotel Cafe mini palettes. I was disappointed with the inconsistency and ended up returning it. Hmmm, wondering if I should check this one out (in person this time! Lol) the colors look more my “type” anyhow
I just don’t know how I feel about this one. On one hand, these look to be good quality and definitely shades I would use. On the other hand, it looks like shades that I have already or am about to, ie; MAC Selena, Missing My Baby and No Me Queda Ma’s e/s singles.
*Mas! Dang autocorrect!
This is very predictable – a matte black, a couple of purples, a couple of caramel shades, light pinks and vanilla. Who would have guessed?
Every holiday palette looks very boring to me or they are dupable. I’m passing on every one that I have seen.
This literally looks like Nikki Tutorials without the mermaid green one. Its also IDENTICAL to Peanut Butter & Jelly. Cmon Too Faced….step up your game!
The quality looks good. Even though it’s mostly neutrals, I only have two real dupes. I’m not in the market for a palette like this, but as palettes like this go, I think it’s a nice one. I’m not gong to get it, but the swatches look like an improvement over what we’ve been seeing from Too-Faced.
