Sneak Peek: Tom Ford Lips & Boys 2015 Swatches & Photos (New Shades)

The boys are back! Tom Ford Lips & Boys 2015 will be previewed on TomFord.com today, and then officially releasing on Black Friday, the 27th. Here’s the good news: they’re all permanent! There are 25 new shades (though I spotted some overlap with past/current shades, more on that in reviews), which are the shades featured in this post, and then 25 returning shades (from last year’s launch). Each shade is $35.
I just received confirmation that Neiman Marcus will launch the Lips & Boys collection on 11/27.

P.S. — I did re-swatch the returning shades (since they are permanent, I wanted them in the larger photo size we’ve been using) — will post those shortly! 🙂
I ordered Drake and Eric this morning but I’m going to see if they can switch out Eric for Daniel… I’m shocked at how Drake looks on your lips as it’s completely different than it was advertised… I really hope I won’t be disappointed with it!
TF’s swatches, while I appreciate the gesture, seem off on a lot 🙁 Even when trying to just compare some of last year’s boys and looking at a Google image search (like Liam is nowhere near that dark or cool-toned, Leonardo is very much a medium red!). I think Drake is a really pretty shade though 🙂
Hmm, I see quite a few frosty ones here, not a big fan of frost, but love the ones with gold shimmer. Hiro looks gorgeous, and if put that Star Wars Gold lipstick on top, it’s going to look OTT! Derek and Theo look interesting too. Oh dear
It seems like this year’s theme is Metallics (going off of TF’s website).

I’m swooning over Roman,Tony, Drake and Theo. Ihave Starvos pre-ordered. But,I may ditch him for Roman or just add. I really love Richard from the origianl round as well as Cary or Colin ( stil deciding betwen those two!). I’m happy these are permanent. But, so,so many to choose now!

Absolutely!! That was the best news. When I heard about the re-launch, I was thinking “oh no! Here we go again!” But it’s not as I originally anticipated. They did listen to us! Thanks Tom!! <3

ARGGH!! I want almost every single one, they are so beautiful! I hate that TF puts gluten in their lipsticks as I’m gluten intolerant/celiac. I’ve bought 3 other Boys and I’ve made up my mind I’m not buying more as they do effect me and I have to be careful not to lick my lips. Stupid, I know, but the colors are so gorgeous!! ??

Ugh the swatches on the site are so frustrating! Please post your re-swatches of the 25 returning shades soon because I am worried that they aren’t going to be the same as last year. Are you going to post a run-down like last year? Are the 25 returning pretty much the same?
They’re already in the gallery – and they were always there so they didn’t disappear! 🙂 I just re-applied the shades I bought last year that are being made permanent now.
I have loved these two Lips & Boys launches… if only for the fun of playing the “find your ex” game. I can’t be the only one who does that right?! LoL!

Justine, they were available late last week on the Holt Renfrew website – but then they disappeared yesterday. Orders for them shipped out, though.
I think Nordstrom has them here now, too, although they haven’t been made available yet (as far as I know, waiting on my preorders to ship).

It should be at other retailers sooner rather than later! I know for sure Neiman Marcus announced 11/27!
I’m glad these are permanent for many reasons, but foremost that I can buy them later! I HAVE to reign myself in after the Sephora sale and some other early holiday sales. I have actual gifts to buy others. Oops. :-/

Christine – these are stunning swatches. Thank you for taking the time to do this. I’ve never tried a Tom Ford lipstick but I have lots of MAC lipsticks. In terms of texture, would you say that these apply smoother and have a less dry feel?
They’re thinner, and to be honest, the texture on the Lips & Boys kind of varies from shade to shade, finish to finish. I have reviewed 25 of the 50 previously, so you might poke around those or even all of the reviews in general – there was a round-up that I did for last year’s 50 shades!

Thanks for this- so helpful! I ordered Drake and have my eye on Liam from last year and Derek + Roman from this year. Really happy they’re permanent so I can take my time. I have to say, the swatches on TF website are way off. Like completely different colors. I wonder why they do that? Drake looks like a totally different color. I’m glad I saw your swatches so I know what I’m purchasing.

A wide range of colours and some gorgeous tones here. I think I like Omar the best. The rest are too pinkish for me.
There are some unusual shades!
I just spoke with the Sales Associate at my local Neiman’s Tom Ford counter and she says that the new Lips&Boys are limited edition. I hope she’s wrong. I really don’t want to buy them based on on-line photos and I don’t want to deal with crowds this weekend to get to see them, either. Oh well, money saved if they sell out before I get to them.
I asked if all 50 were permanent, and TF said they were!

You ROCK for these swatches! I’m a self-professed lipstick-aholic & you’re making this really hard for me. I bought Stavros & Alasdhair last year & I think I need a few more Boys in my collection. I’ve got Alex, Kingston, Joaquin & maybe Eric on my mind, but I’ll wait for your reviews before pulling any triggers. I hope Nordstrom gets these again!

Hey Christine! R U saying these new boys are permanent as well as the returning boys? Will they be the smaller size or the normal full size? Well, I asked Tom Ford website about the release duration, they said “Please know there is no specified duration for this collection. A certain amount have been produced, and when they have sold out, they will not be replenished.”
Hahah… So confused about this now…
I asked Tom Ford PR specifically if all 50 shades were permanent, and they said yes. That’s really all I’m able to go off of (not sure what else to do but ask corporate!).
