Sneak Peek: Sephora Colorful Blushes | July 2015 Shade Extensions Photos & Swatches

Sephora Colorful Blushes | July 2015 Shade Extensions

This July, there were eight new shades of Sephora Colorful Blushes ($15.00 for 0.12 oz.) added to the range, with three highlighters, one blush, and four contour shades–though one contour shade (Passionate) doesn’t really seem like a contour shade at all and another (Fiji) seemed more like a bronzer as it was quite shimmery as a heads up. Full reviews to come (I need more cheeks!!) 🙂

oooo tranquil look like it would be a really good contour for light girls – I’m so tired of picking up my contours from the post and realizing that in reality they are so much warmer than in the pictures! (It was pretty crazy of NYX to discontinue Taupe and change it to a warmer shade. )

too bad Sephora’s contact to Europe is super limited, though…

Oooh, Tranquil looks like dupe for Chanel Notorious…..hope it doesn’t look like dirt on my face, but for $15, worth a shot. The other shades (Fiji, Jubilant, Los Cabos) look too warm for me

Yeah, I’m trying to picture who can look good in that one. Definitely someone with cool undertones but..it’s gray. So it’s more of a highlighter?

Contour – cooler shades tend to look more natural as a contour as opposed to warm shades. Shadows are not warm toned so the cooler shades do a better job at mimicking the shadow. 🙂

It depends on your skintone, but I have used Mac’s Quarry eyeshadow and even Copperplate! It sounds weird, but start light handed and see what you get..

Hope Tranquil will change my mind after my last Sephora blush fail experience! Just placed my order for it and really hoping it’s not “too good to be true”! Since I’m light-toned and gravitate toward cools, this looks like it would make a superb contour for me. I’m currently using the Too Faced contour or the Trish McEvoy Face Shaper (in dark surprisingly) but would love a stand-alone contour that might work better with some of my other blushes like the UD Bittersweet or Rapture. Thanks, I think (LOL), for getting the swatches up!

After seeing Serene and Tranquil, I may just have to get my very, VERY tired butt in gear and get over to Ulta for Nyx Banana Powder and Taupe (new) Blush. Problem is, I don’t want to move a muscle except to do my hair. 🙁

Given Sephora’s history of having a wide range of color selection, I am really, really hoping they have some good bronzer options for women of color unlike other major brands (*cough Tarte Chanel Benefit cough*). I find this to be a big market gap to be filled.

Even though I don’t own too many Sephora brand products, I think they make good stuff and hopes are high on this one 🙂

I already have Los Cabos (in a great palette with 2 blushes as well) and it’s nice – very light, which suits me. Like so many others, I’m eager to try Tranquil….clever of Sephora to release a shade so much like the Chanel one so many people coveted but so few were able to get.

I just bought a backup of NYX Taupe HD blush, *and* both Kat von D Shade & Light palettes (the eye palette has a shadow that is amazing as a contour!) to add to my ever-growing contour collection, but I think I need to grab Tranquil, plus a backup-or 2…, LOL! I’m headed to a larger Sephora store next weekend, so *hopefully* I can grab at least one!

Tranquil is pretty much a dupe for Chanel’s Notorious, which was LE. I picked up s couple as I loved the color for my eyes, and I highly recommend it! The texture is workable! 🙂

I missed out on Notorious, as I didn’t know it even existed until it was too late, and I refused to pay extortionate eBay prices, LOL! I’ve been waiting for *any* brand to get it together and come up with something comparable. Maybelline Color Tattoo is said to be similar, as well, but with my drier skin, it doesn’t blend well as a face contour, but I love it for the eyed, and even have a backup.

Ooh! Bad miss! If you have NARS Notirious or BLKR, they’re quite similar as well. I doubt anything will reflect the subtle violet in gray like Chanel Notorious, and I find no good with color tatoos so I grabbed a tranquil. It’s closer to NYX taupe or even MAC taupe. This is when I’m very happy I buy backups! Both of Chanel & bats! Gray lilacs are a huge fave of mine!

I missed NARS Notorious, but I do have 413 BLKR (I was also able to track down Barbuda!), but they aren’t matte… I have both versions of the NYX Taupe blushes, along with backups, LOL, as I got an amazing deal on 2 of the “original” versions on eBay, and I stumbled upon the new one on 2 different occasions. I’m not too keen on the former as a face contour, as it pulls almost rosey on me, but I do like the new one. My skin is sooo neutral, it pulls even the *slightest* undertones of a product, an amplifies them-which is why even tarte Exposed looks like I took a few crushed Pepto Bismol tabs and smeared them on my face, LOL!

My thoughts exactly! Next to skin has become a staple in my makeup routine, I’ve started getting nervous since I don’t have a backup and there aren’t any dupes… Even if Tranquil is darker I’d be so excited if it was at all similar.

Jubilant and tranquil looks promising <3.
I wish i could see a review of these soon, Christine. By the way, do you think these are going to be available in Mexico on July too?
