It’ll probably be a bit before I get to testing these in full (they’re permanent, so there’s no rush!), but I thought you might enjoy checking out photos and swatches of NYX Macaron Lippies ($6.00 for 0.15 oz.) in the meanwhile.

Also… Wickied Lippies? I added lip swatches here.

Wow, you’ve got to give it to NYX! Most of these seem amazingly opaque and even! I was thinking something like this would just look patchy on, but they made it work! Would love to hear your thoughts about the formula.

I think it’s safe to say that never in a million years I’d go out wearing any of these colors, but I can see a lot of people having fun with these for Halloween.

I love these! I didn’t care too much for Citron on me but Violet, Key Lime and Blue Velvet are lovely. Great for a funky pop off color or mixing with other lippies. I think I want Orange Blossom now lol

I still wouldn’t buy any of them because I really not into unconventional lip colors, but I’m super glad that it seems like someone has finally come up with a decent line of unconventionally colored lipsticks. (And a drug store brand at that!) They all look pretty great. Hopefully they perform well too!

I definitely need orange blossom! Citron and black seasame look great for layering/mixing. I am very drawn to pistachio for some reason! So pretty!

The “Violet” looks so pretty, I’ve already ordered it! 🙂 So excited, but might take a week or maybe two to arrive to me since I have to use shipito. Violet, Rose and Orange look the most wearable to me, the others are kinda bold but I love them nevertheless.

I can totally see myself buying and using some of these. Some looked a bit uneven, some looked really good. Will be interesting to read the reviews later on. I really like Chambord, Violet, Lavender and Black sesame. I’m not sure how the lighter pastelly ones will work with my skintone so Lavender might look horrid on me, but they are fun, these lipsticks.

Omg, they are so pretty! The first blue and the pale grey seem to have perfect looking textures :))) i’m curious about the way they feel on. I like all of them :)) i doubt they’ll be on the sites that sells nyx over here, tho 🙁

I’m still a bit miffed with NYX as there are no large displays in Canada and the refuse to come back to IMATS Toronto that past 4 years. Love these but like to no have to order online fro 80% of their products. lol

I love to get there wicked line as well. But Starting in the new year I’ll be one a 2 year no buy. (So I’m running around to get staples that will last me two years. lol )

I’m in Los Angeles, and I still have to order online… ULTA stated they won’t get these back in-store, and no other store carries anything more than “basics”. I only have one of these, which I love, but I’d like the option of picking up 1-2 at a time, but in order to make it worthwhile, I’d have to get more money together and place an online order.

I know what you mean! l live in Toronto and Rexall/PharmaPlus carries NYX, but not the full line. Like they have matte lip creams but no butter glosses.
Target carries NYX too but goodluck finding stock. The displays are usually pretty empty, like the rest of the store lol!

Some of these colors are really beautiful! I wonder if there is any possibility of wearing Key Lime or Earl Grey as an eyeshadow? Light lipsticks yield a definite “corpse factor” on me. How similar is the Violet to Too Faced Melted Violet?

Some of the pastels look a tad streaky, but Chambord is a delight. It says a lot that a budget brand produces a shade better than Kat Von D’s matte line. 9_9

Black Sesame is *amazing* for mixing with other lipsticks that are the wrong shade, and it plays well with every brand I’ve tried it with. I had an entire bin of nude lipsticks that were too warm/peach/orange, and now I can actually wear them!

These are actually a little bit too white-based for me… the Wicked ones are more appealing to my adventurous side. But if I wanted a black lipstick this would be a cheap option.

Oh my god, are those little Ps I see on the Wicked lipsticks, too?? 😀 😀 That’s awesome, dude!

I’m still eagerly awaiting your reviews for all of these lipsticks (Betrayal and Immortal in particular), but thanks for the lip swatches 🙂 I’ve been seriously considering ordering those two from NYX sight-unseen & having them shipped up to Canada, but if they’re permanent, I might do some more purple-hunting first — Immortal’s not looking quite as opaque as I’d hoped it would.

I’m glad that quite a lot of these colors are wearable.

I remember that some lip products from NYX tend to smell soapy though–which could be a turn-off.
Do these lipsticks, and the Wicked ones, smell soapy?

I bought Black Sesame and Lavender when Ulta was having their sale on NYX. Thanks for the heads up on that! Black Sesame is so pretty, but when I applied it, it was very streaky and required many coats to get opaqueness. What is your secret?

It’s kind of funny how a lot of more expensive brands have made absolutely awful attempts at unconventional color lipsticks yet NYX gets it right for so much cheaper!

Hmm…I’m still not very excited by these, so I think it’s my “meh” reaction to cream finishes. Though I still kind of like Earl Gray. So…I think I’ll pick up a few Wickeds and Earl Gray if I do a wacky NYX lipstick order.

I am *SO* impressed by the opacity of these. Other brands: take note! This is how you do ‘unconventional’ colours in terms of pigmentation!

These, and the wicked ones, are so awesome. They are so inexpensive I might just buy a few to wear around the house while doing chores.

Teal lipstick just might be something I need. So weird and like, Italian Vogue or something.

I have black sesame, earl grey, pistachio, and lavender and I love all of them … They can be a tiny bit streaky but they’re pretty opaque and for $6 a pop I can’t complain. The colors are so unconventional and fun I’m very excited for the wicked puppies 🙂

I am really impressed with the range of colors. These look so fun, I may finally be able to convince myself to venture out of my red/wine/nude safe zone. Thanks!

I have Blue Velvet and absolutely love it. I’d been searching for a bright blue lipstick for ages, and they were either too expensive (either the base price or because of shipping) or the formula was off. Really impressed with these. I’m going to try and get my hands on Black Sesame, too.
