NARS Matte Multiples
NARS Matte Multiples

The new NARS Matte Multiples ($39.00 for 0.26 oz.) are now available online at Sephora and NARS. I just received these yesterday afternoon, so I’ve only had time to photograph and swatch but not yet do full-length wear test. I’ll be working through them this weekend, and I hope to have full reviews for you soon with more swatches, dupes, etc. I would greatly appreciate it if you could hold any questions until I’ve had a chance to test and review–stay tuned! 🙂

Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Don’t worry, not asking a question but i just want to say that appreciate that you try so hard to get new releases out to us so fast- i honestly don’t know how you manage to do it (as US releases tend to be a bit before UK ones, i am eternally grateful that i always have your review before i ever buy anything these days).:)

Just curious. Are these supposed to be used for more than one use? Let’s say cheek stain, lip application? If so these are really gorgeous colors and very doable for most skin tones.

They market them as being for eyes, cheeks, lips, and body if I’m not mistaken. Like you could use them as an eye shadow, blush, lipstick/gloss or maybe for contouring other parts of your body. I think the name “Multiple” is a play on words with Orgasm, because there is a multiple in Orgasm (don’t quote me on this, but it may have been one of the first), but it’s a double meaning because you can use the product multiple ways.

I love Anguilla, but what’s keeping me from jumping on it is that the casings are so much smaller than any of my other “stick” products, and it would get lost among them, and I’d probably not reach for it as often as I’d like. I’m not complaining about less product for the same price, as these are sooo much more pigmented than the original, but I’d rather have a similar amount at a higher cost, if it meant a more uniform casing.

None of these will work as a contour shade for me, either. I was hoping for a matte version of St. Bart’s, but these all run so warm.

Would it be weird to use any of the multiples on your eyes? I love the brown shades and I’m always one to use cream shadows compared to powder because of dry skin. I wish NARS would come out with matte multiple minis of sorts! I don’t think I could use a whole tube up so minis would be divine!

I absolutely love the look of these, just wish I had more of an idea how to apply them :(. I feel like if I just swiped this over my foundation it would wipe the foundation away, sigh.

I just Ordered Altai. I hope I’ll like it. It looked interesting to use in place elf cream contour. I usually use Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel, But if this works out it’ll be better for my pocket book and closer to boot. My closest Chanel is about 2 hours away 🙁

There is a cool video on the Nars website that shows how you can use them wet or as is. Apparently wet sheers them out if I recall correctly. Can’t wait for your review. Thanks for the swatches.

At the very least, depending on the shades, you can use them for blush, contour, bronzer, eyeshadow, and lip color. I find them to be a bit drying for the lips though. You can apply them directly from the tube, or using your fingers (which helps to warm the product), or makeup blushes. HTH (hope this helps). 🙂
