Sneak Peek: NARS Dual-Intensity Blushes Photos & Swatches
NARS Dual-Intensity Blush
NARS Panic Dual-Intensity Blush ($45.00 for 0.21 oz.) will release on March 4th at Sephora/NARS and then at other retailers on April 1st. There are six duos in the Dual-Intensity formula, so they’re a wet and dry formulation. Here are some sneak peek swatches to mull over why I work my way through testing them 🙂

Panic is the only one I’m really excited about
Same here!
Me too , hope Christine ‘ s review is good
Right? Scrolling, scrolling scrolling and relieved to be uninterested in all these super shimmery blushes then crap. Panic is beautiful.
LOL, this was more or less my line of thought! I was envisioning some as maybe nice for eyeshadow (I’m not really a shimmer blush person), and then I made a HNNGH noise when I got to Panic.. 😀
Panic is gorgeous !
Damn it, Nars! I have enough makeup! But these are sooo pretty.
Christine, I know you’re still testing them but can you say if you like them? I wonder how all that sparkle looks on skin that isn’t 15 years old.
I’ve had them for two hours – I’ve worked as quickly as I could to get photos + swatches posted. I haven’t even applied any to my face! I put sneak peeks up, because that way I can share swatches sooner rather than later while giving myself real time to process and test them 🙂
Christine you are an incredibly hard worker & very considerate!
Yeah… we’re gonna need you to work overtime to get those cheek tests and swatches out. 😀 You amaze me at how much product you test, swatch, and slap up onto your blog! You are really an inspiration to an aspiring blogger, Christine! Thanks for all you do!!
I wish I could work more, but I’m already at about 80 hours a week! I pretty much sleep + eat, otherwise I am here doing my best 🙂
hey chrisitne !! i love ur blog . i always think tht what u do with all this makeup .. u get the whole lines of brands .. goshh .. please let me know do u hold a blog sale for international ppl
Sorry, I don’t sell makeup – it would be unethical. I donate as much as I can, and what I can’t donate (say a used eyeliner) goes to friends/family.
I was TOTALLY teasing about working overtime! 😀 You are awesome at what you do and we all appreciate it, though our wallets might not. 🙂
I just wish I could do more for all of you!
The pace is relentless! Is it just me, or did it seem there used to be clearer and longer division between seasonal campaigns. They come on top of each other. And now with so many mini releases kicking up every couple of weeks, I don’t know how you manage. I don’t.
LOL! It does seem like MORE coming out, but I think it’s also that there are more visible brands – there is just greater accessibility, so it’s not just your Estee Lauders and NARS any more to consider.
I wouldn’t apply a blush wet
But these colors are awesome, I love fervor and panic!
Oh god I want Panic *so badly*. I hope it performs well!!
I wish the left side of Frenzy were a bit softer. I am afraid this will be a glitter bomb on my face.
Also I am eagerly waiting for you to list dupes for the right shade in Jubilation. That one has the amount of sparkle I can sport on my cheeks.
Think these are gonna be a pass for me. They all look really sparkly, which I’m not a fan of.
Panic is calling my name!
Frenzy and Panic look stunning!
Wow, you pulled these swatches together so quickly~ 😀 Oy and they look super shimmery.. not sure I will be on board for these. My favourite of the pack is fervor.
You spoke my mind, as usual. I find them too loud. Fervor is the only one I would get.
I’m liking Fervor, Frenzy & Panic! Especially Frenzy (right) – I’m obsessed with oranges!
My goodness these look gorgeous!!! Can’t wait for these!!
The bad news is, of 3 I was interested in, I only like one… On the upside, I only like one, LOL! Money saved.
This seems geared toward warmer, tanner/deeper complexions…
I saw these and (I kid you not) said, “God BLESS YOU, Christine.” I think my coworkers are confused.
I need basically all of them. Frenzy, Adoration, and Panic, for starters.
The right side of Adoration is gorgeous to my eye but I don’t need the glittery nightmare that is the left side. And I’m surprised that I like BOTH sides of Panic (and I like the name too) – I would have thought the right side would be way too orange but both sides look fabulous. I question the “2 blushes in one package” idea – I like to choose for myself rather than have the pairing done for me with something like blush.
I think Panic is my favorite!
I don’t know how I feel yet about applying a blush with a wet brush. I’ve never tried it before and am not sure how much it would really add. These look great, though. Looking forward to them!
Panic will be mine. I also like Jubilation, but as a highlighter or possibly an eye shadow. I do think Nars is crossing the wet/dry line when it comes to blush. Using a product wet to apply blush is too much.
I really like the right side of Panic!
I don’t know. I’m not that excited. I can’t imagine wanting that much sparkle on my cheeks. I can’t say I would ever apply blush wet – usually you do that to get intense pigment and better control the application. I think it would just look like clown cheeks. But, I’ve seen a ridiculous amount of hype and enthusiasm on Instagram, so maybe they will sell well. (Then again, people were hyped up about the Hourglass Modernist eyeshadow palettes until they found out they didn’t really perform well.)
Some absolutely love going on here.
I have to get at least 1. Definitely not liking the price point. These are permanent i hope?
I was tempted by a couple at first glance, but they are much more sparkly than I thought…which is a good thing for me since these are pricey and I’m not as drawn to the sparkle in these. Can’t wait to see how they look on you. Thanks for the sneak peak!
Some of these are way too shimmery for me to use as blushes or highlighters, a few look too warm for me, others look nice.
Panic looks interesting. Still unsure if I’m willing to give NARS another chance though.
They look beautiful but the watercolour effect? I don’t see it at all given the pigmentation, I’d be afraid of looking like a clown. Can’t wait for the reviews!
Thank you! I was starting to think I was the only one who noticed this. The press release kept touting the wet application as ‘a translucent wash of color’ while the dry was ‘a bold flush’. At the time, I couldn’t understand how that was possible when wetting powder formulas typically results in MORE intense pigmentation. Seeing the sneak-peek swatches has only confirmed this for me.
That being said, they’re lovely blushes, but I think the wet application is unnecessary when the pigmentation is rather intense either way.
I can’t say I’d ever use them wet, but they look promising so far! Thanks for the first glance, Christine! 😀
Ohhhh snap. I can’t wait to hear if these look and perform as lovely as they swatch. A little sparkly for me, but soooooo pretty. Thanks, Christine, for your swift work!
Not seeing much difference between wet and dry.
I love some of these… I wish you could mix and match haha.
Fervor!!!
Kinda wish these were singles, I’d love the right half of jubilation but have no use for the left.
They all look so warm, save for one or two. 🙁 Ah well, they swatch beautifully at least. I tend to avoid high shine blushes like these, but I can imagine some people will really love these.
Oh no… I wasn’t at all thrilled by these from the earlier photos, but I want ALL of them now that I’ve seen the swatches
Well, those certainly are intense!
The golder/tawnier/non-pink shades look like they’d be great as eyeshadows. And they come in giant economy size! So gorgeous.
Wow they look so shimmery. I’d like to see what they look like on your cheeks first!
Wow wow wow, color me impressed! They all look beautiful. I will have a hard time deciding which one to pick up first! I love how pigmented Panic is!
wow…they look so shiny! I can’t wait to see what it looks like applied to the cheeks. I’m worried I’ll look like a disco ball LOL but Fervor,m adoration & frenzy look interesting!
*Screams and throws money in the air* Can’t wait for the review!
loving frenzy , jubilation & panic !
Love the colours and the swatches seem to show how beautiful the products are. But I would be a bit confused to work out which duo would work the best on me. Some of the shades look like highlighters and others blushes/bronzers.
I love Adoration – left side, Frenzy and Jubilation. I don’t think I would apply them wet.
Frenzy and Jubilation look nice!
Panic or adoration decisions decisions…
I’m wondering if the fuschia and hot pink will be dupes for burberry’s bright pink blushes. Can’t wait to find out 🙂
I really appreciate the sneak peaks. So nice to see things right away when they come out (even if you haven’t had time to review them yet!)
These look awesome!
These look amazing but some are way too frosty!
Frenzy, Panic and Adoration are gorgeous! I’m curious about these; the shimmer looks like it might not be very pore-friendly. Looking forward to your review of these, Christine!
Any idea if these are safe to use on eyes too? Jubilation, frenzy and fervour would be right up my street for eyeshadow!
They didn’t say, but I would expect that they weren’t tested for eyes and only for face/cheeks.
I love this formula for highlighters so Jubilation is something I would consider if I was putting together a kit, but I’m kind of liking Panic blush shades.
this is new to me because I don’t think I have wet/dry type formula for blushes 😉
Oh Man! Do these look dreamy!! 🙂 Love all the color pairs!
Panic es un sueño! HERMOSO
This is not promising for my bank account If these are formulated smooth enough, which I could see as a challenge. But Nars mastered it with the shadows,so it may very well be a possibility that they got it down here. My wallet is scared! My heart is thumping ..glowy cheeks..right on cue with Nars summer! Looking forward to your thoughts Christine!
Are these permanent? They’re all so pretty.
As far as I know, they are permanent!
Some of the colors are pretty, but looks like there’s too much shimmer for my 40-something face.
I also don’t see the need for wet/dry blush, though I look forward to your review.
Looking forward to hearing your reviews on these- most of these colors don’t seem wearable as a blush. I can’t wait to see how they translate on skin! Thanks for getting swatches up so soon, Christine.
the one where i like both colors is Frenzy but it’s not really a color i can see myself wearing on my cheeks… now if we could combine the lighter shade in Fervor and the coral side of Panic, we’d be talking!
Panic is gorgeous, thanks for the sneak peeks Christine, I will wait for your review.
I’ve been looking forward to reviews on these blushes. I like the right side of Fervor and Panic. Hope they’re not frosty. I don’t want to literally panic from frosty blushes.
Damn! These are insanely gorgeous and there seems to be great shades for both fair and deep skin tones 😀
Wowwwwwww …. now waiting for ratings 🙂 they are lookin damn pretty
I like fervor and panic.
I like Frenzy as it looks like one could the two sides well as highlighter and blush.
Puzzled by these. Some of the colors are quite nice individually, but in the combinations they’re put into, they just don’t look like they’ll work. I feel like you could use one of the colors from Panic, but not both – it would have made more sense to have one intense shade and one highlighter shade instead of two very saturated and strong pink-reds. Likewise, Jubilation looks like a pair of highlighters, not really “blushes,” because they’re so strongly yellow – no peach, pink, or berry tones at all. Jubilation is just so purely golden that I can’t imagine a skin tone on which that would look like anything other than jaundice. Even in the pairs which look like they could be used as a contour shade and a highlighter, the pairings just seem strange, especially Fervor, like one or the other will look good on any particular skin tone but together they will clash horribly and just look clownlike!
Also, I’m not sure about wet powder blush…there’s not much room for error, is there?
Am I the only one that thinks these are sort of……weird?
no, I think it’s weird too. I don’t understand the concept of applying a blush wet…that’s what cream blushes are for…and considering that amount of shimmer and sparkle on these, I don’t think I want it to be intensified further by applying it wet. I’m going to pass on this since I was not even impressed by the Dual Intensity Eyeshadows.
no, you’re not.
Thank goodness someone else said it! I don’t get these at all. So shimmery and glittery. Dislike the color pairings. Color swatches do not seem overly unique. And how would applying a blush wet be any different than a cream blush? Everything about these seem gimmicky.
Oh my goodness they look so awesome in the pan. I can’t wait to see how well they actually apply though.
GASP. Please hate them Christine! I can’t afford any more blushes.. I don’t even have space left!
Unless they perform awful I’m buying a couple of these beauties!
Hmm I don’t know, there are some interesting shades here but many look very frosty. I’ll have to wait till I see your full reviews with face pics to get a better idea. I’m afraid they might emphasize pores – I really don’t need that these days!
I’m also scratching my head trying to figure out how I would apply a blush wet without destroying the foundation/powder coverage.
Jubilation and Craving are my kind of cheek products! (Yeah, I almost always reach for bronzer or highlighter before I touch blush. And I love gold.)
I like the first one and the last one. Thanks for the sneak peak!
These are even more stunning swatched then they look in the pan. And I thought they were gorgeous in the pan. Adoration, Fervor, and Panic … Wow!!! Jubilation probably wouldn’t look good on me, but it sure is pretty.
Like many of the others here, I’ve never tried applying blush with a damp brush. Interesting.
I’m glad they’re permanent. If I did want some of these pretties, they’re costly. They’d be birthday or Christmas splurges.
These look nice! And you could totally use them as eyeshadow as well. Since Panic has a coral shade that one stands out for me most at the moment.
So lovely. I have a sneaking suspicion that I will end up with 3 of these ( hopefully only one, because I dont really wear blush). BUT THEY ARE SO PRETTY. Im supposed to be doing a no- buy for the month of march. We shall see
these looks so good
Panic is my fav one 🙂
Very pretty colors; I really enjoy looking at them, but I don’t do sparkly or shimmery on my cheeks.
Panic is the only one that could work for me. Other shades seem too warm :/
jubilation tho…. i need.
Christine, when you review these, can you note if on the package or any accompanying materials it notes if these are eye safe or not? I noticed them being used on the eyes in several fashion week runways shows. I’m not sure if I would use both sides of either of the combos on the cheeks, but if they can be used on the eyes as well then I would be interested! Thank you for all your hard work, as always!
I posted the entire press release, which is all the information I have, here: http://www.temptalia.com/nars-dual-intensity-blush-spring-2015
Nothing says it is eye-safe. Brands routinely use products that aren’t [insert body part here]-safe at NYFW from what I’ve seen, unfortunately!
Thanks, Christine! I have sensitive eyes and do not want to risk the blush pigments irritating them since they have not officially indicated that they are safe for eyes.
I’d say your best bet to know is if NARS puts something like “try using it on your eyes” under their tips/application tabs on their actual website when it launches.
I absolutely need Frenzy and Panic. Maybe Jubilation too. I do wish some of the blushes were matte or satin but I still think these are quite beautiful
Christine – you are truly a godsend! I saw your original post on the plane coming back to NY on Friday. I come by to your blog on Saturday to see what’s new and *bam* swatches. Thanks for all your hard work. I am super excited for Frenzy, Fervor and Panic but I might start out with something outside my comfort zone and get Panic. I can’t wait to see the final review.
Excited for this, I might start wearing blush again. *_*
I’m all about shimmery blushes so these are right up my street! I’m loving so many of these colors, mostly the pink and coral ones, but it’s a shame that most of them come in a duo where I know I wouldn’t use the other colour. The only one I’d really get full use of would be Panic. Still, that one is gorgeous.
Holy moly I can’t wait to get my hands on these!
I like the pink Fervor but I don’t care at all for the bronzy shade. I’m just going to wait for your dupe list!
wow so many of these are pretty! I wonder which one I should get. Its hard to tell without trying them on person.
Panic seems to be the best bet here.. looks amazing in swatches!! 🙂
Sooo glad that none of these blushes really made me swoon nor drool. I like a couple of colors but they’re from two different compacts. Total pass. Thanks for the swatches, Christine. Will opt for a Charlotte Tilbury blush instead. I have to say if I think I want something, I always type “*insert product name* temptalia”. Love the honest reviews you give. Xo! 🙂
