I agree with you there! I am leaning more towards creamy lip lusters or glosses. My lips does not like matte liquid lips like my eyes do lol so many of them fail on me 🙁 I must say these look a bit worthy as they don’t seem to dry down completely. I’ll wait for the initial word but YES I hope for more innovation in makeup in 2017! I’m over excessive and expensive highlighters. I’m ready to see them cosmetics to a different plane.

I love nudes, though I’m also forcing myself to not give into temptation like some people and buy every single one, instead focusing on my favourite shades from various companies, and putting them into my own little personalized SINGLE palette.

There’s no excuse except for gluttony/greed when one has twenty/thirty palettes ranging from different nudes, though basically having the same colours in every other one.

I waited until this year for matte liquid lips and tapped out quickly. Like you, I like the idea on others better than myself for the most part. The only ones that have been a success for me are the Armani lip magnets which maintain a little slip from the pigment in oil formula, Chantecaille (moussier, but still allows movement on the lips) and I just picked up the LE Dior matte lip and cheek which is pretty good – but you know, LE, and only 4 colors. My surprise fave on the matte lip trend is the Sisley Phyto Lip Twist matte balms. They’re amazing, especially in the winter weather!

I love the idea of them, as I despise slippery lipsticks for bolder looks, and find that the glossy, sticky, tacky feeling of lip cream just makes me shutter at the thought of it smearing all over my mouth or teeth or anything my lips accidentally bump or touch.

However, the only negative I have about them is how many companies follow trend after one product is made, reinventing it into their own little formula; it becomes a little ridiculous.

Found the texture to be similar to the tarte lip paints. But was turned off by the quantity of product for the price.

For comfy, affordable matted stick to the NYX soft mattes
