This looks surprisingly very good and quite pastel. I might just get it….
Woah!! Your eye look for this palette is A-MAZING! Beautiful!
Thanks, Becky!
These aren’t colors I would normally consider given that I am 63 years old but they look beautiful on you, Christine. I don’t know if it is my monitor but they swatch a little more subdued than they looked in the pan to me but on your eyes they appear very vivid. I were a few years younger I would definitely be using these! I don’t think I would spring for the palette just to add a pop of color here and there, though.
Can’t being 63 be the perfect excuse for getting the palette?
How about 68? Think I’m in. Surprise crease, lash line, or outer corner? Hell, yeah! Pop it in with some neutrals…it works. You certainly don’t have to do an all or multi colored look, if you are on the upper end of the spectrum…pun intended. This could be a lot of fun. Btw, wearing glasses that don’t magnify your eyes tones down color, anyway, esp if they have a slight gray tint. Bring it on…
Christine, that look is GORGEOUS! Mad skills 🙂
Thank you!
Hmmmmm. Swatched way more pastel goth than it looked in pan. Interesting. Pretty decent for pastels as well. Surprised Dagger doesn’t look better. That one should have been the slam dunk in the palette.
That was my thought! All the colors look great but Dagger is just lackluster compared to the rest.
It’s even better than I had hoped or dreamed. I am so glad I resisted that other pastel-ish UD Full Spectrum in hopes that something better would come along! ?❤???
(BTW: Love that rainbow eye you did!!!)
Thanks a lot, Nancy!
Oh thank God, the only color I really want is Gloom, so I don’t have to buy this, lol.
The eye look you did for this is GORGEOUS!
Thank you, Loriunn! 🙂
Hmmm, the last 2 swatches look weak, but the others look promising, esp. for pastel mattes. If I can’t dupe this using Metal Matte or other palettes (by mixing white with bolder mattes), I might consider . Thank goodness the size seems a lot smaller than Metal Matte….BTW, LOVE your eye look!!!! It’s kind of selling me on this….
Thanks, Katherine! 🙂
Holy pigmented eye-look Batman! It’s stunning! I cannot wait for your review, Christine!
Thanks a lot, Stephanie!
Love your eye look, Christine – very colourful 🙂
Thanks, Caroline!
I’ve been on the fence about this palette, but the look you created makes me feel like I need it just so I can try to recreate it lol I’ll still wait for the full review to make my final decision, but so far it looks promising.
The palette is not my cup of tea (although i cant fault the quality) but i just have to say… your makeup skills are amazing. Your eye look is a work of art!
Thank you, Lena!
Wow I love the eye look, it’s really gorgeous! I don’t know if I could pull this off but the colors are so pretty…
Thanks, Mary!
Wow- that look you created is amazing!! So vibrant!
Thanks, Julia!
Holy cheese sticks! You’re eye look for this is ridiculously amazing! Mine is supposed to be delivered today. Excited!
Thank you, Rayna! Hope you like yours!
Dagger and Skull look slightly patchy but the rest are beautiful.Eagerly anticipating your review?❗️
Wow, this turned out wayyyyyy more pastel than those original promo pics…
This still doesn’t seem pastelgoth to me.
But now I see what it *IS.* I’d say something like a Vaporwave dream.
I am pretty sure the promo swatches must have been edited badly, you are right these look very different. Also I prefer vapourwave to pastel goth so I’m definitely in!
Christine, I read every day but never comment – but am breaking my silence to say that this look is SO BEAUTIFUL on you. Thank you so much for your hard work to feed our beauty obsession, and for your creativity when putting together such beautiful looks!
Thank you, Carolyn! Happy first comment 🙂
I’ve never commented before, but I had to say the eye look you created with this palette is gorgeous! This would have been my dream palette when I was 15.
Happy first comment! Thanks, Drea!
I don’t purchase KvD products, but I did want to see your swatches – you are insanely talented at blending! I stand in awe; I’ve never wanted to put in the practice so I stick to neutrals.
These colors look like the 80s on steroids (which isn’t necessarily a bad thing to me!).
Ah! You are all too kind. I was worried it wasn’t quite blended enough (with so many colors, you want to blend enough that they aren’t stark but you also don’t want to lose the distinction of each shade).
Thank you, Jane!
Very pastel shades, but the combination of the finish (all mattes) and colours (pastel), is just not my thing.
Okay, at first I had no interest but these swatches are gorgeous (and true pastels)! Looking forward to the review, hopefully there will be some similarities with the Sigma Creme Couture palette, which I’m still kicking myself for skipping. 🙂
Omg Christine, you’re a unicorn! Lol! I love the eye look! I’d never wear that, but it’s so pretty :). Also, pastels look NASTY on my olive/yellow/warm skin so this is a very simple pass for me. If you see me in white based coral lipsticks you’d cry at the clash against my skin lol, pastels make me look green.
Not so sure it’s the most flattering look on me (full face and all) either, but it was fun to do! 🙂
The way you have this palette on your eyes Christina, is the only way to wear this palette;) yes!
Thanks, Nora!
when will they be available in store sephora ?
I’m not sure!
Amazing eye look you created with this palette! Just gorgeous!!
Thank you, Melissa!
10/10 eye look, my favorite you’ve ever done. Very unicorn!
Thank you, Linda!
What an amazing look you created Christine! I’ve gone back and forth on this palette. I watched a review on YouTube where the beauty vlogger swatched this palette next to the Metal Matte ❤️ and the yellow peach colors were almost identical, but just those two. The vloggers main criticism was how hard they were to blend. I’m curious to see if you had the same issue.
Thanks, Brenda! I haven’t used NYX Milk in awhile, and definitely not with this many products, so I found it a little harder to use these over that – but I’m not surprised, as Milk makes powders stick really well at the cost of some blendability!
CHRISTINE. THIS EYE LOOK. SHUT UP.
Aw <3
Like everyone else, kudos to the super creative, artistic eye look. It is beautiful. I want to add that these can go subtle too, and for your followers to not be scared by perceived brightness. On me (light to light-med with yellow undertones, fair lids) they are lighter than many images out there; pastel hued & not oil pastel, and nothing like the Sephora/KVD swatches (but the blue is a brighter kind of pastel & the yellow builds to bright). I’m a kindergarten teacher (& 45 year old mom!) and I can wear these colors by using just one Pastel Goth on the lid with browns/tans & nudes from metalMatte (transition, crease, browbone).
FYI, I wore dagger today & for me, it was beautifully even all day long – no patchiness, zero fading so far at hour 10 (but, I did use Nars eyeshadow primer, which makes everything perform super well). Dagger is a perfect gray: not too blue, not too charcoally, not muddy, not at all silver. The other colors are all really pretty too (especially meow and gloom). I love LOVE this palette!
They are definitely not as saturated as the promo images – not as white-based as most pastels you see, so they seem more amped up but still seem pastel-like to me (overall).
Hm, other than the white and grey, which are the most dupe-able shades, this looks pretty good. Your look is incredible.
Thank you, Kate!
I think I want this palette. I am disappointed in how weak the grey color looks, though. That green is really pretty. Christine, I love your eye look and how you brought the colors all the way up to your eyebrow. I read somewhere that you are not supposed to do that because it looks muddy, but yours does not look muddy at all. Yours is eyeshadow perfection!! I don’t have much space between my eyes and eyebrows so I need to use all the real estate I can 🙂
No harm in trying it 😉 I think that it is one of those “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” things, because I like the placement I do but not everyone does (and that’s OK!) – so I say go for it if you enjoy it / it brings out your creativity!
I love the colors! Thie shade dagger looks a little bit patchy but overall i love the color selection. The look you did is also amazing!
You certainly are the a Queen of the rainbow eye, and your skills are as good as your descriptors and qualifiers. Every day, you amaze me more. Who thought one could think bold and refined in the same breath. Gorgeous, woman! Gorgeous woman. No creepiness intended.
Aw, thank you KJH!!
I don’t care much for pastels but I wanted to say that I love your eye look. You integrated all the shades together really well in a fun way!
Thanks, Jenny!
While pastels are not my cup of tea b/c they clash with my skin tone, I will always appreciate decent pastel eyeshadows which most of these seem to be. They look a lot more pastel here than in the promo pictures.
Like everyone else, I’m in love with your eye look Christine! It’s gorgeous and so well blended in the right places!
Thank you, Aj!
Your eyes look incredible! I’d love to learn your blending skills. Wow!
Thank you, Mardou! For something like this, the trick is to use a smaller brush than normal!
Holy crimini! That eye look is so amazing, it almost looks photoshopped. And I *am not* in any way implying it’s photoshopped — I just think your skills are through the roof!
Thank you, Alecto! I was worried that I leaned a little too unblended so that is the best compliment 🙂
Your eye look is AMAZING, Christine!!!!
I love how the palette looks. Want.
Thanks a lot, Rachel!
Man…I did not get that pigmentation when I swatched mine tonight…
This swatches great. I am looking forward to the reviews.
Wow Christine you sleighed that dragon! You make this palette look good girl!
Thank you, Denise!
Disclaimer: Leesha, should you ever see this you will always be the Queen of the rainbow eye…..BUT…..
OMG! Best Rainbow, Unicorn, Pastel Goth-o-rama and any other word that applies eye look EVER! Obviously from the unanimous love it’s one for the record books. Are there awards for this sort of thing? If not, I think we should round up every beauty influencer that isn’t a jerk and start some because this proves once again makeup really is an art and the artist should be celebrated! I compliment you all the time but srsly. This is next, next level. It’s done to perfection! Any more or less blending would hurt the outcome. No more or less product needed. And the placement! Oh ::swoon:: the placement is so artistic and dreamy yummy! I know you’re probably embarrassed by the flood of praise but don’t be! You made eyeshadow into art!! AND you did it with COLORFUL PASTELS! Smh in awe.
COLORFUL MATTE PASTELS! Are you a Jedi? Cuz come on! They’re even matte!
You are really too kind, Bonnie 🙂 Thank you!
I would love for your to do video on how you did this eyeshadow look. Do you do tutorial videos?
Sorry, I don’t!
This looks awesome. Love the look you did. I don’t think this will look good on me. Too bright but it’s so beautiful
Thank you, Mo!
I’m surprised as well! The only non-pastel shades are the grey & white. Those should go into her shades of charcoals palette.
Clementine is such a beautiful colour!
Woaaaaah, what a FUN eye look you did, Christine!
Thank you!
You eye look with this palette is everything I’ve ever wanted in life. Dyyying over the greatness of it Christine!!! I didn’t want this palette but now? Now I’m sold.
Thanks, Bonnie!
Nice and Springy, just what the doctor ordered. I am definitely tempted.
For me, this palette is just a total “NO”. The only 2 shades I even remotely like are Dope (but I object to the connotations of the name) and Skull. But in all honesty, I am glad that there are lots of people who love this. I mean, really, who isn’t happy if our makeup-loving sisters here (and brothers, if there are some) find something that they really love and that fills a gap.
Woah woah woah, WOAH!! I don’t really care about this palette, because I don’t know how to work with these kind of colors, but now, looking at that masterpiece on your eyelids,.. I just might get this!!! Good job Christine!! I really, really , really like what you did with these colors!! Amazzing!!
Aw, thank you Sheena!
I’m seriously impressed with how good most of these swatches look — pastel matte eyeshadow shades are often dry and patchy looking, and most of these are anything but!
And the look you did is a work of art, Christine 🙂
Thanks, Fran!
Amazing swatches! I didn’t expect such great color payoff from such light colors. The only one that looks a bit sparse to me is dagger, but I’m sure that could be remedied with some primer.
WOW, I wasn’t really thinking of buying this palette but the swatches look pretty promising.
I’ve been wanting a pastel palette for a while now. Seems like the pastel colors always end up looking really chalky with no pigmentation. This one looks so good, though! I might need to get it!
Dagger is a little off but color me impressed, in pastel shades of course.
This eye look is fantastic and just so beautiful! Stunning, really. I wish I had the patience for such a thing, haha.
And I have to say, I’m not really interested in purchasing the palette (not quite my cup of tea) but I am overall impressed by the swatches (except Skull leaves a lot to be desired, ans Dagger seems patchy but workable.) It has exceeded my expectations thus far. Can’t wait for your full review!
Love the rainbow eye! It performed better than it looks in the palette, wish I could wear pastels but they wash me out. It’s been done surprisingly well, they aren’t pretty pastels, they’re edgy pastels.
Even though the shadows are not technically pastel, your eye look I think is very much in the spirit of pastel goth! Out of this world!!
That eye look is just amazing!
Thanks, Jo!
