Hourglass Diffused Heat Ambient Lighting Blush
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushes

Here’s a quick sneak peek at two of the Hourglass Diffused Heat Ambient Lighting Blush! I bought all six on Friday (they haven’t arrived yet!), and two press samples arrived earlier this afternoon so I photographed them right away.  I’m wearing both now and should have reviews up for them tomorrow.

i love the ysl rouge volupte lipsticks soooooo much! i got fuchsia tourbillon from the new spring colors and been wearing it soooo much! and wow my blush wishlist is getting long, so glad these are perm.

Christine–you’re so awesome to still be working on this Saturday! I look forward to those swatches tomorrow!

The YSL Peach Passion Rouge Volupte Lipstick looks super creamy. Just took a peek at the old review you have for it–can you comment on how hydrating it is?

I skipped Radiant Magenta when I ordered the other four that were available from Sephora first thing Friday morning, but looking at your swatches is making me think I may need to go back and purchase it. Thanks so much for getting these up quickly!

They’re both alot more subtle than I expected, but still to vibrant for my purposes. I’m hoping that sublety carries over to the other shades, as well! If so, I’ll be picking up 3…

Hmm, I wish they’d knocked the price down to $30. I know Hourglass is expensive, but this is a lot less product than the powders for $10 less.

I bought Diffused Heat yesterday and it looks wonderful on you! I can’t wait to get it delivered along with Mood Exposure. Thanks for getting up both swatches so fast!

I was SO anxious waiting for these today!! I knew they were due to arrive today, and it hit 2PM, and I was like, “GAH WHY I NEED NINE HOURS TO TEST YOU!”

hi christine! i’m new to the hourglass line. i’m sure hourglass recommends using their other face products such as their primers, foundations, and powders to be used with wearing the new blushes. did you find it wears better? i see you listed the lip color you’re wearing. are you wearing other hourglass products? i wasn’t sure that the “effect” of this blush would look as nice like with a tinted moisturizer? thankyou!! xo.

Hi Wendy,

I’m wearing Guerlain Parure de Lumiere + Kevyn Aucoin The Celestial Liquid Highlighter + Urban Decay Naked Loose Finishing Powder, so not an Hourglass product in sight. I haven’t finished wearing the blushes yet, but I haven’t had issues wearing their Ambient Lighting Powders over non-Hourglass products.

Hey Christine! Would you be able to test these with the Ambient Lighting powders? On the Sephora website, it says that they are meant to be used together, and you can’t get the same effect with other products so I was just wondering.
Thanks!

It’s just a finishing powder – it’s not going to really change the way the blush looks, performs, wears, etc. IMO, that’s just marketing spiel. What the Ambient Lighting Powder is giving you is the finished, luminous look all-over the skin, rather than just on cheeks like the blush (which also adds color), so it can “complete” the look.

I’m so glad I bought Diffused Heat yesterday! Also, I’m a big fan of YSL Peach Passion. The color seems to really pop with your skin tone, you look great! Surprisingly a universally flattering shade.

These are gorgeous (as I expected) and right up my alley since I’m a huge fan of high quality but natural looking blushers. Maybe it’s just my MacBook screen, but these two colors look strikingly similar, especially on the cheeks. So much so that I can’t see much difference.

I Love them! Im on my second “luminous light” powder, and I have the triple palette of powders, so I put the “luminous light” infused blush in my basket. When I went back to it this morn, it was out of stock! So I guess Ill have to wait!

Oh yeah, just looking at the sneak peak I’m glad I purchased the five that were available. As long as the longevity hold up, I think I’m going to love these!

Aww, these just look so lovely on you 🙂 Wish I had your blush skills!

These look really nice – I’m interested to see how they turn out, review-wise!

Erk, I think I’m in love! I adore the look of the new Clinique blushes and now I have these to add to my wishlist….it’s is getting ridiculously long. 😛

They look beautiful on you. By their names I expected them to be brighter but I’m glad they look more wearable for my taste however now I’m wondering if the other subtle shades would show up. I love how it looks like a diffused glow. I’m getting excited, I wish they were in stores right now so I can try them out.

THE MOST EXCITED I’ve been about a product, in a long time. And I’m really a shadow enthusiast! They’re beautiful enough to turn a girl!

Ooooooooo!!! I bought 3 of these from Sephora yesterday & can’t wait to see them in person! Thank you for posting these swatches, I’ve been scouring the internet for photos. There were NONE. Now I feel like I need to get the other ones, trying so hard to wait until the next VIB sale…

both ambient blushes remind me so much of my chanel blushes but hourglass’ has more like a subtle sheen to them…wth! im getting diffused, magenta, and maybe 2 more,i need this in my life!

These look absolutely stunning! I can’t wait to check them out for myself. I hope you will swatch the other colours as well.

The only (tiny) dissapointment though is that these look just a bit too similar for my taste. I’m not gonna pay 35 dollars for two blushes that are almost identical.

WOW! They look gorgeous in the pan and so very beautiful on you! As I mentioned in my previous comment – that lipstick looks amazing on you – especially with the blushes.

Surprisingly, the colours don’t seem as distinctly different as they do in the pan. Thank God these are not available in India – this would be an expensive hit to my pocket. But will definitely pick one of these gorgeous shades, when I travel abroad next! Thanks Christine!

Radiant Magenta was the only shade I thought I DIDN’T want. Now it’s the shade I want the most, that golden sheen totally makes the blush, imo. I fear that I actually will end up with all of them. 12 blushes in one month (6 Hourglass, 4 Clinique and 2 MAC Mineralize) is completely normal, right?

You’re just setting yourself up for the year, obviously!

And in February, when you buy more, we’ll pretend January didn’t happen!

In my world, 12 blush per month is TOTALLY normal. No worries, girl! If it makes you feel better, I think I have gone over that on occasion. I just got 4 Anna Sui, several new MAC, and I’m already planning to stock up on these. All normal LOL! 😉

You did that Christine! You look stunning. Although I didn’t have my eyes on these colors in particular, they look great! Thanks for the swatches and reviews

Yay! I ordered Diffused Heat…they both look beautiful! Excited to hear how they wear. Your earrings are so pretty, did you make them?
