I have a complete drawer in my Ikea Alex dedicated to ColourPop.. While I’m on the subject: I hate the lids as I can barely see the colours within. I find myself opening and closing the eyeshadows all the time to find the right shade I am looking for. I have far too many to completely remember all the names and therefore store with label up instead… which I cannot see without my glasses anyway. Grumble..

That aside: I love the cherryness of Jujurouge. The looks dupeable, but lovely nonetheless.

Question: What is the purpose of the sculpting stix? Face? eyes? safe to use around the eyes?

From ColourPop on Releve: “Apply on the top of the cheekbones, down the center of nose, center of the forehead, top of chin, cupids bow, under the eye brow, on the eye lid and collar bones to pull your features forward. Apply directly to desired areas and blend immediately with fingertips or brush of choice- we love to use a small to full size duo- fiber brush with good movement (not too stiff!).”

On New Renaissance: “Apply under the cheekbones, down the nose, top of the forehead, jawline and eyes (in the contour/ crease) to slenderize your features, create shadows and definition. Apply directly to desired areas and blend immediately with fingertips or brush of choice- we love to use a medium to full size duo- fiber brush with good movement (not too stiff!).”

Wwendy, maybe write the names in front with a sharpie marker? I use black or bronze gold color, to write the names in big letters on my lip liners, and I sort them by color family, so I can find the color quickly

I’m interested in how the Alchemy shadow plays. Apparently it was designed to be a sheer topper to make any shadow more shimmery.

I just got the Polite Society lippie which is nice and Alchemy. Whoa- glitter bomb. Maybe I was expecting more color less glitter but I don’t want to find sparkles stuck in my dang crows feet! Must be a learning curve with this. It was the newly restocked brow collection that I was after and Jamie’s collection was just there. Happy as a clam with the brow collection tho.

Nothing wows me here. All these colors are so run of the mill and similar to what they already have or what can be found anywhere.

Thanks Christine for the swatches! Your lips are so beautiful, love them! One question: do you think the Renaissance Sculpting Stix would fit a NC15? Or is it too dark and warm? Thanks!

I am a ColourPop addict, but this collection has been confusing me…what is the collection supposed to be about? They have a quote from Jaime King about her being ‘frustrated’ with the beauty industry, so I don’t know if this collection is just supposed to be a set of colors that every woman, no matter what skin tone, can wear? The name of the collection also baffles me – I just don’t understand what this has to do with these products. Am I being too deep? It sounds kind of silly, but in comparison, the KathleenLights collection is very clear as to what the purpose is and what she is trying to represent, but Jamie’s is just a little too muddled for my liking; I also don’t understand the majority of the names of these products and why they were named this way. Nevertheless, I did purchase Alchemy and Vanity Fair in my order last week, along with the new spring collection…The colors as a whole are very uninteresting and BORING, but I did want to try the new ‘glitter sheer’ finish and I am a sucker for any cool-tone taupes and grays.

I feel the exact same way! I have so much stuff from them, love nearly all of them, but this collection has me confused. I’m not sure who Jaime King is, but I like the idea of creating makeup for more skintones…but I’m not sure if this collection hits that mark, necessarily. For the most part, much of this collection looks skewed towards lighter skin color, and I find it all a bit off-putting…
I’m skipping this collection, but I thought the Kaepop collection was divine (and better suited for all skin-tones, imo), and I just got the spring collection — looking forward to that one!

I bought the box set, JuJuRouge and the highlighting stick.

Thames is a beautiful every day blush! I’ve used it pretty much every day since I got the package.

Also: I tweeted at Jaime King with a picture of me wearing JuJuRouge and Thames, and she replied back saying she loved it on me. That’s an endorsement it works, right?!
