Sleek MakeUP Pink Lemonade Blush by 3 Palette
Sleek MakeUP Pink Lemonade Blush by 3 Palette ($14.99 for 0.68 oz.) includes three shades of blush. This particular palette has two powder blushes and one cream blush. Icing Sugar was unfortunately a huge miss in this palette–dry, powdery texture with little color payoff and was quick to fade, while Pink Mint was nicely pigmented with a lovely texture and better wear. The cream blush, Macaroon, in the middle was average in regards to wear but was easy to apply and had good color payoff. Because of just how powdery Icing Sugar is, it is very easy to get powder from it into the cream blush, so the palette can get a little messy.
Icing Sugar is a muted, medium pinky-plum with cool undertones and a silver sparkle over a satiny finish. I was quite disappointed by this blush, because the texture was dry, crumbly, and powdery, which resulted in really poor color payoff that was somewhat uneven. The powder just didn’t want to adhere or stick to the skin in any way–I packed and packed it on then blended furiously to get any color on my cheeks. The color wore well for six and a half hours on me. Revlon Haute Pink (002) (P, $9.99) is less sparkly, brighter. Tarte Dollface (P, $26.00) is less shimmery. Too Faced Raindrops on Roses (LE) is brighter. Urban Decay Temper (LE) is less shimmery, brighter. NYX English Rose (P, $15.00) is less sparkly. MAC Stay Pretty (P, $23.50) is more muted, less sparkly. MAC Pink Tea (LE, $21.00) is darker. MAC Dame (P, $21.00) is less sparkly. MAC Gentle (P, $25.00) is less sparkly. See comparison swatches or view on the Dupe List.
Macaroon is a cool-toned, medium pink with a creamy, luminous finish. It is a cream blush, and it had good color payoff, and the texture was lightly creamy and easy to blend on the skin. The color lasted for just over seven hours on me. theBalm Argyle (P, $22.00) is lighter, powder. Edward Bess Bed of Roses (P, $43.00) is powder. MAC Weekend Getaway (LE, $20.00) is darker. Bobbi Brown Pretty Pink (P, $26.00) is powder. Bobbi Brown Pastel Pink (P, $26.00) is powder. See comparison swatches or view on the Dupe List.
Pink Mint is a medium-dark, muted orange with a rusty, reddish tone and a frosted finish. It had excellent color payoff, and the texture was soft, buttery, and blendable. The color wore well for almost eight hours on me before showing signs of fading. (Really wish Icing Sugar had been half as lovely as this shade.) It just slightly emphasizes pores. MAC Scene to Be Seen (Inner) (LE, $30.00) is browner, more muted. NARS Soulshine (Together) (LE, $29.00) is pinker. Tom Ford Beauty Love Lust (P, $55.00) is lighter, pinker. MAC Fleet Fast (LE, $21.00) is pinker, less frosted. MAC Stereo Rose (LE, $30.00) is lighter. MAC Ring of Saturn (LE, $25.00) is darker, bolder. Burberry Blossom (P, $42.00) is pinker, less shimmery. Bobbi Brown Coral (P, $25.00) is lighter, less shimmery. Benefit Rockateur (P, $28.00) is more muted, lighter. See comparison swatches or view on the Dupe List.

All three are really pretty, but if one blush out of the three rates that low, it’s a no go for me.
I hear ya! It was really a bummer.
Aw, this is a bit disappointing 🙁 Macaroon looked nice. And ack, I hate it when palettes get all messy and powdery!
Me too!
I was interested in this one, but now I’m not so sure… I really like the cream blush, and the pale pink is pretty enough that if I liked the orangey shade, I could overlook its shortcomings. However, not liking 1 of 3, and another not performing well, it’s just not worth it. Out of a trio, I should at least get use out of 2, LOL!
I agree! At least 2 of the 3 (at this price, if it was more expensive, I would need all three!).
I get better than decent colour payoff with Icing Sugar – it is a bit more powdery than Pink Mint (which has the same consistency as Rose Gold and Sunrise blushes) but I usually apply over a cream base and before powder, so maybe that helps?
It’s a shame this was disappointing for you – I really like mine 🙂
If you’re applying it over a cream base, it makes sense that you’d get a lot better payoff since all the powder will have something to stick to! Like my face has more oiliness to it (I am normal with a few drier areas) than my forearm (which is slightly dry), so I got a little more color to show on the face than on my arm (with less work)!
I’m so bummed about the ratings on these! I loved the price..!!! But not for a bad product! Bummer.
I know! 🙁
I kept looking at this on Amazon and almost picked it up. Glad I didn’t! Not worth it to me if 1 of the 3 isn’t good. Thanks for the great swatches 🙂
No problem!
Hehe, I have so much trouble with things like this – the ‘actual value’ part of me is like – one dud? Orange-y shade? Powder and cream right next to each other? No way!’ and the ‘financial value’ part of me is like: ‘Holy cow! Three largeish products for $15! I can’t get a single OPI polish for that here!
Such problems I have in my life, right? 😉 Still keen to get into Sleek’s stuff though, so I really appreciate this review!
Maybe one of the other Blush by 3 palettes is more consistent! Or else a single blush. I know readers have raved about those!
I really shouldn’t complain about being able to eliminate one thing from my bulging ‘wish cart’ at Sleek 😛
Icing Sugar was the one I was looking forward to the most! But I agree, it’s easily the worst of the three. It’s a fight to get it loaded up on my brush and even to show up on my pale skin : -(
It is so weird how night and day Icing Sugar vs. Pink Mint are!
So Icing Sugar got a D for not adhering to the skin yet it lasted for 6 and a half hours??? Which one is it then?
Hi Aimee,
You have to pack it on – you can see in the swatch how it doesn’t stick to the skin, so it applies very unevenly! I had to apply color five or six times, then blend, blend, blend to get any color to show up.
Odd that Icing Sugar got such a low grade. Bad batch, maybe?
A couple of other readers mentioned having similar issues! 🙁
Looks like the color itself, then. :/ I’d say the only candidate for Icing Sugar would be someone *really* pale with no color on the cheeks whatsoever.
I have this and have had no problems with it whatsoever.
Happy to hear it!
Did you use a primer?
Oh Pretty shades! But only 1 of the shades performed really well! Bummer 🙁
I know 🙁
How weird that they applied and wore so differently! As with the eye palette you reviewed, I love the sleek look of the packaging. I would love to find this brand in a store before purchasing so I could swatch ’em. The shades are great
Sounds like some of the Blush by 3s are great, some aren’t so great!
Generally I find their single blushes to be of much better quality than their Blush by 3 palettes. I have most of the palettes and I’d say the best ones are the Lace and Pumpkin palettes – all six shades perform superbly on these palettes. The Sugar palette has a couple of disappointing shades, and Flame has one. Just my experience.
As for this palette – I pretty much only got it for Pink Mint, because I’m not a fan of cool-toned pinks! I’m glad that shade is good quality!
Thanks for the heads up! 🙂 I’ll have to check out Lace and Pumpkin particular!
Happy to help! 🙂
Even the price can’t sway me on this one. With so many great blush options available this season, it’s a pass for this palette. I can hear those Clinique Pop Blushes calling my name. Still hemming and hawing over the Hourglass product because while the quality is definitely there, they just didn’t wow me and strike me as special like I thought they would and they looked so similar swatched.
I hear ya on the Hourglass blushes. Everything is very nice, but I feel like they over-sold the effect, so even though they’re awesome, they feel like a let-down a bit.
I was going to comment that I am very pleased with my purchase of this palette, but I just realized I haven’t tested Icing Sugar yet. I think this palette is the most subdued compared to the others.
I am so glad to see Blush by 3 reviews appearing on your site. I love these palettes and own almost all of them! My favorite is ‘Sweet Cheeks.’ There is a lilac blush in the center called Dolly Mix and it is just lovely. I also like the Pumpkin blush palette – it has a bright matte orange blush which I would never wear, but the other two blushes are gorgeous!
Long story short, I guess I am in the minority on here because”best two out of three” is still a good deal for me! I think of it like the Tarte Off the Cuff or NARS One Night Stand palettes. If I like MOST of the blushes in the palette, I am happy!
Thanks for the rec on Sweet Cheeks, Erin! Are the blushes in Sweet Cheeks/Pumpkin a mix of cream/powder or all powder or all cream?
Sweet Cheeks is a mix of two powders and a cream (the first shade on the left is cream – the only other cream blush they’ve come out with, besides the ones you’ve reviewed), and Pumpkin is all powder. I have Sweet Cheeks but I’ve hardly touched it as they are all cool-toned pinks/lilacs – not my shades! I’m sure it’s a lovely palette for others, though.
Thank you! I had no idea these were going to have any cream blushes in them, so it was a total surprise!
That cream blush looks really lovely. I would consider that one if it was sold by itself. 🙂
If only!
I only like the cream.
Guess it’s not a good palette for you then! 🙁
I will purchase this palette, only to depot pink mint. I am a sucker for orange blushes and a HUGE fan of Sleek! I wish they hadn’t raised the prices for their blushes.
Haha! It is a really nice shade, but I don’t know if I could buy just that one shade for $14.99!
Another product I was eyeing! I’ve never bought this brand before! I must confess that the California one looked a little more compelling for my skin tone. Now, I need to think it through…probably not (I just bought a bunch of other blush). I keep reading your reviews of the brand and haven’t bitten yet. We’ll see.
I did swatch the new Make Up Fore Ever blushes at Sephora today. They are so gorgeous. Will you be reviewing them? Almost too many to decide…
It’s permanent, as is Californ.I.A., so you have time to consider!
I hate limited editions! So great when we do have time…. Thanks!
I don’t like the color of Icing Sugar. It looks too light for me. But Macaroon and Pink Mint are so pretty! Makes me want it!
I really liked Pink Mint!
What a shame that Icing Sugar let the palette down. Would have picked this up as found out Sleek stock products in my local Superdrug. But not so sure now.
I wish it was just… half of what Pink Mint was!
Hi Christine, do you think you may be reviewing the rest of the Blush by 3 range in the future? I’d love to hear your thoughts on Pumpkin, because I was deciding between that one and Pink Lemonade!
I don’t think I have any others at this time, so nothing planned right now!
This is gorgeous, but too bad one of them wasn’t great. Pink Mint is a gorgeous shade, though. I hope they release it in a single!
Me too!
I really like the macaroon color on you looks great ! Do you like BH cosmetics? Their blush palette?
Sorry, haven’t tried it!
