Shiseido Shimmering Cream Eye Color for Fall 2011

Shiseido Shimmering Cream Eye Color for Fall 2011

Inspired by Dick Page’s photography and travels around the globe, the NEW Shiseido Makeup Shimmering Cream Eye Color glides over eyelids creating a luxurious and deeply pigmented look in an instant. There is no need to apply an eye shadow base or powder shadow on top as the Shimmering Cream Eye Color delivers strong color definition with maximum performance as well as unprecedented luster and lasting brilliance.

These lightweight, long-wearing cream shadows maintain a smudge-free and dewy finish that won’t crease or fade for up to 16 hours. Each shade can be worn separately or blended together for a variety of looks and effects.

With light-capturing power to outshine jewels, these shadows are smooth, blendable and remain stunning all day long using a combination of unique technologies including:

  • Jewel Reflecting Powder – a shimmering powder that reflects different colors from every angle, emitting an intense radiance.
  • Smooth Fit Base – uses Shiseido’s exclusive patent-pending emulsification technology to quickly remove excess oil and water after application, leaving only the essential reflective pearl and moisturizing ingredients behind on lids. This exceptional adhering quality is what gives the shadow its strong resistance to creasing and fading.
  • Super Hydro-Wrap Vitalizing DE – a Shiseido-original ingredient that moisturizes and improves dryness to give eyes a fresh look all day long.

This is very interesting. I’m a fan of Shiseido’s cream eye shadows and have several shades from their existing color range. I think they’re really good, esp. if you want to create an intense color like blue or violet and top them with a regular powdery e/s. Generally they’re easy to work with, even with fingers. I would love to see swatches of the new ones, and to be more precise,I’m curious about Caviar (the black one). MAC had released a cream e/s called Black Diamond in May, which was LE, but it’s hard to work with, too gooey.

I’ve had the yellow gold one for a little while & I absolutely love it! It’s so creamy easy to blend when it sets it doesn’t move, never creases! I have oily lids too! I prefer it over the MUFE aqua creams. I was going to get the bronze one its so pretty it has some kind of flex in it when it gets the light… I think its light purple. I already have benefit busy signal so I didn’t get it.

I got the Purple/Violet shade in my last Nordstrom.com splurge, and it’s so pretty. It’s very vibrant, shimmery and silky feeling. I can’t comment on the wear of it, cause I just did a quick swatch so far. The other colors look nice too. I know it’s a quality brand, I’m sure I’ll enjoy this GORGEOUS shade ;c)

These are GREAT! Gorgeous colours and soft and smooth creamy texture.

The colours are very vibrant. Saw them and swatched them at the counter, but didn’t get any because I can’t decide which shade to get. If I could have my way, I want to buy all of them!

Now, since grey is in for Fall, might get the silver one or taupe or black. Most likely black, since I don’t have any black cream shadow.

Only interested if they don’t crease, fade and all the other typical problems with cream shadows I keep running into – even those that are supposed to be waterproof and won’t budge all day they say.

I popped in to see these today and found that the old hydra shadows are actually gone… discontinued… bye bye :/ i was told these are the same formula just in different colors, new packaging and with a different name. the colors are pretty and they do feel and wear just like their others (i’m sitting here with stripes of brown, green and yellow on my lids now lol). i think the texture is a little grittier than the old ones – but they are more frosty too, so that’s to be expected.

i just thought i’d share 🙂 haha

reviewed these cream shadows recently, they are quite lasting and true to color, wears well without creasing on me [i used udpp as base]
and GR707 is not a metallic bronze, it is more like a mossy green, fyi…
overall great color range, and great quality 🙂

I just bought one of these in “Moss” (bright green) and so far I love it. First Shiseido make up I have purchased. I only did a swatch on my arm at the store. Colour was really vibrant, dried well and 7 hours later it’s still there and won’t rub off! It won’t budge at all! So i’m impressed. Especially if it lasts like that on my lids!
I think someone mentioned before that the colours seem more spring than autumn which is great for me, being in Australia, Spring is finally here and these colours are great!
Only fall back for me is the price. $44 in Australia is stacks for a single eyeshadow. I begrudge paying $33 for a MAC shadow!

I have tried this a number of times now and I have to say i’m disappointed. Especially at the price. I have tried with a primer (UDPP or PP) and without and after a couple of hours, the colour is nowhere near as vibrant and there is some creasing. I do have slightly oily lids but not ridiculously so, so i’m disappointed. I love it when first applied but on me, 2 hours later, it is definitely more subdued. If I have to apply a powder shadow or pigment over the top to set it, I can get something for far less than $44 AUD to do the same job! Having to set with powder kind of defeats the purpose for me.
