Sephora: Spend $75 Now, Get 15% Off Later (September 2020 Promo)

For those who are regularly spending larger amounts at Sephora, this just-announced promotion might be right up your alley! I wish they had multiple thresholds, like $35 to get 10% off later. I digress — if you spend $75 in one transaction today (August 27th) through Monday, September 7th, you’ll get 15% off to use between Thursday, September 17th, and Monday, September 21st.
Do you like these types of offers? Will you be participating to get the 15% off for later in September?
I put together some $75/$100 pairings for the Welcome Back sale held earlier in August, so I’ll just re-share those for some shopping inspiration.

I have a list of items that I’m wanting to buy and also my staples list so I like to use this sale, why not?
That makes total sense 🙂
A tiny sliver of savings after taxes are taken into account. Not really compelling enough for me to bite.
I’m fifty-fifty on sales like this. I do need to replace my trusty Lancer face scrub and the regular size is exactly $75, so I just bought it to get this savings. Last year I think I skipped it because I could wait until November for the 20% sale.
Other years I have taken advantage of this this offer, but even though I have roughly $65 sitting in my cart of actual necessities, I likely won’t be making that second purchase where I could apply the 15%. This just hasn’t been the year for it.
I dislike sales like this because the requirement to use the discount is so close to the promo period. If this were like the Beautylish sale where you have a substantial period to use the discount, I would be much more inclined to use it. This is the first year in several that I won’t be making a Rouge and I don’t expect to miss it.
Agreed!
Nope, I will most likely just keep picking up individual items as needed. Right now, I’m just not wearing that much makeup and more focused on skincare and I just don’t order that much skincare from Sephora.
I’m trying to resist. I was successful the last time. It really doesn’t seem like that great a deal to me.
I find it very interesting that Sephora is doing more sales/promos. They just had a recent one with $$ off based on spend. I pretty much only shop sales and just got what I needed/wanted from the $$ off sale. At least they are stepping UP.
I’m honestly surprised that Ulta stepped BACK their 20% off. The one they have now does NOT work for prestige brands. This is not a good decision business-wise. A lot of people are not going out and are minimizing. There is no incentive to shop there with so many brands offering steep discounts from their own sites. The only purchases I have made all year has been sunscreen. But that is it. (I won’t mention the issues of my local store as they are under new management per their Yelp page…but I stopped going there last year).
Right now, Lancome is offering 30% off sitewide F&F (FF-7T6P-KIDT-AVC2-AMIK). I literally looked in my email to see if there was a sale directly from them since I just wanted to get some Juicy Tube glosses.
I just wish these conglomerates would wake up. People aren’t flocking to the malls to sample makeup and ‘try things on’. The business person in me wants to scream WAKE UP. I am an operation/financial analyst and part of me is itching to do trend analysis. We had to do that recently due to COVID at my company. It also changed our biz model in some areas of the company going forward. The winners are the shoppers and the brands who have built relationships with customers directly.
I feel like Sephora is getting cheaper and cheaper with their sales. I wasn’t a fan of the last sale ($20 off $100), I still bought a bunch of stuff but I resented having to spend so much time strategizing how to save $20. Just give us 20% off already!
