Sephora Curacao Punch (13) Eyeshadow Review, Photos, Swatches
Sephora Curacao Punch (13) Eyeshadow
Sephora Curacao Punch (13) Eyeshadow ($13.00 for 0.07 oz.) is described as a “bright aquamarine with silver glitter.” It’s a bright, medium blue with a hint of teal and silver glitter. The underlying color has a metallic finish. NARS South pacific #1 is a touch muted in comparison and has no glitter. Urban Decay Electric is bluer and matte. Make Up For Ever #83 is very similar but has no glitter.
The color payoff was just so-so when applied dry, but it was incredibly pigmented and intense when applied using a dampened brush. The glitter also adhered better initially when the product was applied to the lid with a wet brush, because when it is used dry, there is a ton of glitter fall out during the application process. Unsurprisingly, the big downfall to Curacao Punch was the glitter fall out during wear–which was lots and lots–and was noticeable after five hours or so of wear. The actual blue color lasted eight and a half hours well, and it looked a bit faded after a full ten. I noticed some very slight staining when I wore this shade without primer. It feels soft, despite the heavy glitter content, and smoothes out nicely on the skin.

I really do hate fall out… so I guess I’d better skip this.
the non-integrated (for want of a better word) glitter is even evident in the swatches. It’s a shame because the colour looks stunning except for that.
Christine, do you have any idea why, all of a sudden, I have to type in my name and email address every time I post? Until yesterday or the day before, those fields were always filled in all the time, but now they’re not. Is it something I inadvertently did to my computer or did things change here at Temptalia?
Hi Mariella!
I know we refreshed some things, so it’s possible you’d have to re-enter your info but it should stick once you do. I will ask our tech guys about it! Thanks!
Christine, it’s not “sticking” – I have to re-enter every time, just as 18th Century Fox has to. There’s some comfort in knowing I’m not alone, though, and I’m hopeful it will be fixed. If it’s any help, I use Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome.
It’s not just you, every time I comment I need to reenter my info
We are looking into it! Thanks!
It already screams fall out disaster in the pan, but DAMN, the look you created is incredibly stunning Christine!
Wow– with that much glitter fallout, even from your swatches, I can’t imagine how much would end up on my cheeks! Unless I’m going to a party or it’s New Years eve, I just don’t want to deak with all that!
It’s such a pretty color, but.. ah well…
This definitely looks like something you’d see from Urban Decay. I’m going to skip it due to the fallout.
Oh, it seems to be fixed now (fingers crossed) as my required fields are there and my comment awaiting approval is visible to me! Thanks to you, Christine and to the techies.
Love this color. Too bad that it performs so poorly.
I love it! I love blue eyeshadow I find it be the prettiest!
reminds me a bit of Nars Tropic.
