Revlon Raspberry Pie ColorBurst Lip Butter

Revlon Raspberry Pie ColorBurst Lip Butter ($7.49 for 0.09 oz.) is a medium-dark raspberry pink with a naturally glossy shine. Guerlain Champs-Elysees is redder and brighter. Estee Lauder’s Wild Violet is redder. MAC Scandelicious is just a bit redder but has a very similar finish. Dolce & Gabbana Orchid is a hint darker.

It has mostly opaque color coverage, which may be what you’re looking for, but Revlon describes the coverage of their Lip Butter formula as sheer to medium. If you were looking for a hint of color with a balmy texture, this may not be your best bet, because it really does pack a punch with its color payoff. Raspberry Pie glides onto lips easily and has a wet look and feel that makes it have more slip but not too much that it bleeds.

The slip does contribute to a slightly below average wear time; I typically get four hours with the average lipstick, and with a more fuchsia shade like this, five to six hours, but I was only able to wear this shade for three hours. The formula is hydrating while you wear it, and the hydration lingers for a bit after you’ve removed it. It doesn’t replace a really good lip balm for real, long-lasting moisture, but it is a fantastic example of what a moisturizing lipstick should be.

This lip butter is MADE for you! Seen quite a few beauty girls on YouTube wear this and it looks horrible on them, but soo pretty on you! 🙂 Can’t wait for this to come out in the UK 😀

Beautiful. Unfortunately Revlon’s products are no longer available here in Germany. It was one drugstore brand I really liked. 🙁

I’ve gotten some great deals on lip butters — as low as $5.99 at CVS with 25% off. Lots of good deals out there. That lip butter formula is a winning one for Revlon to be certain! Good on them! I have nearly all of them.

Ooh, I definitely want this color. I hope it wears off evenly and doesn’t give me a lip line ring. I actually want Red Velvet, but this one might be a second purchase. Thanks for reviewing these; I know you have a lot to do, with the blog, wedding, and I don’t know what else. 🙂

I know some people complain about these being ‘too’
pigmented but I find it extremely easy to sheer these out into a light touch of color. kind of like a stain.

i bought this color the other day along with cupcake, lollipop, and berry smoothie. This was my favorite shade and they were 4.49 on sale at walgreens. Going to get more asap

I looooove Revlon’s lip butters. I’m on my second Red Velvet, and I hardly every use up a lipstick. I recently bought the cherry and the apple ones, and have a list of others I want to try. My lips feel so good after wearing these, I’ve started wearing them at times when I wouldn’t be wearing lipstick, just like a regular lip balm.

I have this shade! I’m super pale and it looks brighter on me, more like a pinky red color. I love it because you can wear it a little sheer too.

I have Creme Brulee, Brown Sugar, Fig Jam, and Candy Apple. I love them all but Creme Brulee is the go to color. I can’t wait to get more!!

From what I see this color looks like mac impassioned. Does this compare? I’ve been considering buying impassioned and if this Is like impassioned I will buy Revlon raspberry pie.
